    Chicken Pot Pie

Lively spot in the Franklin area. Seems like it could get busy before/after UCB shows. Fun but casual atmosphere. Onion ring tower was done well with 3 generous sauce sides. Good mozzerella sticks and cornbread. Pot pie was pretty good. Rotisserie chicken was also pretty good and came with solid sides. Tried it for dine LA which was a great deal off their regular menu. Would come back again

Birds is a classic. Wouldn't order the nachos again, but the sweet potato fries with Peruvian aji sauce were to die for

I have been wanting to go to this place Birds for like literally 2 decades. Well, I finally made it there yesterday. Better late than ever. Birds has been around for over 30 years. Since 1994. It truly is an interesting, cool, iconic, lovely, lively,, place with good vibes, food and ambiance. Also very CLEAN.My son and I got there around 5pm to have some dinner. We were greeted by their sweet, kind, humble host Scott that had a nice smile... and he walked us to our table immediately. Didn't take a minute before our server Gita D. approached us and took our order. I ordered their 1/2 all dark Rotisserie chicken with few of their sides on the side. Broccoli, Mac N Cheese, Cesar Salad, lavash and Corn Bread. My son got almost the same thing except 1/4 all Dark meat with one side. We shared the salad and the corn bread. Food was very tasty, except their Mac N Cheese. It was too watery, bland, lacking in seasoning, and it was not cooked right. Didn't agree with my palate. I have had better Mac N Cheese before in other restaurants. But the one I make is better than the rest. Moving forward to the service: Gita was nice, but her customer service was not all that. She only took our order and didn't see her again until it was time to pay. I mean she walked by our table at least like 7 times, and not even once checked up on us to see if we needed anything, or is everything ok? She was just there waiting for her shift to be over. It was very noticeable. She didn't even bring our food to our table. The host Scott did. Maybe they should switch positions?? Shout out to Scott for his hospitality. He needs a RAISE!!! They have a gorgeous looking Full BAR area with lots of tables and chairs for thirsty people who love and adore good quality alcohol/beverages of all kinds. Nice hallway, with clean bathrooms, and parking is another story. Good luck in finding parking. Cute patio with bright lights with full of nice people carrying conversation, eating, drinking and having a good time. I mean you only live once so.... 4 stars for the service and their parking. Will be back again to try other entrees & to have a drink. Will post pictures of BIRDS and US soon!!

Had a great experience here last night after seeing an improv show a couple of blocks away! I had here several times after seeing UCB shows but it's been a hot minute and it was just as lovely as I remembered! The vibe was fun on a Friday night and it was busy but not overwhelming crowded. The ambiance inside was quirky and upbeat. My friend and I joined a large group and they were able to accommodate extra seating for us. We sat outside which was perfect since the weather was so pleasant and we were able to people watch a bit. The service was very friendly and amicable. I wasn't hungry so I didn't order any food, but it was great to see some vegan options on the menu (although I do wish there were more!). I got a margarita which was delicious and had the perfect blend of mixer with tequila. It was just strong enough to feel a nice buzz and the rim was perfectly salted. Parking was a little tricky but I was able to find a spot on a side street not too far from the restaurant.

Was exactly what we needed as we awaited a UCB show. Beer and cider was great. Vibe was hittin and service was fab. Just as I remembered from when I used to live in L.A.

We always drive by this place and it's packed with people. Maybe it's the beer or maybe it's a sign food is good. The place itself is dark inside. Nice decor. Didn't particularly like a sign that they have on the wall that states something about loose women. Sure the sign comes off as funny, but might make some women upset. Especially now a days. Our server was good. He seemed swamped as he had all the tables and a Buser to assist. No one else was there helping. He still remained attentive which was amazing. That's a lot of pressure for one person to take on and give excellent service. We ordered fried pickles. They were some of the best I've ever had and their sauce was on point. Lots of dill. I had the French onion soup. Not a big fan. Too much bread in the soup. You can also taste allot of butter from them toasting the baguette before they put in the soup. The soup itself didn't exhibit much flavors. The mozzarella wasn't very good either. Not sure what brand they use, but it's definitely not of high quality. Also, this is one of the most expensive French onion soups I've had. For that being said...definitely not worth the price. My colleague and I both had burgers. Yes, I know we go to a chicken place to get beef. The buns were dry. Meat was cooked perfectly, but had no salt or any flavor. Just blasé. The Mac and cheese that came with my burger was exactly that. No effort, no wow factor, and no seasonings. Just pasta, cheese, and a sprinkle of bread crumbs on top. Box Mac & cheese is way better than this...lol. I tasted my colleges baked beans. They were good with allot of smoky flavor. Not sure if they were homemade. All and all I don't really know what the buzz is about either this place, because if you truly had people who had a good pallet this place probably wouldn't be open as long as it has been. Not a fan and would only recommend the fried pickles with maybe a beer or two.

