Ambiance: 10/10 so cute inside. Great lighting. Such a cute space. Service: 8/10 they were super kind and friendly Food: 7/10 the key lime pie was delicious, the scratch made whip cream, with orange zest was tasty and beautiful. The best part was the graham cracker crust. Absolutely delicious. 1/4 thick was perfect and the texture was awesome. The filling was good and perfectly acidic. I think it was a bit too sweet for my liking but nonetheless yummy

I purchased 5 personal sized pies: Raspberry Cream was FABULOUS! Chocolate was also great! Not too sweet. Strawberry Basil was really good but not enough filling in the small size. Trio Berry also had good flavor but again way too little filling and the crust was waaay too thick although very tasty. Key Lime didn't hold over to the next day very well. Flavor was just okay. The Strawberry Basil & Trio Berry would probably be much better in the full size version. Very friendly service too!

I love being able to pick through so many different flavors of individual pies. Savory & sweet! Always so yummy too.. :)

Still fantastic. I keep going back again and again. My favorite sweet pies are the eclair and chocolate caramel pecan (I love the flaky crust as a base), and my favorite savory is the roasted vegetable pot pie. Mama Bird is a true gem and her staff are very kind, too!

My family and I will typically come to this location for our sweet pastry pie needs. Generally, they're never lacking in business despite their unique business hours but manage to for the greater part of the time customer friendly. Usually, every time the taste and the flavor of the pies- here are spot-on! This time around the quad apple and dreamsicle pies were lacking in overall quality and flavor. Unfortunately, the inside of the freshly baked apple pie was raw and undercooked while the crust was overcooked. The dreamsicle tasted mostly cream cheese (maybe) and cinnamon. Not anything super exciting. The service itself was decent and the aesthetics of the building are super cute. I'd recommend as long as you can get them on a good pie day to jet over to grab some pies and set out in the backyard dining area.

Such a cute hidden gem in Post Falls! They also have another location in Hayden Lake. This location is small and doesn't offer much seating (a few bar height seats). I would say this is more of a pick-up/take out type of place. PARKING: Free in the lot it's located, however there's not many right in front (maybe 5ish spots max). There are more spots around the right corner! They offer 4 different sizes for their pies: ----Large: Huge pies that are not only your typical width, but are pretty high in height. ---Personal: Just bigger than a slice, more like a little bigger than a hockey puck. ------Quads: When you feel like sharing or can't pick just one personal pie flavor, they have a special to choose 4 personal sized pies. ---Bites: Sold only by the dozen. Literally a bite size taste of each pie. Great to sample a dozen flavors, but honestly they are too small for my own preference. (I need more than a couple of bites haha!) The staff was really helpful in terms of helping me navigate what to try. I also appreciate how they give out a card with reheat/storage instructions. Here's what I ended up getting: ---APPLE PIE ($4.95 for personal size): This was my favorite of the three I tried! It is full of locally sourced apples that are cut fresh, tossed in spices, and put into the crust within 24 hours. They don't come from bottled or canned apples, so the apples are not mushy or soft. Hands down would get this one again or a large size for gatherings! ---CHICKEN POT PIE ($6.75 for personal size): This savory favorite has chicken, potatoes, carrots, peas and leeks. This was good and tasted as I expected to. ---KEY LIME PIE ($4.95 for personal size): This is made with a gluten free, buttery vanilla cookie crust with our signature key lime filling. This was good, but it's tough to beat my all time favorite from Joe's Stone Crab. Next time, I'm going to try the Triple Berry! Can't wait!

Local gem alert! All six of us were wowed by the pies here. On the regular, they have one savory: chicken pot pie and four sweet: apple, chocolate cream, and key lime. Daily, they have one additional savory and two sweet. Quads are available for those who would like maximize their tasting experience. The quad price of $19.50 is for the sweet, but for a slight up-charge you can swap some savory ones in (savory are bigger). I was going to mix up the quad for just the two of us and then the bf said he wanted six total! Can you tell he likes pie? Anyway, great decision since we got to try the taco pie and chicken pot pie. Both has a fantastic flaky crust and were loaded with meat and veggies. Dessert pies were awesome too. Loved the raspberry lemon. If you like Reese's, get the peanut butter chocolate! The triple berry was very berry and wasn't seedy like some berry pies can be. The key lime was good too, but wasn't anything extraordinary like the others. The girls were very hospitable here! They also have a cute patio area in the back where we enjoyed our pies.

I don't go in often because when I do I can't help but get multiple and keep them all for myself ;) order ahead for gluten free options, high quality ingredients and cute atmosphere. Birdies is usually one of my recommendations for visitors in town. Yum!

