Great lil Asian joint... Stopped by Pho-Shi for the first time at lunch with coworkers... Such a well decorated and clean restaurant (as in "spotless") and the service was excellent; you can tell this place is very well managed. As for the food, really good Asian cuisine (kind of a Thai/Vietnamese/Korean hybrid) and well-priced. Other FW restaurants need to pay close attention to the Pho-Shi operation and their price points - They totally understand quality, customer service, and fair/reasonable prices. We'll definitely be back.

This was our first visit here and what a hidden gem. The staff working was some of the nicest people we've ever met. Friendly and genuinely thankful that we were there. The pad Thai was amazing and our roll was incredible. Couldn't beat the food and service for the price. Don't let the none fancy feel steer you away!

Food was great! I ordered Uber eats so can't comment on anything but the food. I ordered the egg rolls (chicken), a bit oily but pretty tasty. Got the pineapple fried rice, love this! Very delicious, sweet and flavors of chicken and curry powder, cashews really mixed well. Also got the Thai ice tea, not bad a little sweet for me. But overall I really enjoyed my fried rice!!

I stopped in to this little Asian fusion joint while attending an out of town concert, and it definitely hit the spot. I ordered take out, and it was ready very quickly, even on a busy Friday night. The venue itself is very cute and would be very nice for a seated dining experience. I ordered the emperor's roll, and it was tasty. I will say it didn't travel particularly well and fell apart a little, but that's just sort of par for the course with sushi takeout. I liked the depth of flavor and the generous seafood portions. The Korean gochujang wings were a serious highlight. Deeply flavorful, sticky, just the right amount of slickness....yum. I could've eaten so many of those. I wasn't too pleased with my crab Rangoon, although I think it's because they had to endure a fifteen minute car ride; they just became soggy. However, the filling was heavy on the crab and the sweet and sour sauce had a nice kick. If you're looking for some good Asian food with quick service for an affordable price, this is definitely a solid option.

Amazing pho spot here in Fort Wayne! I thought I wouldn't go near another pho spot until going home to Cali, only saying that because there are no other pho spots in the area, but here you have a fusion of Asian dishes! Amazing business, the ambiance is very Asian cultural, the service was quick and super friendly, and the food what can I say, but simply delicious. The pho tasted a little sweet to my liking, however it being the only pho spot around it is really good, the spices blended amazingly and the broth was rich in beef! I will definitely come again while I'm here!

Easily new favorite Thai restaurant in Fort Wayne! The pad Thai is some of the best I've ever had--and I eat pad Thai dish a lot. Great serving size and amazing flavors. Really kind staff as well. (When I dined in, the restaurant was playing exclusively K-pop and I'm a huge fan, so I couldn't have truly had a better experience.)

It was delicious. Some of the best fried rice I've ever had. The service was quick and the food was hot. The flavors combine great together and it was loaded with yummy veggies. I asked for mine to not be super spicy and they made it just the right spice level. Definitely will get again. I also got the chicken gyoza and it was wonderful. Very flavorful.

Quite possibly the best restaurant in Fort Wayne. Unsuspecting location that exceeds expectations with the deliciousness of the food and the quality of service. Very very welcome once you enter and what you order. Recommendations from the staff were on par and exceptional. Just go you'll thank me later

On this occasion we occupied the large group room. The room was cozy and allowed our party to have an intimate room to ourselves. The staff here was very friendly and helpful. There was plenty of help to serve our larger group. They were a bit slow...but allowed us to pace ourselves and enjoy the fellowship. I was impressed that they hustled a child's order ahead of the adults food to keep them satisfied. I didn't see the waiters come back through much after the food was served. On this trip I ordered the steak teriyaki bento box. The box is a bit expensive compared to Other places. However the sinking atmosphere, location, quality and volume...justify the price in my mind. The box came with a cup of miso soup. The soup was tasty and a lot like you would expect for a Japanese restaurant. It did not come with a salad as many other places might. The box was stuffed with food! The steak es piled high and excellent! It was very tender and moist. It had a nice teriyaki flavor marinated in the meat. There were two crab Rangoon pieces and two egg rolls. Normally you would only expect one of each. The crab Rangoon wrapper was cooked so that it was a bit oily and the wrapper was mushy. The filling was plentiful. However I felt like the filling was lacking on crab taste and overpowering on cream cheese. The egg Roll wrappers were a bit more crispy without being too crispy. The wrapper was a bit greasy to taste. I found the filling...while fresh...to be a little mushy as well. There were five pieces of a California roll included. That was a lot of sushi to eat as well. The roll was tasty. It was put together nicely and gave you a good taste of each ingredient.

I know I walked out of there extremely full, knowing I would return. However, the best part of the evening? It was undoubtedly the service that I received from my server. A mom of several kids, we talked about the challenges of balancing school and activity schedules with work hours required by her employer. In particular, we discussed one of her daughters, who is apparently an avid golfer despite the responsibilities of tending to her other tables. And she handled that with a smile and with grace. As I was in Ft. Wayne on a golf-related matter, I keyed in on this part of the conversation. Again, it was extremely friendly to meet someone so pleasant. Back to the food - again, it was excellent. And I will be honest, I ate more than I should have! The restaurant is in a small strip mall, but it is well-maintained at the time of my visit. For photos, I suggest that you Google the restaurant - there is an extensive selection. This also applies to the menu. Many, many choices, and they all look great.

Vegetables and Tofu $14, Chicken $16, Beef $17, and Shrimp $18 We had the Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, and Pad See-Ew. The Pad Thai had the best flavor, and then the Pad See-Ew, and I really can't recommend the Drunken Noodles. We got the Drunken Noodles medium spicy and the other two mild, but I couldn't taste any spice in them. I really wouldn't recommend getting the noodles here, but if you had to pick one, get the Pad Thai. Now for the good part, the sushi! Now, I was planning on trying everything and just making a giant list of what's so good, but I apologize, there's so many good ones that I just forgot my nit picking on certain rolls. You really can't go wrong with any of the rolls. I haven't had a bad one yet. I'm going to list all the rolls I've had, but really, just pick your favorite fish and I'm sure it'll be good. The lunch bento box is straight up hits: a California roll, shrimp tempura, vegetable tempura, rice and your choice of teriyaki'd protein (chicken, salmon, beef, shrimp or basa, a type of catfish). I chose salmon, which was cooked perfectly. The salmon was placed on top of the rice, so the rice kind of soaked up the teriyaki sauce and made it nice and delicious. My bento lunch came with a cup of miso soup, and it was so nourishing and briny, like only miso soup can be. So yeah. I didn't taste any of the sushi here at Umi, unless you count a California roll, which I don't. But they have lots of different types of rolls, nigiri and hand rolls. Umi also has a large menu of sake. So large, that I thought I would be remiss to not get sake to go with my lunch. The menu made me do it! So I got the chiku bai Nigori sake, and it was so smooth. Sake is served in a small pitcher with a small ceramic cup. I wasn't sure if the sake pitcher was supposed to be shared, but there was only one cup, and there was only one me, so I went for it. A sake buzz during lunch ... how extravagant. I visited for a late lunch, around 1:30 p.m., and I was the only person in the whole place. I got the full attention of the very nice server, who had 20 pens in her apron ("For when it gets busy and it's only me," she said, because I asked her why she has 20 pens in her apron.) The restaurant is tastefully decorated on the inside.