Linden is on Sunset, so parking can be hard to come by. If you're lucky, you might find street parking, but most likely you'll need to valet unless you don't mind walking some distance. Moving on. The other has pineapple and was also very nice. Both drinks has a great blend of spirit and flavor. Food, we started with the Yellowtail Crudo and the Lobster & Crab Knuckle Sandwich. The crudo was excellent with a scotch bonnet ponzu sauce to dab in and scallion salad. Would definitely recommend. The Lobster & Crab Knuckle Sandwich was also one of the best lobster rolls I've had. So much lobster and crab, perfectly buttered, a great roll... so good! For entrees we did the NY strip and the Sweet Corn & Pea Agnolotti. The NY strip was cooked perfectly with the pomme puree and wilted spinach. Great bite with everything together. The Sweet Corn & Pea Agnolotti was also good with sweet corn-filled agnolotti and charred corn on top. The one thing that I felt was a little it of place was the truffle on the peas. It wasn't an overbearing amount but the truffle flavor really came through and, for me, just didn't bring it all together. It was still a good dish, but I felt the truffle did not need to be there. Might have been better with something else or just leaving it off all together. Overall, fabulous restaurant on Sunset serving a great menu with inspiration from around the world. Cocktails were amazing as was the food. Highly recommend!

My first glass of champagne was unfortunately flat and pretty gross but to their credit they replaced it immediately once I mentioned it. Still, for an upscale restaurant, that was a little annoying to begin with. For food, we got the asparagus, burger, fries, abalone, and the bluefin tuna belly deviled eggs. We had half of the entire roof for a great party with wonderful friends meeting new people, some DJing and dancing and a marvelous server who remembered not only my name from the prior Sunday, but also that I was gluten intolerant and brought me a menu I could select from while she was taking care of over 50 people. And as you can tell I am so shy and demure to boot. She was fantastic, and the food I ordered: GF Lemon Pasta and 1/2 dozen oysters while sharing the Brussels Sprouts, were all superb. The GF lemon pasta in a pesto sauce did not have any chance to avoid my boca and I left no penne unturned nor uneated. Who says you can't enjoy a place twice in one week and have a great experience both times. It's Déjà vu all over again.

Service was great - Our server Travis was really nice and checked in on us often. Food was delicious! The dishes looked simple but actually packed a lot of flavor. The Pearamount+ cocktail was so tasty. It had no alcoholic taste and was so smooth which made it dangerous. I should've gotten another one. I would totally come back and try other dishes next time.

A lot of this food is healthy. I would like to share feedback regarding my experiences at the NORMS Restaurant location…read more First, I want to recognize one of your servers, Ava. She consistently provides outstanding customer service and is a major reason I continue to return. Whether I'm ordering takeout or dining in, Ava is professional, attentive, and respectful. She represents your establishment in the best way possible and is truly an asset to your team. Unfortunately, my overall experience at this location has been inconsistent. There have been multiple occasions where other servers have made me feel overlooked or unwelcome, as if I was not being properly attended to. Additionally, I observed management interacting with customers in a way that came across as unprofessional and unpleasant, which was discouraging to witness. These experiences have, at times, left me feeling uncomfortable and concerned about how customers are treated. Without Ava present during certain visits, I believe the overall experience could easily become negative. While the food itself is acceptable, the atmosphere and level of service significantly impact the dining experience. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as there is clear potential for improvement in both customer service and management conduct. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
