One of the times my arm filled up with saline and while it was happening i told someone and they said "just don't touch it." By the end I had a big bubble in my arm and it hurt. I used to love this place and really trust them. I used to be in and out in under an hour, and the pay was really good. Now the pay has decreased and it took me THREE hours today to get through as a returner. It has consistently been taking 1.5-2 hours and I felt like that was manageable but if it is going to be as far as 3 hours that is definitely not worth the money anymore. Plus the staff is not paying good attention because there are so many people and you will be sitting in the chair for 35+ minutes before ever getting poked. Last time the guy poked me SO FAST and aggressive that I jumped. It hurt way worse than usual and then I was so scared that it went through and kept anticipating it to infiltrate with the return. Then today I was praying not to have that man poke me again but the different phlebotomist seemed super nervous about accessing my arm and freaked me out too. He kept saying "are you sure you want to do this arm?" and I would reply saying we could switch to the other one that puffs up huge if he felt uncomfortable but then he replied "no it is fine, this one is straight, it'll be fine" and then proceed to ask me AGAIN multiple times if I was sure. So I was super nervous that he was gonna miss or that it was going to go wrong and I have never worried about that before because I have great veins! It's just not worth it anymore to be freaked out and spend 3 hours of my day waiting. Sometimes time is more valuable than money. I would have recommended this place 6 months ago but they need to either schedule less people or hire more staff if they are going to sustainably continue on. Even the staff has said they feel super overwhelmed. Overall though, it's still better and safer than some other places I have tried (*cough cough* octapharma). They really do want everyone to be comfortable and safe. Their machines are super good and don't get "clogged with fat" like other places machines. They are also very clean which I appreciate. If they figure out how to bring wait times back down, I'd give 5 stars. read more

Just finished my initial donor visit - every nurse - there were 5 different ones - I interacted was great - very genuine and professional and sweet. I even had fun laughing with the nurse doing my physical as she was checking my tattoos and whatnot. Sure it took a few hours but I already knew it would be a longer appointment since it was my first time. With their app I set up my next appointment easily and was compensated quickly and easily. Not didn't know what they were doing mess up both arms and could not return my blood and this was the second time I have to be on Dr. Because both arms were messed up and I more then four of the technician that did this kind of work over there at BioLife so as for me I would not go back to BioLife and will tell anyone I know that BioLife might hurt you in that process because I have been messed up twice at BioLife. They offer a generous sign up program- up to 8 weeks of compensated allowance. The con of it is you must be consistent or lose it. You will one way or another. For the rest of the year they offer a measly allowance for those desperately in need. When donating plasma they extract the proteins from your blood. Proteins are highly expensive to consume just for them to extract. Not to mention the track marks you are left with and the hematoma bruises . They need to quit acting like we need extra money for vacations or to make a dent in our credit cards because it doesn't. The measly compensation barely pays for your replacement meal and gas to get there. The physical scars or another thing so biolife quit your fake raffles as well. Focus on the help were doing to help lives. You and your staff should be equally committed.​ read more

I soon as I walked in their I expected a welcoming feeling nothing of that sort. I was helped by a women with a mask on a doctors coat rushing me like I was cattle asking me if I am new or returning. I said new. She said do you have ID and SS. I said I had my ID and SS on my phone. Lady told me they can't use that and that I would have to sign waiver for a 3rd party. She then asked me if I had, had a full meal within the last 2 hours. I told her I did not and she asked me if I would like to reschedule I told her no. She said that I could reschedule on the app. I don't know about you but If I'm about to be poked and probed and asked personal questions I would like to speak someone before I start signing anything. I was hesitant to go. Something about selling a part of me for cash just doesn't sit right. I guess it was a blessing in disguised. I won't be going back. read more

This center seems to be understaffed as there is always a line when there are plenty of open beds - also i've noticed multiple instances where there is a long line and instead of helping patients the staff begins pre-closing. I totally get wanting to close as early as possible but the people in line are going to have to be helped anyway, might as well get them in and out instead of making them wait longer. read more

