If you want anything you have to ask for it. It also took about 45 minutes to get our food. I really wish the corporate office of Island Wings would shut it down and reopen with new management and new staff. This place has everything to make a fantastic local hang out except friendly staff ! Hopefully the owners will pay attention and try to get better staff in the restaurant, however it will be a long time before we try again.

We stumbled upon Bird Dog Chicken and it turned out to be a great find. The restaurant is locally owned, with friendly staff and a steady stream of locals coming in for both dine-in and takeout. We ordered three of the Four Piece Chicken Tender boxes. Two were rolled in their Louisiana Hot and one in the classic Hot Buffalo sauce. The traditional Buffalo was the clear winner for us -- the Louisiana Hot had a bit too much of the 'Louisiana' seasoning for our taste. That said, both sauces were excellent: hot enough to satisfy without being painful, and packed with great flavor. Included Ranch sauce was great too. The chicken tenders themselves were nicely sized (noticeably bigger than Raising Cane's) and came with a generous portion of lightly seasoned fries. Everything was fresh and crispy. Location-wise, it's super convenient -- easy to hop back on the road or head straight to the beach afterward. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Orange Beach! Highly recommend.

We got boneless wings and fries, Buffalo hot and stingin' honey garlic. The Buffalo had a unique dry rub in addition to the typical sauce. Both sauces were great. The fries also had a great seasoning - kinda tasted like New Orleans Cajun potato chips. Staff was welcoming and hustling, the manager or owner still had her Army uniform on (stopped in to check on things during a drill weekend?). She was clearly making things move. There was signage saying their wings were smaller than normal so they were charging cheaper prices...that seemed to apply to our boneless wings too. We got 20 wings (they gave us more in the box), a large fry (enough for 2), and a 12oz can of Sprite for $20. Great deal. I thought our boneless wings were actually larger than expected, and the regular wings looked maybe on the small side of normal. Their "regular sized" wings must be BIG. They are getting 5 stars, food and service were great, and a locally owned family restaurant....
