The birria de chivo en caldo with costilla is a must-try; having the meat on the bone really levels up the broth. the server mentioned they usually shred all the meat, but she went out of her way to get me the ribs. I've tried food trucks & other birrierias up here and they're just not up there like this place. The service is fast and friendly, although the weekends tend to be pretty busy and they can sell out earlier than closing time, but that's how you know it's good! It's a small place, maybe about 10 tables inside the establish but it's visibly clean and there's an A/C system inside as well. 10/10 would recommend! I normally get the tacos plebes which is basically a quesabirria with guacamole & I add a side of consomé. Absolutely delicious! Omg the tacos plebe is so good, the beef (res) and goat (chivo) are both tender and delicious. The goat is mild and doesn't have that "goaty" smell to it, which I appreciate. The food is savory and delicately flavorful. I'm honestly so in love with them right now. I went twice this week and I'll probably want more in a couple of days. It's better to go during the week, I heard it's packed on the weekends. Jamaica (hibiscus) drink is great too, they make their aguas frescas in house! I want to say this, I had a minor misunderstanding when I first walked in as I understand very little in the way of Spanish, but the woman who helped me was incredibly polite and helpful and patient. I really appreciate that and her English was amazing as well. Placing the order was simple, 5he wait wasn't too long even though I fully expected a wait. They had a few customers at the time. Stopped here on the way to Vegas. Needed a quick lunch to go. The menu is very limited and no, they don't have many vegetarian options as Yelp claims. We eat chicken and fish, too, but they had neither! Just beef or pork. My first request was for chicken. We had to opt for a cheese quesadilla. I asked if there were any veggies on it...just cilantro and onions. And the nice lady taking our order said, "I guess you don't eat lime." Well...yes we do. My husband asked if their beans had lard in them. He was going to opt for his fallback bean and rice burrito. They have no beans or rice either! She asked if we were vegetarian with a smile even though we came in looking for chicken. Maybe she thinks vegetarians only eat vegetables (no lime). Kinda cute. Opened the bag in the car to discover all the add-ons come in little handily-tied plastic wrap pouches. Had to add them ourselves. Not so easy in a quesadilla that's glued together with cheese. I gave this restaurant a 3 rather than something lower because the waitress had such a friendly smile even though we were strangers asking for everything they didn't have.
