Al Pastor Tacos, Carne Asada Tacos, Hot Chicken Taco, and Chorizo Taco
    Holden S.

Amazing Tacos, I got the Al Pastor, Chorizo, Hot Chicken, and Carne Asada street tacos. Being someone who is super picky with Mexican and grew up eating authentic Mexican these where great. For the 4 tacos I had I would rank the Chorizo as #1. It was so flavorful and had the perfect amount of salt. After that I would say the Al Pastor, then the hot chicken, and last the carne asada. They where all Amazing but I think the Carne Asada needed some more salt and the hot chicken could use more nashville hot oil on it. Mine seemed more like fried chicken with a drizzle of sauce. I will definitely come back

Went here be because it's a DDD which means Guy Fieri ate here. He always goes to places that are amazing. Service was amazing and the staff greeted us with a friendly smile and greeting as soon as we walked in the door. The tacos were yummy. Indoor and patio type seating with nice Latin music. Only downside is the parking, had to pay $7.50 to park there for one hour.

    Birria tacos

This was the most amazing place staff was so friendly and the atmosphere was gorgeous with a nice indoor outdoor patio outside and these were the best birria tacos I've ever had 10 out of 10 would recommend this place. It was amazing.

Service, ambiance and food were all great. I was visiting for work and ventured out for something we don't have in Indy and was not disappointed.

Pie Town Tacos is a must try! It may be off the beaten path ( near City Winery) but worth finding for its tasty and very authentic Mexican food. You may get lucky and find street parking, but otherwise it's scan to pay. You'll walk in and place an order with the friendly staff, grab a beverage and find seating in the second building which has a covered outdoor vibe, or go through to the back for real outdoor patio seating- perfect for a nice day. It's a small menu. Instead of tacos I ordered the "make your own bowl" with black beans and rice, cojita cheese, some veges and I added chicken for the protein. It tasted authentic but I should have asked for some sour cream as it was a bit dry, even when mixed up. $8 bowl + $2.50 additional for protein. Not a bad price for lunch! They offer bottled beverages or soda fountain drinks, as well. I like the vibe and food here and will return to try the tacos. There is one restroom right past the soda fountain. It's spacious and clean but other patrons could be right outside the door . You won't accidentally stumble upon this restaurant but you should seek it out and enjoy all the authentic flavors!!

One of my new favorite taco spots in the city! The guy who took our order was so friendly, and really enjoyed sharing with us their different menu items and how he suggested to order them. We ordered chips and queso, two chicken tacos, and two el pastor tacos, and everything was amazing. Since it was about 55 degrees and sunny, we were also able to still take advantage of their outside deck! Overall a great bite for such good prices. We can't wait to return.

Great food, fast service, and friendly staff! Couldn't ask for more. Definitely worth checking out this local spot. Very reasonable pricing! They said they try and make the food as authentic to Mexico as possible. I had the hot chicken taco and the chorizo taco and loved both. They come with so much meat. My friends LOVED the birria tacos and the Al pastor. They also got the churros and they were delicious!! Come support!

I can see them looking down from my new place and have been intrigued for a few months now. Excellent proper street tacos! Tiny little spot with some small seating inside. They have burritos and some bowls as well but I wanted to go with some simple tacos on the first try. $3 each and $1 extra for steak. Totally fair as these are generous portions. Ordered two steak one chicken. Both great but the carne asada was my favorite. Simple with onions, cilantro, and lime wedges. They have red and green salsas you can grab from a cooler and they have Jamaica to drink as well which is a proper hibiscus beverage. Will return for sure!

Solid spot for authentic tacos. Food - I tried every street taco and the Nashville hot chicken and fish taco as well as the green rice and the desserts. Overall I think the food is solid. I agree that it's authentic except for the Nash tacos. The meat is well made and juicy - large portions on the tacos. I will say this is a preference thing but I thought it was too much meat on the tacos which can make it dry when eating it especially since it's on a small tortilla. I think the birria tasted good but once again personal preference I like my birria tortillas to more cooked on the outside and less wet/floppy. Aside from that the tacos and birria taste good! Service - The staff is welcoming and polite. All smiles when you walk inside. Went during lunch time and it wasn't much of a wait. They don't take long to call you up for your food. Ambiance - there is an inside seating area that's cold and feels good if it's really hot out. I like the patio/deck area. Very normal place to enjoy a meal.

Really obsessed with this place whenever I have a hankering for excellent Mexican street style tacos. I know they have other things on the menu, but the regular pollo/chicken street style taco is the stuff of my dreams and I've started over-ordering when I get takeout here so that I always have yummy leftovers. Tacos are all served on corn tortillas, topped with chopped white onion and cilantro, served with the perfect spicy-but-not-too-spicy salsa verde and some pickled veggies on the side. The queso is also amazing with made in-house tortilla chips. I would love to come in and try other things at some point but the sell/extreme awesomeness of that chicken taco really prevents me from being willing to get anything else when I come here. Friendly service, super cheap, easy parking - it's a win all around to eat here!

