After moving here from California in 2015, I was worried about finding a reputable place to get my baby serviced. She's always been taken care of by the same dealership where purchased. After going online, I took her to Autohaus BMW, which is a total rip off. I spent ridiculous amounts of money on service, and the technicians are so disconnected from the customers, you feel used. So now it's 2017, and my service light came, along with a few other things that needed to be serviced; so my co-worker recommended Bimmers R Us. I figured why not, couldn't be much worse than Autohaus BMW. So, I made an appointment to get my car checked today. Although I was over an hour late, they still made time to inspect my car. They made me feel part of the experience by letting me see all the things that needed to be fixed on my car. Most of all, I felt like they really cared. They discovered my rear tire was in pretty bad shape (shredded worn and torn). They put the spare tire on for me, and explained everything in detail in a non-mechanic language in which I can understand. I felt like they really cared, not only about my car, but my safety. The prices are reasonable compared to the dealership, and we were able to work out a scheduled bi-weekly service plan that works with my budget and schedule. I first learned of this business while working on my 635csi. I ran into Greg the owner and we talked about what I was preparing to do. He said if I needed help to give him a call. I got overwhelmed and brought my car down to his first shop on Daggett Street where it all started. Since then '91 I have bought four cars from Bimmers and had all my service done there with the exception of a couple of repairs I regret. Early on Bimmers didn't have all the fancy computer diagnostic they now have and my 635 wouldn't start so I took it elsewhere. That mechanic couldn't figure it out, he want me to buy a complete new injection system for $900 and he didn't even know if that was it but I would still have to pay. I called Greg at Bimmers and he told me it was the ECM and if I could get mine out of the car he could get it repaired. So I did and it worked and I started it up and pulled it of the lot and asked the service manager "how much?". He was not happy, but I was. With any company people will find differences of opinion especially after 23 years of service but I will always go to Bimmers first for any questions, service, and purchases.I've owned many BMWs over the years and I would advise if you have early or late model to give them a try. read more

If you bought your older BMW because of the way it drove and you are disappointed in anything new you are looking to replace it with, I suggest taking your old ride to this shop and follow their recommendations. You might just fall back in love with your older BMW. I purchased my black 2006 E90 325i in 2009 from Bimmers R Us. (I call her Perle.) Since then I have been back for the normal wear and tear items and have been please every time. This shop has a well-deserved reputation for placing things back on spec (which is different that within spec.) This last visit merits a review though. I managed to squeeze 173K miles out of an original set of shocks and struts. It was past time for their replacement. Since I was getting all 4 corners addressed, Bimmers looked at the thrust rods and suggested their replacement as well. I took their advice and am very happy I did. It is as if the car's handling characteristics have been moved back out to the edge of its performance envelope. I know this reads like a cliché but this 13 year old car handles like it was new and better that most of the new cars I have driven. All due to Bimmers recommendation. read more

I recently bought a 1998 328i manual transmission from Bimmers R US. This was my first used car purchase, but read that BMWs were reliable with consistent maintenance and upkeep. The 1998 328i had about 200,000 miles, which made me hesitant at first, but on the test drive, the engine and shifting felt smooth and solid. There were extensive service records for the vehicle and it only had one previous owner. I've put about 1,500 miles on it so far, and am very pleased with the 328i. Although purchasing a 200,000 mile vehicle seemed risky, the staff and expertise at Bimmers R US are what ultimately convinced me to make the purchase. All the staff were knowledgeable and ready to answer any questions or concerns I had. Greg was informative and helpful regarding maintenance and repair. Rohan was courteous and welcoming in answering questions and scheduling services. Jack was helpful with all the paperwork and registration requirements. Justin was helpful and informative on the test drive. All other staff were friendly and professional as well. Overall, I would highly recommend Bimmers R US for any of your BMW purchases and service maintenance. read more

Recently i purchased a 2000 BMW with very low mileage. It had been well maintained but obviously not driven much, so I wanted a BMW mechanic to look it over to make sure it was in good shape. I had purchased a car at Bimmers R Us in the past and used their service department many times, so when the "check coolant" light went on I quickly contacted Greg Stroud, the owner. After checking my car over, Greg called me with an estimate that caused only a minor gasp, but none of the needed repairs were really a surprise to me. The good news is that Greg kept me informed every step of the way and the bill was what he told me it would be--no unwelcome surprises. Now I'm back on the road confidently driving a car I love. Today I dealt with Greg and Jack. I have a certified BMW under warranty to 100k miles. I have had it in to the BMW dealership about 5 times for the same problem and each time I have been told that the computer didn't show any faults. I talked to Greg today to get an estimate for a routine service and described the problem to him. Greg allowed me to go in today and without an appointment plugged my car to the computer, inspected it, and located the problem that BMW has not found in almost three years. It didn't stop there; he called the dealership for me, told them what the problem was, and confirmed that it is covered under warranty! No charge for his service today. These guys know BMW's. You know how in the movies, a character meets someone under not-so-good circumstances and then they end up being best friends for life? This is exactly how I feel about Bimmers R Us--I turned them them in the middle of a scorching St. Louis heatwave after my Mini Cooper's AC went out and they were amazing! They were super fast (even after squeezing me in!), pleasant to work with and they even gave me options for my repairs at a fair price. It's never fun to have to replace your car's AC compressor, but when you have to--let Greg and the team work it out for you. Bonus? The gang at Bimmers R Us is simply amazing! I have a pristine 1999 M Z3 and I needed to replace the back (plastic) window, replace two panels on my console that developed small cracks as well as do an alignment and oil change. Greg sensed how nervous I was leaving my baby with them and he had the car brought into the showroom to do all of the cosmetic work and never let the car brave the elements. I recently had my E39 serviced here and I was very pleased with the accurate problem diagnosis, the fast fix, and the reasonable labor charge. Before contacting Bimmers R Us another "mechanic" stated I needed a timing chain replacement to fix a noisy engine and intermittent stalling. Bimmers R Us determined the problem was a worn idler pulley and tensioner pulley and a bad alternator. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this business. read more

Can't say enough good things about Greg and Bimmers R Us. We were racing in Arkansas and had some tuning problems. We were three hours away from Greg but he agreed to stay open for us and fix the problem. He immediately started on the car and in an hour he visited with Carbahn, reloaded all of the programming and tested the car. The results were great and the race weekend was a success.
