No member of staff could say what was happening other than their systems were down. I asked for a manager who said I should stop asking questions (like did we have a time frame for any delay?) because it made her staff uncomfortable since they didn't know the answers: I said I had planned on a few hours but would like to know if I needed to reschedule. The manager shrugged. I called to complain and was rescheduled for another location. When I arrived and halfway thru the physical, I was told I was banned and all staff refused to speak further. If that's how they perform customer service imagine their medical skills!

Yesterday was my first donation with them, and the first time I saw a trail of blood dripping down my arm within the first five minutes of the donation process. Another lan technician came by to switch the needle from the left arm to the right, could not find the vein the previous technician found, and my donation was ended immediately without blood being returned. No accountability, either...they just talked to me like it was MY fault while the other techs have zero customer service skills or professionalism; they were shouting at me from across the room and loudly talking amongst themselves about break time and weekend plans. I will not go back.

Not a big deal but when I tried to speak with the tech she immodestly started yelling that " I DID YOU A FAVOR BY BRINGING YO IN. I COULD HAVE LEFT YOUR ASS STANDING." I wonder if this was her motivation to belittle me in front of the other guests. This was definitely the vibe I got from her What a shame. I donate to do the right thing, not to be treated like a POS.

Working remotely I now have an assignment in the Orlando area which facilitates reassuming my donations here locally. My initial interaction with a help desk gentleman at 609 N Powers dr. Was nothing short of unprofessional, unwelcoming and borderline hostile. I was told that my address verification letter which had a USPS date stamp for the previous week was unacceptable and I was additionally insulted and asked who was the letter sent by . Even if the letter was sent from Santa Claus, that was in no way reflective of company policy, donor eligibility requirements, or my personal privacy. This staff is grossly unprofessional, displays aggressive patterns, of behavior and treat potential donors as an inconvenience . As a verified donor I merely required a change of venue, not a hostile interrogation from an inarticulate staff member.

I have been waiting on a bed for approximately 15 mins and still only been asked what's my name. Majority of associates are just standing around. Now i understand why so many talk trash about this location. Caring for patients and their health is key not letting them sit there longer than needed nor should they be allowing anyone to sleep. Phlebotomy does not teach to be lazy or to sit on your ass it teaches you to help make more medicine for those in need. I been donating for 6 years this was my second time to this location thinking it'll be different from the 1st visit. Hell no this plasma center needs to close down and allow another center to open. This is why I choose grifols plasma centers

Two weeks ago, the "new girl" blows up my arm because she basically doesn't know what she is doing…read more She fumbled and hesitated and didn't appear to be confident in what she was doing. After she stuck me, I looked and to my amazement, the needle was all the way in! Now she's trying to withdraw it because there's no flow because she's not in the vein but, all the way through it! I know she's new because when things went wrong and someone stepped in to try to correct what she did wrong, I asked "how new is she"? She replied "new". Which to me implies very new and probably isn't ready to be sticking needles in someone's arm. So, now I have a hematoma the size of a wallnut and I'm deferred until it heals. There goes all my money for 2 weeks along with bonuses. But wait, there's more! I return after 12 days all healed up.But, before I donate I have to speak to management to discuss what happened on my last visit. Then, I go to vitals. She takes my blood pressure and says it is 184/97! That is impossible I stated. My blood pressure 2 hours before was 127/77. So, how the hell does my systolic go up 60 points in 2 hours? It doesn't! Maybe if I did 2 lines of coke and chased it down with 10 cups of coffee I could get it that high. It's because they don't know how to take blood pressure either. They are always using the wrong size cuff for one thing. Just look up how to properly take BP. The first thing mentioned is sitting with your feet flat on the floor relaxed etc. How can you sit relaxed, feet flat on the floor when you're sitting on a bar stool that's 4 feet high? So, then she tells me my "hematocrit" is low also. Of course I don't believe her for multiple reasons but if she can't take BP properly, well, you know. It gets even better. I get home and try to schedule an appointment for the next day but I can't because it says I'm deferred. That is ridiculous so I call customer service and get absolutely no where with those people. You shouldn't be deferred for BP and hematocrit. BTW, good luck if you have to get in touch with the donation center. Its not happening. I don't remember seeing anywhere on the risk poster "beware of knuckle heads". I'm tired of paying for THEIR MISTAKES! They don't even give compensation when it is so obviously THEIR FAULT!

Ok, I was willing. The 1st visit- nobody seems to man the "customer service" desk, I arrived 5-10 minutes after opening and went directly to the customer service desk where I stood waiting for 10 minutes before a very bored looking technician asked if I need d something!? She got another sad/bored employee to help me. No one in this place looks happy, there is NO music, I went in February and the remnants of old Xmas decor was still partially taped to various places on the wall. I've gone 3 times now, every time the technician (always a different one) jabs the needle in my arm... then starts "threading" the needle in my vein!! The last time I was there: 4-5 "suits" there waiting for a manager, the kiosk dirty and looks like syrup on it (at opening), rude tech doing vitals calling out my weight, and while donating, a technician named something like Janeka (?) bummed my corner donation bed so hard, it shifted about 6" and she never apologized or checked if everything was okay! NO ONE is happy here.. not employees or donors! I'd rather go back to BioLife... not as much $$ but the employees are always so sweet, the place is spotless and music is always playing! Oh... and you can make an appointment and not have to wait HOURS! Kedplasma needs to just shut their doors: dirty environment, rude/unhappy employees.

But when the "nurse" who put the needle in his arm, completely missed his vein and DUG the needle around in his arm for a minute, and had to have someone else re poke him to find it! You would think a plasma donation center would have professionals to do the procedure but don't be surprised if you're next.