This made our list of places to try during our recent trip to Nashville. It was featured on an episode of Triple D and did not disappoint. We came in for an early lunch to try it out and ordered five different tacos. My favorite was the carne asada taco, but the Nashville hot chicken came in a very close second. We weren't hungry, around 10:30 a.m., but these tacos were packed with meat. If you are a big eater or coming in hungry, I could see five of these tacos going down easy because they are that tasty. Once you walk in, there's an open kitchen where you can order your food. There are a couple of barstool spots to eat in the main room, but there's also an indoor back area for dining. The back area is air-conditioned and very clean. There's paid parking right next door, but I'm sure there's street parking available if needed. I would definitely come back here during my next visit to Nashville!

For my first visit to Pie Town Tacos, I ordered a Nashville-style hot chicken taco and a hot cauliflower taco. I was blown away by how spicy they were, and that's coming from a spicy food lover. The chicken was crispy and well breaded and the cauliflower was almost indistinguishable aside from a different texture. The slaw on top did a great job of balancing the heat. The street-style tacos themselves are deceivingly filling -- an order of two was perfect for lunch. The tortillas were delicious. I love the condensed menu and fast (and friendly!) service, which makes this a great spot for a quick lunch. Seating is somewhat limited, but we had no trouble finding a table for our group of 8 in the enclosed area behind the restaurant. There is also a sizable patio. I look forward to adding Pie Town Tacos lunch rotation!

Seems like this is still one of Nashville's best kept secrets. Came to Pie Town Tacos for a quick lunch before our flight out of TN. Saw it on the Food Network right before our trip and figured we had to try it! Service was super fast and the worker explained the menu perfectly for us with recommendations. We ultimately got tacos: hot cauliflower, al pastor, chicken, and carne asada. All were delicious but the cauliflower and al pastor were definitely our faves. The hot cauliflower had a delicious slaw with pickle on it that really completed each bite. Heat level was perfect too. The al pastor tacos came with grilled pineapples which is the best combo you could ask for. Hoping to come back in the future to try one of their bowls. Definitely recommend Pie Town Tacos for quick/fantastic food that will not disappoint!

This place came recommended from a friend and it seemed exciting to go to the restaurant of a singer! It is right in the heart of the downtown bar area. We had a very large group of people on a Saturday night. We had a bit of a wait as they do not take reservations. They seated us upstairs all together sort of at a row of tables separate but all on a row which worked out ok. We were there to celebrate a 21st birthday. They did say Happy Birthday but nothing special beyond that was given or provided which was a little disappointing but I think everyone in Nashville is celebrating something so I get it. Service was very good. Chips with salsa and guacamole was provided upon seating for everyone. When requested more was provided. We had one person who was Gluten Free and they appeared to take care in explaining options as well as answering any questions people had. Drinks were refilled and kept flowing (alcoholic ones). And for a busy Saturday night meals came out in a good timing. Everyone enjoyed their meal although one person had bitten into something hot and did not like it and they were happy to replace the meal. The meal that I had was fantastic! The steak quesadilla. The steak was tender and extremely flavorful. Honestly I had been a bit hesitant to order steak due to being very picky over steak quality. But I was very happy with it! Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals and at the end of the meal the server actually was ok with splitting up the ticket even tho we were a very large group which many many establishments refuse to do so this made me very pleased! Oh they had a live band playing on the first floor which was nice. There is an elevator at the back of the restaurant which is nice for those unable or just not wanting to climb a flight of stairs . The flower wall with the Nashville name on it made such a great backdrop for photos! They had two unisex bathrooms on the first floor. I would definitely recommend and go back to this place!

The fact that Savannah's was right next door made it even more fun I stopped in on Taco Tuesday around lunchtime, and it was the perfect time to visit. There was a nice crowd, but it wasn't overly busy. I even picked up a Casa Rosa T-shirt as a souvenir after settling in at the bar. The highlight of my visit was Johnny, the bartender. I told him I wanted something sweet with tequila, and he created the perfect drink. I honestly don't know what he made, but it was so good I ordered a second one! We also discovered we're both from Chicago, which made for great conversation and made the experience feel even more welcoming. Johnny recommended the tacos, and they absolutely lived up to the hype. They were fresh and flavorful. Pair those tacos with two amazing tequila drinks, live music from a fantastic band, and my total bill came to under $50. If you're looking for a great lunch spot with good food, excellent drinks, live music, and outstanding service, Casa Rosa is definitely worth a stop. And if Johnny is behind the bar, you're in great hands. I can't wait to make it back to Nashville, and hopefully one day I'll get lucky enough to visit while Miranda Lambert is there!
