There is a lot going on here. This a big restaurant with lots of seating. It is easy to find in the JoAnn plaza. It is nicely Decorated, clean and comfortable. There is plenty of staff to serve and make sushi. Our waiter was right on top of all the things. He hustled our orders in and got them to us quickly. Overall...I thought the food was fresh and had a good quality. This wasn't the best sushi I have ever had. However is was solid. The menu is very large. The all you can eat option is nice because it allows you to try al lot of different items you might not try. You definitely want to do this with a group of people.

Wow - did not expect this - clean, great presentation and fast - wait staff, sushi chefs, management - all were right on it!! Was not sure going in but whoever is in charge, keep it up. Great value!!

I have been wanting to try this place since it opened but waited until the fanfare wore off. I had errands to run in FTW & figured Tuesday at 2pm would be the perfect time to grab lunch. Our server was very attentive & explained everything. $18.99 for the lunch menu. I had to try the crab rangoon. It was sweet yet crabby, fresh & delicious. More crème cheese needed! I ordered the Las Vegas Roll. It came fresh & hot. It was sliced thinner than I had expected. Flavor was good. Hubby ordered the hibachi steak & shrimp. Smaller portion size was delivered to our table. Tasty. I wanted to split another roll with hubby and try the Udon. I ordered the Indiana. It was OK. I'd refrain from that one too. The udon was VERY salty. Veggies super fresh. I wouldn't order again. All and all it is a made to order buffet option (kudos to showing us it was cheaper to have buffet vs one shrimp & steak hibachi). It is better than many of the locals with a great decorative atmosphere. Would I go out of my way to go here? No.

Stopped by for lunch and it was wonderful! All you can eat is a great deal and you can order anything off the menu. The clear soup is delicious and flavorful. Sushi is so fresh! Our server was the sweetest and he was so quick bringing all the food out. They have remodeled the building so well and the space is decorated so cute now! Love the variety you're able to eat!! Will definitely be back!

It's a sushi buffet serving buffet sushi. Most of the feesh is about Paradise Buffet level or slightly worse. Paradise Buffet is a Chinese buffet at like $16. This place is a specialized sushi buffet at like $27 T_T (it's Chinese too btw, they just hide it a tiiiiiiny bit better). And THAT's not counting the sashimi surcharge for basically absolutely nothing. It's like they charge $1 extra for the back-breaking toil of taking a piece of feesh off the nigiri rice that otherwise comes for "free". Galbi is trash cut alla Uniq except they also only give you the bones. The way they serve food is more like they're feeding dogs rather than humans. Takoyaki is offensively small with a couple torn bonito flakes half-heartedly thrown atop for better looks. Most of everything comes in offensively small dishes per order and the only thing that had any real flavor was the crab rangoon (a Chinese takeout staple!). The squid salad was good too but I'm also pretty sure that this is the same stuff from Kroger. The hibachi rice was okay, kinda bog standard and not better or worse than anywhere else. Compared to everything else though, it was a rather good choice. TL;DR If you really have to splurge out $30+ for this, know what you're getting into and stick with the takeout staples, rather than doing sushi. Better yet, make the trip to Paradise and get some sushi from there. P.S. For a place called "Kanpai" Sushi, they don't seem to have a sake menu. Tells you all you need to know.

Recently, we had friends from out of town that came in for dinner and they were craving and all you can eat sushi option so we decided to head to the only one in Fort Wayne. I was surprised to see the price increase from when it first opened. Dinner buffet was $30.99. This meant that unfortunately my 12 year-old was also an adult price. I was surprised at the menu seem to be a little bit more simplified than when we first went there or at least the way that they laid out the menu on the plastic placard. Although there are many options for sushi, there are some very strange combinations that were not good tasting. One example would be the softshell crab roll. It had some sort of hard lettuce or green, leafy vegetable. This is not the way. It's typically done. Although the food was lackluster based on the quality to price ratio, I found that the service was super friendly. Food came relatively quickly after ordering it. Each round a customer can order five different items. There seems to be no limit to it, which is nice. My wife who was jetlagged was able to order just a single roll and she did not really want to eat, which was nice that everybody at the table had to do that all you can eat option. In the end, my recent experience has been a slight disappointment, but others may still like the all you can eat option, which is lacking in Fort Wayne.

My friend and I tried this place for lunch today. For $16.99, you can eat as much as you want from the menu. The food quality was excellent and super fresh! I really liked that this place has plenty of seating and great ambient lighting. Our server did a fantastic job, even though the restaurant was quite busy. This is probably one of my new favorite spots in Fort Wayne. FYI: Read the menu carefully because if you order too much and can't finish it, you'll be charged $5 extra for food waste, which I think is fair.

So this place was awesome! Monday- Friday 11-3 is lunch, it's $16.99/ person. You can order anything off the menu for that price. I recommend going with friends so you can each order something and try a bit of everyone's. I enjoyed every roll we had. Most of them say spicy but they are not spicy, don't let that intimidate you. I 100% suggest everyone order the Sweet Mango at the beginning of the meal and use as a palate cleanser. It's so fresh and delicious! The soups were very tasty! I enjoyed the fried calamari, it came in sticks, was very tender. The Seaweed salad was good, but i wasn't a fan of the texture of the way it's cut. The fried ice cream crust is very thick, so we just ate the ice cream out of the middle. Overall we will definitely return and try more!

