I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and this was a last minute food stop since it was close by. The food was to-go and good and the wait wasn't long. The hostess was nice. They have truffles that you can buy at the front desk but they were very expensive in my opinion. I did not buy any. The sushi roll were good but huge. I love sushi but when the roll is so big you have to cut it I think it's because of too much rice. I really like spicy wasabi and this place had it.

Most importantly, the food was tasty, plentiful & appropriately priced. VERY substantial filling in the crab rangoons! And bento box is the way to go, if you're hungry. Ambience was a little weird from a very stereotypical starting point... 80s music and such. Service was fine. The ending was awkward. Noticed a Yelp coupon for free crab rangoon and they did not want to honor it. Implied that I had made it up. And the manager looking at it had a heavy smoke smell that ruined it for me. Too close for comfort. Blech. Eventually they called the owner, who approved it, but left us feeling very cheap.

I haven't eaten here for a bit and WOW! I have missed the excellent service. Thank you Colton! The crab Rangoon are handmade and absolutely amazing! Sushi roll is beautiful, fresh and yummy! Edamame is tender and steamy. So glad I came back here.

Nice and warm vibe and great food and service I went there during my business trip and enjoyed a lot

The food was delicious. I ordered some sushi, the Rainbow Roll, and it was pretty tasty. We didn't order any appetizers, but we got our food pretty quickly. If you came with family the total would most likely end over $100. With 2 people it was around $60ish for 2 meals and sushi. Tried the Lychee nigori sake and highly recommend it.

Naked Tchopstix, located off I-69 Exit 302 in Fort Wayne, is a very enjoyable place for Japanese and Korean cuisines, as well as sushi. The dimmed lighting makes this restaurant ambiance easy on the eyes. The sushi that we ate has exceptional presentation, taste and creativity. The quality of the food is great, and they have a grand drink selection! I definitely recommend the hot sake, especially in the cold Hoosier winter! As far as our service, the hostess welcomed us extremely well; friendly communication as always! And the server did a wonderful job with our visit at Naked Tchopstix; he was attentive with the menu and is very friendly!

Don't waste your time .. incompetent staff and won't do takeout for posted menu items.

We had a surprisingly pleasant evening last night at this place! It is kind of hidden, so thanks to good reviews we gave it a shot. All we ordered (pow pow thai shrimp, spring rolls, fresh salmon sashimi, tofu stir fry, and a very neat "quickly grilled" on the fire on your table 'playboy roll'-must try) was yummy. Drink was very well made and customer service was excellent - both thanks to Mariah. The price is super reasonable, and the bar area is cozy. Thanks for making our quick date night in Fort Wayne a memorable one!

Great sushi restaurant just across the street from my hotel! The inside of the restaurant was adorable with plenty of seating options. The drinks were well priced and so with the sushi, with a variety of different cooked and raw rolls to suit anyone! The nigiri was a little on the pricier side. They also had several bento boxes and potstickers. The only drawback would I say is a lot of their rolls were overly saucy (aka a little Americanized) - still tasted great but some of the clean good OG sushi flavor was hidden. Definitely worth coming back though, service was wonderful and fast!

Decent food, good service. Usually an easy one to get in too. Korean beef is a family favorite, the toast and jam and bento box.

Good sushi. Reasonable prices. Everything was freshly prepared and served in a timely manner. I had a French martini which was excellent.

The service and the food was awesome . You wouldn't think it was very good being in a parking lot of a hotel chain, but it was delicious.

Average sushi. Basic rolls and nothing unique or imaginative here. Will not come back. Too many places to choose from with better sushi.

On this occasion we occupied the large group room. The room was cozy and allowed our party to have an intimate room to ourselves. The staff here was very friendly and helpful. There was plenty of help to serve our larger group. They were a bit slow...but allowed us to pace ourselves and enjoy the fellowship. I was impressed that they hustled a child's order ahead of the adults food to keep them satisfied. I didn't see the waiters come back through much after the food was served. On this trip I ordered the steak teriyaki bento box. The box is a bit expensive compared to Other places. However the sinking atmosphere, location, quality and volume...justify the price in my mind. The box came with a cup of miso soup. The soup was tasty and a lot like you would expect for a Japanese restaurant. It did not come with a salad as many other places might. The box was stuffed with food! The steak es piled high and excellent! It was very tender and moist. It had a nice teriyaki flavor marinated in the meat. There were two crab Rangoon pieces and two egg rolls. Normally you would only expect one of each. The crab Rangoon wrapper was cooked so that it was a bit oily and the wrapper was mushy. The filling was plentiful. However I felt like the filling was lacking on crab taste and overpowering on cream cheese. The egg Roll wrappers were a bit more crispy without being too crispy. The wrapper was a bit greasy to taste. I found the filling...while fresh...to be a little mushy as well. There were five pieces of a California roll included. That was a lot of sushi to eat as well. The roll was tasty. It was put together nicely and gave you a good taste of each ingredient.

