I've been coming to bionic burger for more than two decades and it is one of my favorite places to get a burger. They source their hamburger meat from a quality beef supplier whom I have friends that work there and know that it's top-notch beef. They always give way too many fries and for some reason I still manage to always forget this and can never finish them. I do highly recommend that if you want to keep your portion sizes modest that you share fries with a friend, haha. read more

THE GENERAL MANAGER THREW THE CHANGE DIRECTLY IN MY FACE. I came through the drive thru and ordered a bacon cheese burger. I got my order and the meat didn't taste right the bun was not toasted and the burger was dry. The fries I ordered was cold too. I asked for it to be remade the GM refused to remake it and said she was just give me a refund. I never asked for a refund I just asked for it to be remade is what I told her. She threw the change directly in my face. The staff is terrible rude and very unprofessional! General managers are supposed to resolve conflict not create more, she needs to be fired immediately. I tried ordering 3 times in the drive thru and the young lady couldn't read my order back to me correctly all 3 times. I finally got frustrated cause I was on my lunch hour and it was almost up. So I said I would have to go somewhere else. While driving around the building and by the drive thru the lady leans out the window to tell me I need anger management classes. I proceeded to call and ask for the owner to contact me. That never happened. Bionic Buger had been around a long time and so have I and I have supported this local business for as long as I can remember. giving 2 stars because fries and rings were good. drive thru on 9/22/22. burgers had to have been Jr's. but paid for bigger ones. so thin you could read through them. called and they said they would replace them. decided on that fir lunch today. said they had no record of it only thing on books with same name had already been used. think I would remember doing that. my opinion is that they just didn't want to replace what they screwed up. that's ok. can spend my money elsewhere. not good enough to be upset missing out on their food. plenty of good burgers in town. tj's is definitely worth a little more of a drive. read more

We found this place to be a wonderful little burger joint! The burgers were delicious and it offers both dine-in and drive-through. Instead of a happy meal box, kids' meals come in a cool cardboard car that my kids loved! A great place for burgers if you're looking for a change from the standard big chain places. read more

If you bionic size your fries, you better bring a friend...I've never seen one person finish them. We frequent the Bionic Burger on S Meridian cause it's the closest drive-thru to our house. Went here for lunch and ate inside (have before several years ago). Really good burgers and mountains of fries. Since I don't eat gluten/dairy, I get the philly w/o cheese and eat the meat and stuff out of the bun. So, since my diet is so limited I cannot say I've really tried much of the menu...although I would love to! Service at both locations is always fast and friendly and prices are reasonable. My only complaint is that what they call "mayo" is actually salad/dressing or Miracle Whip, so I avoid it like the plague. I love mayo on a burger, but not here :) read more

Sorry, Wichita. I don't get it. Weird tasting burger, I don't know what they did to it. Boiled it? Cooked it, froze it, then microwaved it? Tasted like a burger I had in Scotland that was so bad I left the meat behind and ate the bun. I'd rather have a Big Mac, and I don't like those either. Nice people and I like the ambiance, but this is an outpost of some branch of hamburger culture with which I am unfamiliar, and don't wish to become more familiar. Ok, I saw what they do here. I watched a guy take about a dozen burgers off the flat top and put them into some kind of warming box. I don't call that fresh. Gonna go to Freddy's to get the taste out of my mouth. 0/10, would not return. Update: seven hours later and I should have trusted my gut and spit out the first bite. Bionic burger is not lacking in charm or service. However, the burgers weren't the best and the fries tend to be greasy and soggy. My burger was reminiscent of sonic. I would have chose a sonic burger over this though. The buns were the same except Sonic's are toasted. I got the Mushroom Swiss burger which is really self explanatory bun, patty, mushrooms, Swiss cheese, and onions. It was lacking something it needs a sauce or the cheese to be thinned and seasoned with something because the burger as a whole was dry. The fries had some spice to them which was good but they weren't done all the way (in my opinion) at least. I would have preferred them to have some crunch to them to given them some texture. So next time I will ask for crispy fries and try a burger that has some sauce. Over all it was a fun place that probably has some great menu items I just didn't find them the first go around. read more