The worst location I waited 5 hours on my first time I only gave a sample then I come back again for my first donation they made me give another sample fine. On my second donation it went smoothly and fast but on my third donation I was not allowed to donate because "they are waiting on my test results from my sample". I asked how can that be I've donated already and you're stopping me on my second donation it made no sense. My last donation was on the 10/14 I've called to check in on my test results and still nothing! The manager won't even give me an estimate on the time it takes to get results back. I am so upset I gave two samples I'm pretty sure they lost my sample it's 10/24 and still not eligible to donate because they're "waiting on my sample test results". Due to misinformation from the receptionists and manager I was deferred from the program. It is clear that the staff at biolife is incompetent. Mind you this was my first time donating with BioLife. Two times I was told to schedule an appointment even though I was at risk of being deferred. I assure you if I was not told to schedule the appoint both times by these so called "professionals" I would have not made an appointment. If I had the proper information I would have been able to follow the policies and procedures accordingly. However, I fully trusted the staff at BioLife when they told me to reschedule. One staff member told me "as long as the system lets you reschedule you should be fine" even though upon doing so I was flagged for "trying to donate more than I was allowed to" I was then turned away and told by A MANAGER that I am cleared to come in on the weekend for the next donation. Now I am being told I was deferred from the program all together! If you are donating for the first time with BioLife and do not understand the policies and procedures do not rely of the staff at this location to guide you. They are ALL incompetent. read more

When I began I thought this was a great place . Well let me tell as you get started they count on u not to make all your donations in 30days . They advertise 8 donations in 30days for 900 this month . well u have 30 days to complete donations to from your first donations . With the holidays it's tough to do . You are only allowed two donations a week . And they are closed Sunday and Monday unlike other donation centers who pay more . They very un organized. I waited the last donation to have someone start me up and it took over 25 mins on sitting in a chair for some to come start my donation. Allow 2 hours each time you . They take more than the 880ml if your over 190 pounds. They poke your arm with the end of swab to plump your vein. And if they poke you wrong and take blood from one arm they stop the donation don't return your red blood cell to your other arm and defer you for 60 days. read more

I'm giving two stars instead of one because Loraine has always made my experience good with her. Everyone else- not so much. Lorraine seems to be the only experienced person there, she's the one constantly have to fix the needle when something happens. The first time I went my girlfriend and I were referred by one of her friends for a promotion they had going on, he went to the corona location and if I knew how bad this one was I would've gone there too. When we got there everyone was very friendly with helping us out. Then we went to go sit and wait for a nurse and I went to go find the bathroom and one of the technicians Renee asked If I had been helped already and I told her yes that we were just waiting. She very rudely says Did you even finish everything? And I was like Um yes the lady at the front checked us in and told us to have a seat and wait for the nurse. Renee says Did you do your questionnaire? I shook my head no and then she says "So you didn't finish everything then!" And I'm irritated at this point and just tell her I was told to wait again and she walked away. A good majority technicians all seem extremely new and it's very possible that's it all their first jobs in this industry, which normally isn't a problem but when the whole facility seems like new people it is. Our second time going it was extremely slow, their app says to expect to be there for up to two hours and we were there for almost four. Our third time going, the wait was insane again and the tech who stuck me and my gf did it wrong. My girlfriend ended up getting a hematoma and the tech admitted it was because she inputted it wrong. My arm was in so much pain after that appointment that it hurt to move or lift for a few days. We were really on the fence with continuing to come but I decided to give it one more shot today. I was given the center supervisor as my tech and when I tell you the insertion of the needle was the most painful one I have ever felt I mean it. She put it in wrong as well and had to almost completely take out the needle and reposition it. All the techs place the needle in extremely fast that I don't think they are paying enough attention . I believe the center supervisor is the equivalent of a general manager so if that's the case this location seriously needs some revamping on management and training so these employees can get do their job properly. Edit: I forgot to add in, when you're filling out your questionnaire it lists things to beware of and if it occurs to tell your tech. One of the things on there is tingling in lips and/or fingertips this happened to me and when I told the tech she said oh that's normal and walked away.... If it's normal then why do I have to filled out a questionnaire that says to beware of side effects like that. read more

This place is a complete disaster. Very understaffed. You can make appointments but it dosen't matter because it seems like everyone has the same appointment time. I just waited in line for over an hour just so they can tell me that my blood pressure was to high and I wouldn't be able to donate today. It's probably high because I'm so pissed off that I made an appointment and still had to wait over an hour!
