Don't bother with the slick , corporate projection that Safelite auto puts out. This is a real business with real people. Bam thank you ma'am, he did all the detailed work, grinding and sealing (that should be done) to stop leaks from happening with a windshield replacement . The services company my insurance company uses for glass claims referred me to Binswanger. I talked to 'Sonya' there, who said they would find the glass and contact me once it arrived for installation. I talked to 'Sonya' again, who set up an appointment for the install. When the tech arrived, he realized that it was the wrong glass, apologized, and said they would get the right glass and he would make sure it was the right one before coming out again. Over 2 weeks went by with no contact, so I called Binswanger and talked to 'Felicia' who said 'Sonya' takes care of that, but she was busy. Later, 'Sonya' left me a message which said to the effect "I was hoping the dealer would be able to locate the glass for me, but there is not one available anywhere in the US, so we are not going to be able to complete this request." I got the sense that I got bailed on completely, so please read further. I had to call back my insurance company, and find out what my options were now, and they told me they could locate a 'used' piece of glass, but that I would need to find someone to install it. OK, I called my favorite dealership, and they gave me the number of the auto glass company they used whom I called. In talking to this other company, I was asked what glass I needed, so after some information passing, I was told by 'Abby' that she was sure she could find this glass for me, so I told her to call me back with what she found out. She did call me back in about 15 minutes, and said she had the glass in stock, and set up an appointment for install 2 days later. (The tech came on time, installed the glass, and it was the right glass.) So from my recent experience, I think Binswanger is a complete fail, totally letting me down, deserving the lowest possible rating, and I would urge anyone and everyone to avoid this company for any of your glass needs, because they are not customer focused, nor are they honest, nor are some their employees knowledgeable in how to do their jobs. I put the blame for this solely on the company's management, as they are responsible for the employees they hire and employ. This encounter with Binswanger wasted my time, caused me undue stress, and extra effort to resolve my broken glass claim for my auto, which could have been quite a nightmare if it wasn't for the helpful person at another auto glass company (Ultimate Auto Glass BTW - thanks Abby!). So my windshield originally got damaged at the end of June . My first attempt was to go through Safelite. Every week safelite would tell me that they were unable to do my repair because my windshield didn't come in on time ( they had to special order it ) . After FOUR MONTHS, I gave up on Safelite and was given the information for Binswanger . I called on a Friday and it's now Monday and my windshield has now been replaced ! I can't thank these guys enough . They were fast and efficient ! They came to my job and had my car done within an hour . I promise you these guys are amazing and honest . Thanks again !!! read more

I had a crack form on my windshield while driving to work. I immediately took my car to Binswanger Glass, its right across the street from my university, Southern Poly, so I thought I would check them out first. The woman who helped me at the front desk was incredibly helpful. She ordered the windshield (overnighted it so I would be able to fix it the following day), explained my options and set an appointment for me the following day. I must have spent five minutes there. I have a 2008 Toyota Matrix that need some work done on the front passenger window as the window itself wouldn't go up or down. I had some quotes given to me over the phone by Toyota collision in Marietta and G&S motors off of canton rd in Marietta. Toyota was charging me about close to $400 for the work they would have to do and may I add I wasn't sure myself what needed to be done with the window. I was told that prob the window came off of the chips that are preinstalled when they add windows in a car. I was also told that it could be the regulator or the motor so they gave me a quote of 400. G&S motors gave me a quote of 280-300 for installing new a new window and fixing the motor and the regulator if that is what the problem was. I called on a Monday and had an appointment with them on Friday, now this could had been sooner but my schedule did not allow it. When I called I told them what I was told about what might be the cause of the window not going up or down they told me that it may be the regulator or the motor or the window itself could be broke. They told be $218. I asked if this included the labor and parts he said yes. I made the appointment and went that following Friday. When I got there I told them I had an appointment and was greeted by a nice guys who gladly took my key and drove it out back. 10 min later he came it with my glass and showed me what was wrong and explained what he would do and how the parts worked. I was very glad he took the time to explain what was being done as I have no knowledge of cars. He told be it would take him about 30 min and it did. He drove my car up to the front of the store and I paid and came out happy with the work! I would gladly send people their way. The overall interior of the place isn't all that great the chair I say it was a bit old and u comfortable but didn't mind sitting there for the service I got. read more

You'll want to pick another residential glass company. While the guys at Binswanger are nice (especially the installers), I can't say much for Binswanger's communication/organization/project management skills. It took 3 attempts to get the correctly sized glass installed in my unit (plus an initial visit that was just supposed to be to assess and MEASURE the glass to be replaced). Since someone had to rappel off my roof to help get it done, there was a LOT of coordination needed between the glass crew, the building's HOA/front office, and me. The crew even had internal communication problems. They did not know if the rappeler was coming for several hours. Their communication (or lack thereof) made an expensive and, therefore, stressful situation worse. For the price tag and the time elapsed since I first contacted Binswanger (10.5 weeks - especially since, based on original information, it should have been done in under a month), I can't believe it has been this much of a pain in the rear. They did give me a $100 credit for the inconvenience of them getting my class order wrong multiple times, but considering how many times I had to re-arrange my schedule or wonder if I'd ever hear from them again, I wouldn't recommend them. read more

Follow up to my first review - after the manager read my review on yelp he contacted me and scheduled an appointment to come out and look at the glass personally. He was very apologetic for his employees attitude and scheduled to have different techs come and correct the problem. They were prompt, polite and efficient. I greatly appreciate the immediate response I received from management at Binswanger Glass! Based upon this outcome I would recommend them because I do believe they are a genuine customer service oriented company! read more

These folks were great. I needed a replacement dresser mirror that was in a frame and broke by movers. I called for a price quote and was quickly quoted a price by Jessica who was very polite and professional. I brought the frame in late in the afternoon, had it measured for accuracy and my order was ready first thing the next morning. They requoted based on the actual measurements and the price actually went down. They are very honest to work with and I was extremely happy with the quality of the work and the pricing as well as with everyone in the office and workshop that I dealt with. read more

I would never use this company for anything more complicated than a broken car windshield. That seems to be their expertise. DO NOT use them for complex window units for your home. They were once a good vender but that is no longer true. They were supposed to replace a broken insulated glass window, but they kept making the replacement incorrectly--wrong glass, pattern on the wrong side, etc. After numerous excuses they finally said they just couldn't do it properly. We wasted six months waiting, talking, waiting.... Also they say "I'll figure this out and call you back tomorrow" and NEVER do. The front office seems discombobulated and unorganized. We used to swear by this company and recommend them to everyone, but they have really gone downhill. Save yourself the time and heartache and use someone more professional. read more

Had a small rock chip in my windshield repaired. Upon examination, I noticed numerous air bubbles and an incomplete fill. Pisses me off, because I filed an insurance claim to offset the cost. I could have done a better job using an off shelf repair kit. While I was waiting, a woman brought her vehicle back because her windshield gasket came completely out and was sitting in her floorboard. They had installed her windshield the day before. Do not let them repair your auto glass. I will never use their service again. read more

I've worked with this company in the past and they were fantastic. Super products and talented installers. They have obviously gone through changes in their retail / consumer staff and I can no longer recommend them. I experienced a terrible attitude and lack of understanding by the lead technician.