Their sushi and appetizers are great but their service is sub par. I wish they would better train their staff on how to treat their guests. That being said, the food came out fairly slow. The presentation is nice however.

I've been here a couple of times already and always have a good experience here. The food is always good and the service is always good as well. I would highly recommend everyone to come and try. The lunch price is such a steal for how much food you can eat and pick from.

We stopped in to see the Grand Opening. Lunch seems to be the deal $16.99 all you can eat. I was thinking it was just the sushi and all the Apps and desert would be extra. Nope, I am full and happy enough to review the site as I sit. It's worth the Visit. Food is made to order, take your time and you can order 5 items per person per round so get Ready to Eat. All new in side. With a bunch of parking, on the North Side, this place is Amazeballz! And it's got a current music mix! #FORTHEWIN

My New Favorite Restaurant in Fort Wayne! The location is ideal. Lots of parking and seating are available. Besides the Mexican guy who brought us our food, who was not particularly friendly and failed to smile, the remainder of our visit was impeccable. We came for lunch and took advantage of the all-you-can-eat option for $18.99. The price was excellent, considering the amazing selection of menu items available, excluding beverages. The menu was huge with both sides to choose from. The environment was amazing with beautiful sceneries. The sake was exceptional, and the beer prices were reasonable. Our waiter, Nick, provided outstanding service throughout our meal. He was consistently friendly, attentive, and remarkably able to recall our orders with ease for all four of us the entire time. The food was served hot, fresh, and delicious. The sushi was among the best I have ever had. Every dish we ordered was delicious. I eagerly anticipate our return visit to sample additional menu items. Can't wait!!!

Dash In - historic downtown breakfast or lunch option…read more First off...Dash In won't appeal to everyone. The prices are a bit high compared to other places with similar food items. Parking may be a challenge depending on the time of day. And the dinning area is small. Dash In has been a downtown Fort Wayne eatery option for many years. They are located on Calhoun Street next to Pint & Slice and a couple blocks south of the court house. This restaurant has retained the vintage building feel. The interior brick and wood work are very attractive to go along with the more modern decor. The bar is very attractive. They have a very small street level outside patio if that is your preference. The shop is very small. I'm guessing the bar seats about 10 people. The main dinning area probably seats about 40. The team here is very friendly and welcoming. They hustle to serve. We went on a late Sunday afternoon and didn't not have to wait. I don't think they take reservations. There are lots of people coming and going with carry out orders. Today we had no problem finding a street parking spot. There is a parking garage nearby if no street spots are available. The menu is actually fairly broad. They have a special brunch menu along with a breakfast all day menu. There were several sandwiches and wraps available. A couple salads too. The coffee and alcoholic drink menus were very large. We didn't have either of these products this time so I can't give you any feedback on them. They have a special soup du jour and deli side selection. Today it was a mushroom arugula soup and caprese salad side. My wife loves breakfast and ordered a make-to-order omelette with a side of grilled vegetables. She really liked the light tasting eggs and fresh tasting vegetables. The tomato bisque soup is one of their staples. It is delicious and would be great with a grilled cheese sandwich from the menu. The soup was smooth and creamy. It had a gentle tomato flavor along with a more predominant milk/cream base. The soup surprisingly has a stronger spicy after taste - still outstandingly delicious! The side salad is very simple. It has a combination of fresh spring mix lettuce along with a minimal amount of onion, cheese and red pepper. The honey mustard dressing was smooth, creamy, thick and a bit spicy. It was mild on the honey/sweet taste while stronger on the mustard accent. The Italian panini sandwich was very good. The ciabatta bread was slightly grilled with a firmer exterior but not crunchy. The bread had a very freshly baked taste. The sandwich had a high quality tasting ham, pepperoni, salami and provolone cheese. The meats weren't piled high...but enough to get the flavor from each. The grilled onions and banana peppers gave the sandwich a nice zing. The pleasant aioli sauce moistened the sandwich and blended the spicy meats with the zippy onions and banana peppers. Overall the food quality was excellent yet a bit more costly than you might expect. The service was spot on and helped make it a pleasant dinning experience. The older building design, if you like that, adds to the overall experience. Give them a try!

It comes with two sauces. The marinara is thin and a bit spicy. The cheese is thicker in consistency with a mildly cheese taste. No real adders to the cheese to give it extra flavor. The sticks are thinner and shorter than possible those others offer. The beard is most and soft with a nice crisp to the surface. The buttery and Parmesan cheese taste a top of stick is tasty. The Italian wedding soup was also delicious. The meatballs were plentiful and right sized. The soup had a nice warmth and comforting flavor. The cavatelli pasta and sausage dish was a bit puzzling. The pasta was cooked to perfection - tender but firm. The white sauce was smooth and creamy. It lacked an Alfredo cheesy rich flavor. I tried adding more Parmesan cheese but it didn't seem to "cheese" it up much. There was a moderate amount of sausage in ten dish. The sausage didn't have a very strong flavor. I tried sprucing this up with black pepper with moderate success. The red peppers and other ads-ins where nicely cooked and added nice taste. Overall the dish was good.
