Three children Jumbo Fried Chicken Tenders (3 pcs)

$12.14 chicken tenders with visibly burnt breading. Unseasoned, bland, yet tender chicken. 2oz of honey mustard sauce tasted typical but nowhere near enough to cover the taste of the burnt breading. Disappointing. Had potential to be good but fell solidly short. To be fair, the piece on the left was double the size of what is presented in the photo.

Rarely am I compelled to write a review on Yelp unless the place exceeds expectations or falls short. This location is in the latter category. Ordered on DoorDash a deluxe chicken sandwich with waffle fries and a side of ranch. Besides screwing up the order (received a normal sandwich with no coleslaw) the amount of chicken in the sandwich is for lack of a better term, pathetic. The chicken was dry and virtually non existent. The sandwich comprised of entirely burnt batter with very little chicken inside. I'm not sure if they could legally call this a chicken sandwich. The side of ranch (which they charge $1.50 for; I know, DoorDash overcharges) was enough to consume with one waffle fry. I appreciate Bird-N-Bun looking out for my calorie intake but I would have appreciated a full container of ranch, especially when I'm paying for it. In hindsight the small portion was a blessing in disguise as the ranch was rather bland. The waffle fries were the only decent thing on this order. I have no complaints there. Overall a very poor experience.

If you order from these guys through Uber eats and it goes to the location at 615 North Western, a cloud kitchen, you can forget about getting your order in a reasonable time. I was told that the delays are up to 45 minutes. I don't know about other locations, but if your order ends up at this location, forget it!

That was nasty. Looked for hot chicken within 5 min of house; next time, we'll drive. Checked out this place that seemed sketchy on Goigle/Yelp, yet people had reviewed it. It has two names; one on Google, another on Yelp. I like my Baby's initial response, "On Daisy? It can't be good." But he trusts me and my unique talent to search out deliciousness. I tried to warm him that's not what I was feeling this time, so much as laziness. So, we drive up to an innovative warehouse space. Food pick-up drivers are grabbing dishes from food lockers. Meanwhile, walk-ups (us) order from a kiosk. Kiosk has about 20 restaurants and their menus within. 5 stars for innovation. After this, it goes downhill. Place has a few tables and chairs for eating, but area seems sketchy for evening dining. Service is engaging, so plus there. I saw operation...Commercial refrigerator; each restaurant seems to have a door. So...fresh frozen heated up, maybe? Well, our sandwiches were 1) greasy, 2) missing slaw on one, 3) bread, 4) same heat, even though we ordered differently. Fries were good.

Please aware that your pick up or delivery orders are cooked inside this closed warehouse under unknown food quality control. This warehouse does not have sign of food rating. Furthermore, what you receive is different from what you see on Bird N Bun website. You are buying a food prepared by Uber and DoorDash workers at their kitchen. It is very disappointing. This yelp rating is misleading.

Bird-N-Bun is a go-to and I absolutely love the sandwiches. The chicken is fried perfectly and juicy, whether you order original, spicy or deluxe. The loaded fries are very good, but the fries themselves are kind of whatever in terms of flavor but with everything else going on they kind of get away with it. Would be awesome if they loaded the original and spicy sandwiches with coleslaw like most other fried chicken sandwich places, so 4 stars for poor fry quality and having to pay extra for something that comes standard most other fried chicken places. Delivery is always fast, which is awesome when your hungry in a pinch. It's a ghost kitchen so there's not much in terms of ambiance, but the service is usually good if you go to pickup.

Placed my order online and away i go! This chicken joint is located at the daily diner long beach on daisy. I love trying the different places here which has over 30+ vendors which is amazing with more to come. Pretty good chicken here. Got the SPICY tenders and let me remind you it's spicy as hell. Next time the original only! The tender were good though and the waffle fries was seasoned well also. And the spicy bird sauce was excellent. Soda only were like $3.00 for a can which is pretty high for a location like this. I would come back again.

