I've really been missing Flat Top. So my daughter and I gave Yummy Bowl a try. I tried not to compare the two places, but it's hard not to. I don't mean to brag, but my bowl was AMAZING!! Most of the sauces are sweet. I think there were only 2 that were salty. They definitely don't have as many sauce options as Flat Top did, but still some decent options. First time there yesterday. A learning experience. Clean store, casual and open, waitstaff prompt and enthusiastic, but hard to understand. Portions are large, prices not too bad. The better choice is the Mongolian grill OR the sushi / appetizers / rolls. Doing both is too much food and a higher price point. The Mongolian grill has a good selection of fresh ingredients. I was soooo confused going in but it turned out really good! You are given the little red card when you get there to pick what rice you want and they give you a bowl. You fill your bowl with everything you want (as long as it fits in the bowl) and hand it to the chef who cooks it with whatever rice you picked. Was a great dinner for a good price. read more

Overall an amazing place. The service was fast even though it was pretty busy and they made sure to check up on the table numerous times and get anything you may need. I had gotten the miso soup which was a nice appetizer to then be followed by a yummy bowl I created myself. Both were delicious and relatively good pricing. I would suggest anyone going to not be afraid to add as much food to the yummy bowl as you like. It was a fun, chatty area that is great to go to alone but feel not lonely or to go with your friends. We didn't have much of a wait on Saturday night. They were super attentive and made sure we had all we needed and answered any questions. I never had to sit and wait for a refill. The food was fast. The area where you put the items in your bowl to be cooked was VERY clean. They kept it stocked and wiped up any mess quickly. Everything looked fresh. They have hand sanitizer at the beginning and end of the line. There are also gloves if you'd rather not use that. They have tofu for vegetarians. The food came out hot and tasted great. Wow! This place is great. We went for lunch today. The staff was excellent. They were friendly and extremely attentive. Everyone in the group ordered a bowl and there were so many choices of veggies and protein not to mention sauces. Everything was top notch quality. I chose steak but they also had a delicious sausage to add that made this Mongolian entree different from any I have had and I absolutely loved it. I used to go to a Mongolian B-B-Q place in SoCal and missed it terribly so to find this place next to one of my go-to places in Fort Wayne is a blessing. Ok this was our second time at this place and the reason I am giving two stars is because of our experience tonight. We went in and there was a big group ahead of us so we had to wait a little to get seated.. no problem. So we get seated and the waiter comes and takes our order and we get the bowls and we also ordered Miso soup and everything was great. Until it was time to pay. Here's what happened. We were both thirsty so he refilled our drinks like not even two minutes before and then was like "Are you done?" kinda being pushy and without warning he takes not only our bowls... but our FILLED DRINKS. And I was going to STOP him but his FINGERS were in OUR DRINKS! We didn't say anything and we were going to go up and pay and he insisted that we pay at the table. And I was like.. ok? What's the difference? So we paid and left. The food and ambiance is great.. but PLEASE train your waiters not to be pushy. The place wasn't even that busy!!!
