I had met Dr Conn at an expo. After seeing the yelp reviews, I decided to give it a shot and made an appointment for a back alignment. I arrived early to fill out the forms, etc. I was then sat in an office for nearly 30 minutes. During that time, the receptionist came in to say that regular patients had all come in for treatments (not sure why that meant my own appointment got pushed back). I asked if this was some sort of orientation or something and if I was actually going to get a back alignment. She said yeah. So the doctor eventually comes in and we go through x-rays and back check and discussion. He closes up with "Alright well I want to spend more time with your x-rays" (Which we JUST had a discussion about) and then sent me to the receptionist to make another appointment. So she billed me 40 dollars for the visit for the treatment and then tried to get me to make another appointment. 40 dollars for what? To be told my back isn't aligned? I knew that already! I've never had professional chiropractic adjustments before. I was 5 months pregnant when I decided to started doing weekly adjustment with Dr. Conn. Having gone for 2 months, I'm so glad I did because as I progressed through pregnancy (7months now) stiffness can become a problem due to the limited range of movement and increasing weight gain. From the first initial visit, you get a comprehensive assessment with a set of Xrays and a test for muscle tension along your spine. I get pretty bad migraines and after an adjustment I feel instant relief in my head and neck. I also have chronic back pain where my nerves get pinched to the point where it hurts to sleep and walk. Dr.Conn was able to find an adjustment in my rib cage that helps me feel less pain in my upper back which allows me to sleep more comfortably. I remember my first adjustment, after years of not seeing a chiropractor how badly my neck and back pain were, the first neck adjustment I could feel a instant rush into my head alleviating the pressure in the back of my head where my migraines would stem from. After a year of adjustments I do feel relatively better, though chronic pain is not going to go away miraculously it does help to get adjusted every week to aid the tension I feel in my muscles, which get pulled from misalignment due to heavy exercise, bad posture, and poor sleep habits. When I went back for my results he tried to get me to commit to a 3x a week, 12-month program for thousands of dollars. Great chiropractor, Dr. Conn was very thorough in explaining to me what has been causing the lower back pain I had been feeling for 5 years with X-rays and how it is affecting my spinal health. I went to see Dr. Conn after throwing out my back at the gym and was feeling the worst lower back pain of my entire life. They scheduled me to come in the next day after I called them (squeezed me into his busy schedule, very accommodating) and I immediately felt relief after the first adjustment and was able to move around without as much pain. Oh, how I wish I found this office sooner... I moved from Massachusetts under a year ago, and had excellent experiences with two chiropractors back home. I have a history of upper back/neck trouble, which started to act up again so I immediately went to a chiropractor, not even thinking that it could possibly make my condition worse. After two weeks, I was in much more pain and couldn't even move my head. After that, I switched offices. My next office succeeded in keeping me in pain for about three months, and sold me a bunch of expensive 'tools' and massage that did not work either. After three months of zero progress, I decided it was seriously time for a change. Dr. Bart Conn is excellent. He knows exactly what adjustments to make, completes them EFFECTIVELY, and even works on trigger point therapy the correct way. He works quickly and methodically, and was able to successfully get me out of pain in about a week and a half.