A TRUE happy accident. On our way back to Orange County I was looking up just any type of fast food type of spots. The very first place with great reviews were Bird - n - bun. When we pulled up I have to admit it was a little confusing. I didn't quite understand what they were going for. But I assume because of covid they changed up their whole set up. We were able to order on iPad for a handful of spots and wait for our order to be placed in a locker for pick up, for essentially contactless pickUp. I landed on Bird-n-Bun, I saw that they had amazing looking chicken sandwiches, fries and sides. My eyes immediately landed on the vegetarian bird. A vegetarian twist on their classic chicken sandwich. So I thought to my self, challenge accepted. When I tell you, the taste, the presentation, the consistency, the flavors down the very last crumb were amazing. I didn't miss the chicken aspect of this chicken sandwich and I for sure wasn't lacking any type of spice or flavor. Be sure to add the fries, they are hot and seasoned well!

With COVID / social distancing concerns being the new normal it was interesting to come across this restaurant with that business plan already set to go. But would this place with the absence of server-to-customer relationship still provide the experience and flavors to warrant a return? The answer is yes! At first I wondered why is the price so expensive as I pressed my own buttons to own order and pick up my own bag of food from a very impersonal locker. But their cha-ching is in the super juicy and crunchy piece of chicken with a flavor sauce worth the price. It's definitely worth getting the spicy bird as it's not "spicy"...

I like how soft the buns are. The spicy chicken sandwich was pretty good with pepper jack cheese and the waffle fries were a bit stale. This neighborhood is a little sketch. The food packaging is basic. I would order from this place again. I do recommend to try it at least once.

Oh my God this is the 2nd time that I've been here in 2 days the food is amazing, the customer service is great my order from one of the other places was canceled and not only did they replace my order with some amazing food they did it with a smile on their face they have gained a customer for life. This place is absolutely amazing. I ordered the original bird and jumbo tenders and was so pleasantly surprised at the quality and flavor. Long beaches hidden kitchen that is phenomenal. I mean after making this my pandemic guilty pleasure for the last 2 years I couldn't recommend a better chicken joint! Now they have a vegan sandwich. It's also located near the Long Beach ports so it's a very odd and interesting drive. It feels like a speak easy. Anyway, I hope you try it and enjoy! read more

My wife and I had the biscuit bird, and aside from liking our biscuit cooked just slightly more (we like toasted bread darker too, so that's on us), this was the best chicken biscuit this Southern outcast has ever had. The coconut coleslaw went so well with the honey butter biscuit, and it was a perfect size. Well done Bird-n-Bun! read more

They are not too close to me so I may not go back here anytime soon but the food is marvelous and their system could not be more pandemic-friendly. You order online and pick your food up from a locker. This should be the future of fast food. I came into contact with one person who makes sure you know what your doing and that you don't take anybody else's food I presume. I won't go to that other chicken sandwich place because of their horrible anti-inclusive political leanings. I'm not gay but I don't give my money to hate, ever! I've never even tried it so I can't compare. I did try another popular chicken sandwich place as an alternative to the hateful one. You probably know it. They promoted themselves as an alternative on Twitter and elsewhere and kind of became famous for that. Anyway, I like Bird-N-Bun better. Scrumptious, juicy white-meat fried chicken. Very satisfying. They also have a plant-based sandwich which I didn't have but I really like that they have that. I will try that next time. I am trying to wean myself off meat. Only eat meat once a week now. And they are a one-off local business, not a chain. It's important to support local businesses right now, don't you think? read more

Okay so basically I have a bird n bun addiction and it keeps saying "ONE SPICY BIRD PLEASE ASAP" because it is consistently the most delicious chicken sandwich I've ever had. I've ordered this no joke like 20 times over the last year and it is a freaking gift. Delicious and lightly toasted brioche bun and the best, moist, perfect crispy, spicy, pickles-laiden, just-enough spicy-bird-sauce chicken. This bird is a winner in my book. 11/10 read more