Oh my pie! Everyone at work decided to support a local pie shop and try out some pies. In total I believe we had ordered like twenty different pies. I ordered the personal key lime pie, chicken pot pie, and two shepherds pie. My coworkers, ordered a variety of chicken pot pie, shepherds pie, coconut cream, pecan, raspberry and triple berry personal pies. I love that Birdies has an option to buy four personal pies, so anyone can try a variety. I had a bite of the coconut cream pie. YUM! Growing up I used to not like coconut flakes, it was something about the texture. But as an adult coconut has grown to be one of my favorites. My coworkers said the pecan, raspberry and triple berry were delicious. I brought my pies home for dinner. Warmed up the chicken pot pie and shepherds pie in the oven for about twenty minutes at 350 degrees. The aroma! My boyfriend and I had our pies with a bowl of homemade borscht. We loved the shepherds pie. It looked more like meatloaf with a dollop of herb seasoned mashed potatoes, it even had ketchup to top the meat mixture, underneath the potatoes. It was the best shepherds pie we have ever had. The ketchup complimented the pie with a hint of sweetness, I would have personally added carrots to the peas, but the peas alone were still good. The whole pie was perfectly seasoned, from the meat filling to the mashed potatoes. The chicken pot pie, the crust was buttery, flaky, soft. The perfect crust. I had high expectations for the pot pie, after hearing so many great compliments about it. I was a little bit disappointed. The filling was lacking some seasonings. It's almost like if it had just a little more salt and pepper, maybe some herbs, it would have been delicious. I did enjoy the crust, and that's why this review is only a 4 star. I am definitely going to have to try the pot pie again. Lastly, for desert. The key lime pie. Coconut flakes are added to the crust, which is a good texture to the crumbs. The key lime filling was very strong but not over powering. One of the best key lime pies. It was creamy, sweet and citrusy. Great way to end a delicious pie meal. Only regret, is not getting more pies in a larger size!

Ciccarelli's -- Coeur d'Alene…read more As someone who has traveled extensively -- including throughout Italy, one of my favorite places on earth -- I do not say this lightly: Ciccarelli's serves some of the finest pizza I have ever eaten. And I mean anywhere. Italy included. There is something almost impossible to describe about truly exceptional pizza. At a certain level, words begin to fail because great pizza is not analyzed... it's experienced. It's the kind of food that causes conversations to stop mid-sentence because everyone at the table suddenly realizes something special is happening. That's Ciccarelli's. I've lived in Coeur d'Alene barely three weeks and my wife and I have already been there three times. At this point, resistance appears futile. Every pizza we've tried has been a masterpiece. Not "really good." Not "our favorite in town." Masterpiece. The crust alone deserves poetry -- blistered, wood-fired perfection with that delicate balance of crispness, chew, char, and tenderness that only happens when people truly understand dough. Every ingredient tastes intentional. Nothing feels thrown together. Every bite -- from the tip of the slice to the outer crust -- is a full gastronomic experience. Favorites so far: THAT'S AMORE -- red sauce, pepperoni, Italian sausage, red onion, black olives & mozzarella. THE SPICY ITALIAN -- spicy red sauce, pesto, Italian sausage, red onions, fresh mozzarella, parmesan & basil. Ridiculously good. THE STELLA -- olive oil base, goat cheese, prosciutto, apricot preserves & honey drizzle. Sweet, savory, luxurious, and somehow perfectly balanced. And the Pizza Margherita... Listen carefully: A Margherita pizza is the ultimate truth serum for a pizza restaurant. You cannot hide behind toppings. It exposes everything -- crust, sauce, cheese, balance, restraint, technique. Ciccarelli's passes that test with flying colors. Their Margherita has become my weekly sustenance pizza. And then... The desserts. Good grief. Most restaurants treat dessert like an afterthought. Ciccarelli's treats it like a sacred continuation of the meal. I am slowly working my way through their dessert offerings, but I keep getting derailed by the BLACK BOTTOM COCONUT CREAM PIE. I have been eating coconut cream pie for over seventy years. Seventy. I have NEVER had anything like this pie. The rich saturation of flavor... the generous texture of real coconut... the black bottom... whatever culinary sorcery is occurring back there needs to be protected by national treaty. It is so good that you could honestly justify visiting Ciccarelli's solely for dessert. Also outstanding: * Piña Colada Cream Pie * Strawberry Shortcake Torte * Napoleon * Cannoli The restaurant itself is immaculate, intimate, warm, and beautifully designed. Seating is limited, however, and deservedly so. My advice? Get there early or go on a weekday if possible. They also offer lovely outdoor seating. And finally, the family behind it all. There is something unmistakable about a place built by people who genuinely love what they do, love each other, and love the experience they are creating for others. You can feel it the moment you walk in. That kind of thing cannot be faked. Ciccarelli's is not merely a restaurant. It's one of those rare places people discover and then quietly hope doesn't become too famous because they still want to get a table. An absolute gem in Coeur d'Alene.

So I've been back a few times now and , despite there being many drinks and combos to choose from, I keep ordering the Scotchy. I'm a big root beer person, but this root beer drink has butterscotch, vanilla and cream. It's so tasty. Thing is, the first few drinks are better because you can taste the butterscotch. But after that the butterscotch flavor goes away. It needs more butterscotch is my opinion. But the vanilla and cream flavors remain throughout. They also have really yummy cookies, which I do not order with the drink: too much sugar. But if you have a hankering for a cookie, they make an excellent big chocolate chip cookie; very worth while.