I know I walked out of there extremely full, knowing I would return. However, the best part of the evening? It was undoubtedly the service that I received from my server. A mom of several kids, we talked about the challenges of balancing school and activity schedules with work hours required by her employer. In particular, we discussed one of her daughters, who is apparently an avid golfer despite the responsibilities of tending to her other tables. And she handled that with a smile and with grace. As I was in Ft. Wayne on a golf-related matter, I keyed in on this part of the conversation. Again, it was extremely friendly to meet someone so pleasant. Back to the food - again, it was excellent. And I will be honest, I ate more than I should have! The restaurant is in a small strip mall, but it is well-maintained at the time of my visit. For photos, I suggest that you Google the restaurant - there is an extensive selection. This also applies to the menu. Many, many choices, and they all look great.

Thai Tea - $ 3 - This wasn't very good. It didn't really taste like Thai Tea. 0/5 stars. Spring Roll - $7 - This we got I think on a Wednesday night, because if you spent so much money you get a free spring roll appetizer. It was ok, but I wouldn't have paid money for it. 3/5 stars. Vegetables and Tofu $14, Chicken $16, Beef $17, and Shrimp $18 We had the Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, and Pad See-Ew. The Pad Thai had the best flavor, and then the Pad See-Ew, and I really can't recommend the Drunken Noodles. We got the Drunken Noodles medium spicy and the other two mild, but I couldn't taste any spice in them. I really wouldn't recommend getting the noodles here, but if you had to pick one, get the Pad Thai. Now for the good part, the sushi! Now, I was planning on trying everything and just making a giant list of what's so good, but I apologize, there's so many good ones that I just forgot my nit picking on certain rolls. You really can't go wrong with any of the rolls. I haven't had a bad one yet. I'm going to list all the rolls I've had, but really, just pick your favorite fish and I'm sure it'll be good. Dupont Red Dragon White Dragon Nagasaki American Dream Hamachi Fiesta Indiana Beach Fresh, fried, doesn't matter, all of them are good. They give you soy sauce, but you really don't need it with any of the rolls. Tempura Cheesecake - $8 - This was fantastic. This was free for my birthday lunch, and I was so happy with this. I'd pay money for this. 5/5 stars. Go here for the sushi and the Tempura Cheesecake! We stuff ourselves with so much sushi that we don't leave room for dessert, but I really should get that cheesecake again. Go here!

The lunch bento box is straight up hits: a California roll, shrimp tempura, vegetable tempura, rice and your choice of teriyaki'd protein (chicken, salmon, beef, shrimp or basa, a type of catfish). I chose salmon, which was cooked perfectly. The salmon was placed on top of the rice, so the rice kind of soaked up the teriyaki sauce and made it nice and delicious. My bento lunch came with a cup of miso soup, and it was so nourishing and briny, like only miso soup can be. So yeah. I didn't taste any of the sushi here at Umi, unless you count a California roll, which I don't. But they have lots of different types of rolls, nigiri and hand rolls. Umi also has a large menu of sake. So large, that I thought I would be remiss to not get sake to go with my lunch. The menu made me do it! So I got the chiku bai Nigori sake, and it was so smooth. Sake is served in a small pitcher with a small ceramic cup. I wasn't sure if the sake pitcher was supposed to be shared, but there was only one cup, and there was only one me, so I went for it. A sake buzz during lunch ... how extravagant. I visited for a late lunch, around 1:30 p.m., and I was the only person in the whole place. I got the full attention of the very nice server, who had 20 pens in her apron ("For when it gets busy and it's only me," she said, because I asked her why she has 20 pens in her apron.) The restaurant is tastefully decorated on the inside.

We left and there were absolutely no signs on the doors. There were 2 signs for food allergies NOT outside food. That's besides the point now. Once we got back to the car I was in disbelief I decided to call and ask to speak to a manager. I started to tell him the timeline from when we walked in to when she came over, he cut me off and said "yes we do have a strict policy about no outside food" I said "sir I understand that, and that wouldn't have been an issue but you do not treat people that way, she cussed as us" he cut me off again and said "ma'am I assure you, she did not cuss at you" my husbands in the background saying "yes she did".
