Okay so first of all this place is Chinese. Now with that out of the way, let's get into the real review. Our waitress looked like she had a gun pointed on her head. Knowing my previous experience with Hana in Phoenix, AZ, that was already a big red flag. But in terms of the food, the only thing I find worth mentioning is that they make correct ramen. ...Yet it's correct in the same way that a groomed, mindless Asian student who spent all night memorizing a book to regurgitate its content on the exam will give you a correct answer. The food at Bimi Bistro looks and tastes like what one would consider ramen to be. Bone broth, ramen noodles, fatty chashu, droopy marinated eggs, etc. And yet, it's so bland and bloody BORING! It's like a "How to make ramen for dummies" book illustration coming to life. Completely devoid of any excitement or character. The very definition of mediocre. This extends to the appetizers like the takoyaki and char siu bun as well, unfortunately. Everything's as technically correct as it gets. It's actually uncanny how they could make food with all the right steps and ingredients, and yet so lacking in flavor. I didn't get to try the hibachi plate my friend got, but from the looks and his description, it seemed like it would've tasted like every takeout "hibachi" dinner ever as well. Personally, I would've preferred actually bad food at this point. At least I could write something funny about them. TL;DR Someone just learned how to make ramen, and opened Bimi Bistro. read more

Stopped in here for lunch. Like to try new places. Located in the-mall next to the Cold Stone Creamery. It's tucked in the corner and easy to miss. Plenty parking and the service is good and everything is clean and well decorated. It's a small space that probably would seat 25 or thirty. It is not a restaurant but a bistro and the menu is limited as would be expected. My pork Raman was excellent and the broth was exquisite! My wife ordered the bento box with shrimp. The tempura and grilled shrimp and vegetables were prepared perfectly. Don't expect a $9.99 specials! Our lunch set us back $ 40.00 before tip. read more

Love the location. Small inside with not a lot of seating, though. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Raman looked amazing but was bland, unfortunately. I ordered spicy but wasn't spicy at all. The takoyaki had was too much sauce and a little of the squid inside. The dark sugar Boba tea had little Boba at the bottom and didn't look appetizing but taste decent. I paid $35 for just me and left unsatisfied. I think $17 for a bowl a Raman is a little high, when I can go pho soup that's way better and bigger for cheaper. read more

Okay so this isn't the best in Fort Wayne now that I've tried Haru sushi and Izakayas ramen. Haru's is way more authentic and the broth has a lot more umami and it's around the same price. If ramen is what you're craving and you're a ramen lover you're going to get a lot better quality and better authenticity there than you will here. read more

Nasty is all I can say. We ordered $60 [with tip] carry out. Spicy Miso chicken Ramen w/xtra chkn, and hibachi stir fry beef Ramen and dumplings. The dumplings were fine. The spicy miso chicken was literally the most bland and nasty restaurant food I've ever eaten. The chicken tasted like plain, flat tv dinner turkey, the Ramen and everything else in that gross bowl had zero flavor... not a hint of spicy anything. A 50 cent pkg of store Ramen tastes AMAZING compared to this bowl of blech. My husband's steak Ramen was a tad better as far as having some type of flavor, but Def nothing you would want to ever order or pay for again. We have never NOT liked any Asian foods before this. I came to Bimi after visiting another spot that sold "ramen." I wish I found Bimi first! I had the Pork Miso Ramen - the broth was so flavorful, the pork was cooked perfectly, and they had the fish cakes/bamboo shoots/ and green onion included. Very disapointed in the Ramen especially for the price point of $16.75 for spicy ramen which is higher than most places in town. Was not flavorful at all. Service and atmosphere were meh. The Takoyaki was served with the octopus still frozen so it is not fresh octopus for sure. We sent it back and the second one they served had frozen octopus as well! My boyfriend and I went here for date night and really enjoyed the experience. We were both excited to see a ramen place in the area and couldn't wait to give it a try. I ordered the pork shoyu ramen and my boyfriend got the chicken stir-fried ramen. I enjoyed my ramen but thought that the price for it was $5 too high, especially for getting only 3 slices of pork in it. The chicken stir-fried was perfect though, lots of chicken and generously portioned. Actually I thought all of their menu was fairly priced besides the ramen and some of the appetizers. But hey, just my opinion ‍. I could also see where they were going with the atmosphere and decor but I feel like it just needs a little more to it for the vibe to fully come through. The food looked good, the pieces of chicken I ate were okay, however it seems the majority of their main dishes have mushrooms, something that I am allergic to, unfortunately I didn't notice this until after I ordered. Service was not the greatest, my friend was offered a takeaway container for her leftovers, I was totally ignored even though, except for a couple pieces of the chicken, I still had a full meal in front of me, had to call her back and ask for one. My friend said the veggies and all were good. I'll never go again, but by all means give it a try. read more

The food here is so delicious! Both times I've gone, I've gotten the Cha Siew Pau, which is so frickin' good. Next time I go, I may just order two or three of those. I've tried both the pork miso ramen and the chicken miso ramen -- both were super yummy. The wait staff are really friendly and accommodating. Basically, I have nothing bad to say about this place and I hope they do well because the food is amazing. I know it's hard for tenants to stick around at Jeff Pointe so go here now! read more
