I'm so glad to know that Birria babe has moved locations and finally in a permanent spot. It was so hard to catch in the food truck. It's always good to see the evolution of great places. Especially when they have genuine ownership behind the name. I hadn't been here in a while. But I just so happened to come across an IG post in relation to the different tacos being used, so I figured I needed to go check it out myself. Needless to say, I was NOT disappointed. By this time the shells had been changed, but everything was great. I ordered the trio which consists of chicken, beef, and lamb. I personally couldn't tell which was lamb or beef. Whatever you order here you wouldn't be displeased.

What a great idea to make birria ramen. Delicious broth, tender meat. If only real ramen noodles were used instead of cup noodles. Tacos were also pretty good, cucumbers and radishes go very well with grilled taco shells. They just need a little bit more cilantro, perhaps?

Finished my second visit to Birria Babe this weekend (finally trying the birria tacos). Must say, both visits on point. My other favorite place for birria tacos, if you can't find Nadine and crew, is Family Tacos on West Charlotte. This is a small food truck that packs big flavors. I, stupidly, forgot to get a picture of the taco trio (beef, lamb, and chicken), but I did find one of my ramen and a friend's taco from October 11th (both times at New Height Brewery). Food? Very nice flavors. Consume is nice. The small side of pickled veggies and lime top everything off nicely. Of the three, I liked the lamb the best and will opt for the lamb trio (extra $4) in the future. Ramen is also very good, although I wonder how it would be with non-packaged ramen noods (if you want to do it at home, add baking soda to Italian pasta, as alcolizing is the trick - you're welcome: check back here for more helpful hints?). Since I pretty much finish every review this way (except the train wrecks?). Will I return? Yes, wholeheartedly. Love Chef Nadine Moore and her creations. Limited menu? Sure, but limited is not a bad thing when you do it well. NOTE: Menu limited enough, these two pictures are fairly representative. But, limited does not mean bad ... in this case it means awesome (insert gif of cartoon yelling "awesome" here). For those asking, you can look up where the Birria Babe truck is on Facebook. Breweries are common spots and she seems to get out to New Heights a couple of times a month, at minimum. Have also seen the truck setting up at Living Waters on Trinity Lane.

Wow, wow, wow! I don't think I have enough positive things to say about this place. From the cashier to the food itself to the owner, everyone and everything was top tier! My boyfriend and I are in town from Chicago and stumbled on this place via Yelp and we are big fans of birria so decided to check it out. It's inside Cyanide Cider and is a a tiny spot but very vibrant area and welcoming. The cashier was super friendly and had suggestions. We decided to share the trio, the ramen, and the birria pizza special. They didn't disappoint! The trio consisted of one of each: chicken, lamb, and beef. To my surprise the lamb was my favorite. These were the best birria tacos I've ever had, even in Chicago!!! They came with consume and a few sauces including this mild avocado sauce that I devoured! The slices of cucumbers included were a nice refreshing touch. The birria ramen was also delicious and filling. The birria pizza was creative and good as well. A bit too much cheese but still delicious. The cashier came after the meal to see how we liked her recommendations and check on our experience, it was a nice touch. A little bit later the owner herself stopped by. She was originally from Chicago herself and we chatted about that. We discussed our meal and our experience and she was absolutely elated and beyond grateful that we had such a wonderful experience. I mentioned to her how much I loved the avocado sauce and she ended up giving me two containers on the house to take with me. I'll definitely be back here the next time I'm in Nashville and I can only hope she expands to Chicago one day!

This is somewhere over near the cemetery off of Chestnut Street.

BOMB! BOMB! BOMB! You really have had to have your taste buds jacked up from having covid to not like this food! This woman is trying to get extra husbands with this food! I really wanted to take some cornbread and dipped it in the leftover broth from the noodles! Not to mention I only have one taco. I wish I had more! She needed to be slapped that taco was so good! And I definitely want to try the lamb Taco next time! And for you all the sudden I'm allergic to gluten and can only eat vegan gluten free type people... She has vegetarian or either vegan items on the menu as well.

A burst of great flavors from the food at Birria Babe tacos! I was searching for good birria tacos in Nashville and saw that Birria Babe Tacos was going to have their food truck at Living Waters Brewery one night so I went there. They are a food truck so they travel around, but they post their schedule on their website and they go all over Nashville. Good food and very friendly staff. The Birria ramen is unique and I was definitely skeptical about it, but it was really good. The soup base is the meaty birria soup and they give you a spice packet to make it spicy. It has birria, ramen, and cheese on top - definitely an interesting combo. For the tacos, I tried the trio: chicken, beef, and goat and I recommend getting this to try all the meats! It comes with consume which is what you use to dip the tacos in for extra flavor. The meat was juicy and loaded with flavors. During this time, they were out of the Birria fries, which I cannot wait to try another time.

