One of the worst golf website I have ever experienced. Basic information like missing: What are the green fees? Is a cart included? What does a cart cost if not included? Is there a Senior rate? Is there a Twilight rate? If there is a twilight rate what time does it start. My friend is a BREA REWARDS member. He tried to make tee times last week and the person on the telephone kept referring to a past membership program and would not let him book the tee times. read more

Well, for $22 walking you can't beat it! Staff is friendly, marshal got the group ahead of us to move a bit quicker and we finished 18 holes in about 3-1/4 hours. New cart paths are a welcome addition. Greens are pretty chewed up, there are muddy spots on the fairways, and the tee boxes have bare spots. Grounds staff was working on the bunker and sand was actually pretty soft. Very small lip on the bunkers and it is possible to putt out of some of them. Restrooms are clean. Haven't tried the snack bar. Maybe next time. read more

Pretty nice course to golf. 18 holes. Nice Water body present at the end of the course. The first 9 holes are closer to Birch St so they are louder than the last 9. Prices are medium aka not too bad. Never crowded. Filled with nature however I don't like how they built houses near some holes. read more

Absolutely love this course! I actually drive 30 miles round trip to play it. Staff and course atmosphere is extremely comfortable with all level of golfers playing here. That said there are a few issues that need to be listed for those reading reviews for the purpose of knowing what to expect. As of this review, 70% of bunkers are unplayable do to zero to little sand. Fairways have some areas of dry hard pan and others that are over watered. Area around many greens (fringe) needs maintenance, dry grass and dirt areas, many under repair. Greens - turf health is actually good, however ball marks, divots are probably the worst I've seen on any golf course. I can't blame the course as its seem to be a phenomenon here and I know they're trying to address it. How do you have that many players with the skill to "hit the green" with the force and accuracy to make a ball mark and not have the simplest golf etiquette to repair the divot? Crazy thing is it seems to be getting worse! read more

I have played this course 3 times, and have witnessed 2 hole-in-ones! One on the 1st hole! Love the course as it is right up the street from my house. It's an executive course with a little punch, you will have the option to pull out a driver or 3 wood a couple times. Water comes into play on a couple holes on the back 9. Course is still brand new and still a work in progress. Pro shop is in a trailer. But the staff has always been cool and they have some pretty solid deals. I have walked twice and rode once. The walk is not hard at all. This course is a nice break from playing a big course like coyote hills down the street. Have recommended and played with friends, and will continue to do so. read more

Here we go again! Chapman club member for several months now. Birch can't find me in the computer. Brea finds me every Saturday morning. At least here the guy gave me the club price, but, I don't get the points. The Chapman club is a great idea but the execution has been terrible. I suggest waiting until all of the bugs are worked out before joining. read more

Nice executive par 59 course. Played dec 2020. Course in good condition fairway still fairly green but had some brown winter spots. Tee box good greens great! Slow at a few par 3 on Sunday with 1pm tee but no biggie. Fun rounds friendly starter and staff. read more

I love this little course. Great place to enjoy golf with the wife and family. Good and helpful staff. If we could just get the lazy a$$ golfers to act appropriately using normal golf course manners. Fix your ball marks on the greens, rake the sand traps after hitting your shot. The only thing wrong with this course is the players that don't treat the course and the game with respect. read more

Played late Sunday morning. Very warm day out. Starter/ Marshall (Jay), drove around the course offering free bottled water to golfers. What a great way to go the extra mile for their customers. Little things like this, show they appreciate their customers. I just recently started golfing at Birch Hills, again. I will definitely be coming back here for more play time. Last couple times I played here, their starters were very organized!!! read more

Great course if you like waiting on every tee and if you like terrible greens. We went out yesterday only because it was a last minute option after work and we were stuck behind 3 terrible younger golfers on the first hole. Then it got worse on the 2nd since their 4th person was late, he decided to run to the 2nd tee with, that's right, a baby stroller as a pull cart. What the f@#$! This course allows strollers as pull carts? These 4 assholes duffed multiple balls on every hole and took my drive on the 18th. These are the types of golfers you will find on this course. Idiots with no etiquette and possibly some dumbass with a stroller. Save your money. It's like playing golf here.. but not really. Each hole on the course presented it's own set of challenges for me. Some were easy while some were challenging. Because of that, I can honestly say that I love each one since it presents more opportunities to improve my game. read more

The customer service here is terrifying. If the servers decide they don't like you, they'll simply ignore you when you try to order food. After an hour and a half of ordering our chicken fingers and burger, since the food was clearly not ready, we asked for a refund. When asked, we were ignored/unacknowledged and later met by "here is your money and my managers number". It's clear managers don't care about having rude staff members. read more

My husband and son went twice to enjoy a day at the golf course this week. They were so happy to finally get outside and do something together. Their first experience this week was pretty bad as the front desk attendant was extremely rude and impatient. They also had a horrible experience with the tee time group in front of them stealing their golf balls (they had hit) and leaving their beer cans along the way. Being it was their first time out in months, my husband and son decided not to lower themselves to the level of the immature bullies in front of them and made the best of the day. On my son's second visit to the golf course this week the same front desk attendant was working and again he was very rude and impatient. Our family is grateful for the golf course opening up and we understand these are stressful times, but the staff really should try to do their best to make the patrons feel welcomed and give them their best service. read more

This is a great little course to play. Well maintained with friendly staff. Course was in good shape with very little bad spots, bunkers in good shape and the greens were perfect. Finishing up at the 19th hole, can't say enough about their burgers. Best burger I've had in a long time. I highly recommend this course. read more
