Finally am able to try Bingo Tea and I really enjoyed it. I like how the menu is not too extensive and the choices are great. What stood out to me right away is the oolong, jasmine and purple yam. I definitely know I was to try all three one day. I opted with the Jasmine tea and I thought the flavor was almost perfect. The tea tasted really good but it just had a hint of too much milk but not horrible. The boba was really tasty and well cooked. I also like the cup it came in. It was a little better plastic than the normal cups and might be reusable. I also noticed some pastries in the cabinet. Will probably check it out next time as we were on a tight time schedule. The place is nicely decorated and is definitely a nice addition to Chinatown Square. I would recommend it. I think the prices are a little pricey but I think it is worth it because of the taste and the type of cup. It definitely taste more quality than some boba places. read more

I have a special affinity for tropical fruits - one being dragon fruit - so any time I see it on a menu, I just have to order it. Bingo Tea currently offers two dragon fruit drinks, one blended as a smoothie and the other blended with tea. I already ordered the peach tea w/ lychee jelly so I decided to switch it up and get the dragon fruit as a smoothie. Rookie mistake? Maybe. Unfortunately, my smoothie tasted very off, and I think the dragon fruit they used might have been either underripe or overripe. It was very sweet but didn't have that refreshing tropical taste that I expected. In case you didn't know, there are several varieties of dragon fruit, some with white flesh and others with pink/red flesh. The one they used for the smoothie was white-fleshed. Went into the first tea place we saw and it was pretty promising upon walking in. The menu is tiny and their drinks did not match their yelp photos. They didn't have any names to their photos. No help from the cashier either. Went with the Ultimate Fruit tea. It literally is a cup of tea infused by numerous fruits like chunks of watermelon, oranges, Grapefruit and strawberries. When I walked in, I spontaneously ordered the first drink on the menu which is the Ultimate Fruit Tea with a side of tapioca. I like the tart, slight sweet and refreshing flavor the drink has! Not only does the drink include all the fruit flavors, but it also have slices of fruits mixed inside (pineapple slices, blueberries, kiwis, oranges). I feel good knowing that I ordered a fruit tea that's packed with vitamins and antioxidants too. This is hands down the best boba in Chicago. I'm from Southern California where boba is practically on every corner and this would definitely be competition to my usual options back home. Yes, it is a little bit pricey but I think for the quality and size, it is worth it. Plus, I like to keep the cups and reuse them at home, since they are so cute. I am a huge tea lover and always want to try new flavor. When I heard this place has sea salt foam on top of their drinks, it was added to my bookmark. I got the Jin Feng Tea. I really like that they had this cool custom lid for their drink. So when you drink the tea, you get a bit of tea and also the sea salt foam. The little bit of saltiness with the tea was reall good. I didn't know how to drink it properly at first but you definitely gotta lean back and drink it very slowly (allow the natural flow of tea swoop cheese into your mouth). Everything seems to be a little pricier than the other places in chinatown; nonetheless, it's still on our regular rotation. They used to have bakery items, like a durian bread that was really good but I didn't see it last time I went.