Overflowing with flavor! Wow! Birria Babe food truck is top notch. Super flavorful with great ingredients and very friendly service with a big smile. I had the Crispy Meat Trio of tacos, which includes one taco with each of the meat options (chicken, beef, and lamb). They were all exceptional. I think the beef was my favorite in terms of overall flavor, but all three were really tasty. Oh, and these are crispy tacos, but don't let that fool you. They aren't those packaged hard shell tacos that crack in half as soon as you take one bite. They are soft tortillas that are made crispy, I assume by frying in a skillet. So these are like soft tacos that are a little crispy when you bite into them. My wife had a trio of soft tacos with chicken, which were also excellent and very flavorful. All of the tacos have just a little bit of spicy to them, which was fantastic. They also have a green sauce (tomatillo, I'm guessing?) that is tasty, and an orange sauce that has more spice to it. The little food truck is adorable and cute, by the way. It is actually a trailer rather than a proper food truck, so it is really small, but it delivers very big flavor! Let me add this: The food truck is still outside right now, and the tacos were so good that even though I'm full I am super tempted to go back out and get another order!

They had me at birria. They kept me with the food. Tried this truck at a special event and let me tell you I will follow it so I can try more in the future. The staff was very friendly and even though they had a crowd they had an efficient ordering system. The tacos and consome were definitely worth the (limited) wait!

We were the lady customers of the night and received service like we were the first. We were greeted with smiles and explanations of the menu's items and apologies for being out of the Goat Birria option. You walk up to a good truck right before close, you know it's a chance they're out of something, so it was really nice how kind they were about it. The tacos themselves were absolutely amazing. Perfectly seasoned and juicy chicken. The taco was so good I really didn't even need to dip it. But when I did the broth did not disappoint at all. The Ramen... ummm.... look its so good and such a different experience that you've really just got to do yourself a favor and try it.

The place it's currently located in is nice and very welcoming, a great place to go and hang out with some friend. The food, there is really nothing good to say about it, as someone who have try real birria taco, I could only call this an expensive imitation, the meat was not season well, the shell was hard as an rock and the salsa is no where traditional. If you are looking for an real birria experience, avoid this place at all cost, but if you want somewhere to chill, maybe check it out

TL;DR: Yes Yes Yes Food: Had the crispy meat trio; one of each - lamb, beef, and chicken and each bite was better than the last. I had just completed 50 minutes of HIIT and the only thing that could bring me back to life were these flavorful tacos dipped in consume hitting my mouth. Service: extremely friendly, even apologetic that they were out of the ramen, even though I ordered after 50 other people! Vibes: people who love food making food for people who love food.

I still dream about these tacos. I got the regular beef birria tacos. I am not a big cheese lover so I asked for light cheese and they were very accommodating. Super fresh ingredients and great portion size! The consume had a great flavor with a hint of cinnamon but it complimented the beef well. I loved the crunchy exterior with the juicy meat inside. My sister got the trio with chicken, beef, and goat. She was very surprised by how much she loved the goat over the chicken and beef. The truck was easy to find and everyone was so friendly. I will definitely try it again if I'm back in town.

We decided to go after church on Sunday to try it out for ourselves! Visited around 9:45/10am on Sunday. Lots of seating outdoor and indoor! The people working there were all super nice and seemed happy to be there. The restaurant was clean and had beautiful decor. You order at the counter and they bring out the food to you. We ordered the family style pancake, which was massive. Think as big as a pizza and there was not only one but two of them! The pancake itself was delicious, warm, fluffy and perfectly cooked. My only critique was with the syrup. It's promoted as buttermilk syrup but it tasted like strait caramel/butterscotch. Think of those little butterscotch hard candies. This was the only disappointing part, I was looking forward to a light buttermilk syrup to melt into the pancake but it was heavy and had way too much flavor. I will definitely be back to try other items on the menu! Super cool place and a great atmosphere. Also, they have their own parking lot with lots of spaces! So helpful.

The margaritas were another highlight. They were fresh, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the tacos. The selection of tacos were pretty good because they had so many different types for each meat such as beef, chicken, seafood (I was shocked to see blackened salmon), pork, veggie, and more. That turned out to be one of the better decisions of the day. We started with the queso, which set the tone immediately. Creamy, velvety, and carrying just enough heat to get your attention without lighting your mouth on fire. Paired with well-salted chips, it was the kind of appetizer that has you saying, "Just one more chip" about fifteen times. For tacos, my wife and I accidentally ordered the exact same thing. Great minds. First was the Republican: smoked brisket, barbecue sauce, grilled corn, crispy onions, all wrapped in a flour tortilla. The brisket was tender, smoky, and packed with flavor... I don't care about your political views (they also have a Democrat on the menu)... this taco wins in a landslide... a mandate! Then came the Trailer Park, ordered "trashy," which means they ditch the lettuce and add queso. Trust me. Go trashy. Fried chicken, green chiles, pico, mixed cheese, poblano sauce, and queso all working together in a way that makes you wonder why anyone would eat a boring taco. The best review came from my wife. Halfway through the first taco she declared, "Five stars." After the second taco? "Definitely." Hard to argue with that. Great food, fun atmosphere, a cool concept, and one of the more memorable taco experiences we've had in a long time. Five stars. And yes, we'll be back. Those breakfast tacos are already calling our names.