My wife is from this area and talked about the food here.. As we were in town visting we visited Bionic and the food was really yummie. The Philly Cheesesteak was awesome! I will admit, maybe this wasn't the best place for a vegetarian, but many burger joints these days at least carry a veggie burger. Since I had no such luck here, I ordered the grilled cheese. If you don't like American cheese (like me), don't make my mistake and ask for cheddar. They use liquid cheese used on nachos or fries, which doesn't stay between bread very well. I didn't hold that against them because like I said, it was my mistake. The fries were absolutely delicious, and the order was so big I couldn't finish them all. Other posts are accurate in describing the grease film coating everything. I didn't have the best service. The young blonde lady with neck tattoos was quite unfriendly, but on the other hand, not the worst service I have received in Wichita. That honor goes to Ann at Lotus Leaf Cafe. Bottom line: delicious fries, but I probably won't be back because it isn't the best fit for me. Two stars for the fries, one for the value, and none for the service. read more

We ordered online for curbside pick up. The confirmation said it would be ready in 26 minutes. We pulled up and parked right on time. It specifically said that it was a "curbside" order and someone would bring it out to our vehicle. We put in our vehicle make and model, tapped "I'm here" and waited.. and waited.. and waited. Finally, we tried to go in and the doors were locked. This is 7:30 on Friday night Nov 5. We finally had to pull through the drive through. She said nothing about it. We waited through several cars in line then when we pulled up to the window she thought we were a different order. Driving home so, all I've had is a couple fries. So far they are old and stale. We ordered online last week and had our food delivered. Was really disappointed with the burger and fries we got this time. We ordered two single cheese combos and one of them had what appeared to be the jr. kid patty on it. I took pictures of it because I couldn't believe they put this on such a huge bun. Best fast food burger in a city with a lot of average burgers; a city where Braum's, Spangle's, or NuWay are the likely favorites. Went through the drive-thru and asked what the "Six Million Dollar Burger" was. It was explained to me by their drive-thru attendant very kindly (its their 3/4 lb. burger). I ordered the double SMDB meal and I "Bionic sized" it. The burger was very big but it was very greasy. In fact, it was so greasy that the bottom part of the bun was drenched and appeared as if it had been run through the sink. It looked pretty sub-par, but I was just pig enough to eat it anyway. Burger was very good apart from that; though I felt like I needed to run a half marathon after eating. The fries were fresh cut and likely the hottest fries (temp not spice) I've ever been served. Very greasy as well; almost too greasy. The were very good despite this, however they don't seem like they were cooked all the way. A bit slimy sometimes. But, again, I was pig enough to eat them all anyway. I noticed there is a food challenge they advertise. If you eat the triple SMDB and a large fries you get a shirt and a place on their wall of fame. However, you still have to pay for the meal. Which, if Im honest, this means you pay them to allow them to use you as advertising. The only food challenges worth doing are the ones that prove their legitimacy by offering the meal for free. I would love to dominate their challenge but its an advertising ploy and not a true food challenge based upon the fact they won't offer the meal for free. Mercuh! read more

Burgers and fries are tasty, but this is not somewhere you want to go if order accuracy is your cup of tea. Great place to go if you're not in a hurry. On the upside, even if they goof up your order, it's still liable to taste good. When I went, the person at the counter moved at a pace best described as "glacial", spoke in a voice that was barely audible, and didn't really seem to know what was on the various burgers (and the menu doesn't tell you either). The cash register seemed to have her completely flummoxed, and despite having a fancy POS order entry system, they still had to call the orders to the kitchen (which is probably why your odds of them getting your order right are slim at best.) Location-wise, this place could really benefit from a deep cleaning. The floors seem to be permanently sticky, there's a light coating of grease on just about everything else. read more

Drove from the east side of Wichita to eat at this place. Arrived at 8:05 pm after checking there hours online and pulled up to the drive thru and lady tells us there closed. I simply stated that your hours online and on your drive thru which I'm staring at say you close at 10. She pops of and tells us there closing because there short staffed. Staff was friendly and really helpful and the food was great. I have been here a couple times now and will be coming back soon I am extremely satisfied with everything about this restaurant. I like their burgers for the most part being that finding a good burger or good food in general in Wichita is getting harder to find by the minute. I agree with the review that said their fries are greesy and don't seem done, but the reason I really gave them only two stars is because of my last visit where I sat outside the drive thru window waiting for my burger when I saw the man cooking my burger and still wearing his rubber gloves start cleaning up with cleaner and touching cash from the register to the office before going back to the prep of my food without changing, removing or washing his hands.