I ordered twice first time sandwhich was fine and well done like I asked .... Second time I order 2 sandwiches for me and my GF and one of the sandwiches were still raw meat ,,, the meat was pink on the thicker part of the Chicken patty I tossed the food out waste of money ... not to mention when I walk in to pick up my food I'm not even greeted by the guys back there on there phones , I'm told I need face mask or I can't be inside... the correct way is to put a note on your front door stating to have one otherwise u can't have service and OR greet your customer and then state that next time your here ( if I even plan on coming back) to bring a face mask ... first time I ordered delivery second time I actually went to pick up on my own ... The big, thick, juicy chicken breast is oversized for the bun. Two pickle slices and the spicy sauce is the way I go. They also have a plain version, one with waffles as buns or one with coleslaw on top. The coleslaw is version is my second choice and the plain is very good as well. The waffles have no flavor so I don't recommend them. The family has ordered three times from Bird-N-Bun. 1st time: Most amazing chicken sandwich I've ever had! 2nd time: Very good chicken sandwich 3rd time: Beat the first time as the most amazing chicken sandwich I've ever had! One sandwich will fill you up. Shouldn't need the waffle fries as they quite similar to Chick-fil-a's. Haven't tried any of the desserts. read more

I love this place. I order through Uber eats. It was fast and fresh. I got the spicy Bird and boyfriend got the original Bird. These sandwiches are big. And the favor is perfect. I ha e since order from this place 2more times and the quality is the same as the first time. Will recommend to everyone one I know. Hopefully when things get better I can go to the restaurant in person and sit and enjoy. read more

Agree with my friend, Ozzie R. The sandwich was legit. Good fried chicken sandwich... definitely a notch above Popeye's, but for the prices they charge, they better damned well be. The waffle fries were decent as well. They had more crunch than the ones at Chic-fil-a, and the seasoning kicked it up another notch. I can't give it 5 stars cuz at 3x the price of Popeye's, we should expect 3x the taste/quality, and it just isn't. Oh, and like my buddy, Ozzie says, $2.50/ea. for canned soda is plain stupid. If I had to pay that price for a goddam can of Diet Coke, I'd have knocked off 2 stars (fortunately for them, I had drinks at home). Recommended, but buy your drinks elsewhere. read more

Yummmm!!!! I've been on the whole Nashville hot chicken craze for a while now, so I was somewhat hesitant to try this place bc it's not the standard hot chicken. But I am glad I did!! It was super flavorful and delicious. I obviously got the spicy chicken sandwich, but for non spicy eaters, I'd assume the reg sandwich is pretty good too bc the chicken is cooked really well and just well seasoned and everything. Man. Their chicken is to die for. It's. a chicken joint I've never been to the location but I've eaten here a couple times. I usually get the sammich and order my kids the chicken tenders. I love chicken sandwiches and I have eaten plenty in my life. Their chicken sandwich was hot and fresh the only problem was that it was very dry they are very stingy on the sauce.I got the original and spicy sandwiches. FINALLY a place that says that they're spicy, and they're actually spicy!! We went to cane's and didn't know it was closed because of Fourth of July so we searched for a hot chicken place nearby. Bird-N-Bun was the only place open around 8 and were more than satisfied. Get the Spicy Bird, waffle fries (which reminds us of Popeyes fries) and extra spicy sauce! read more

I was visiting my sister in LB and she mentioned a new fried chicken spot that had opened up. I had no idea it would be this interesting new concept of a "ghost" kitchen they called it. We pulled up thinking it would be like any other restaurant but it was kind of like a cool hipster warehouse. It's mainly for delivery drivers to pick up, but we didn't know that at the time. We tried their tenders and both original/spicy sandwiches because they were all a dollar for their launch day. It was so crazy and hectic there but they were a dollar so who can really complain. (Maybe the drivers trying to deliver the food). The breading was crispy and the chicken was so juicy and tender! I can't decided which I liked better. I'm big on sandwiches but their buns went so well with their crispy juicy chicken breast. I am salivating just thinking about it. I hope they crush it and open some up on the east coast! I had the spicy Bird sandwich and my son had the waffle Bird. They were both okay. The spicy sandwich chicken was tender with just a little a bit of kick. I prefer it to be spicer but the flavor was decent. They should add the level of spiciness as an option on the menu and perhaps a better deal on the combos.
