This was the worst Indian food I have ever eaten. We ordered Samosas, Vindaloo Shrimp and Chicken Kababs. The Samosas were ok. The Vindaloo shrimp was not spicy and there were about 8 very small shrimp and about 4 potato chunks. The rest was just so-so sauce. The kabab was the worst - basically just sautéed chicken with a few pieces of green pepper & onion. Spices were completely missing, the chicken was NOT grilled s a kabab should be and a skewer was nowhere to be seen. The was $37 and included NO RICE or naan. The rive was $2 extra - how cheap!!! Not many inside the restaurant; mainly a takeout place. Started with the corn soup; did not eat. It was frozen veggies with a flour/water broth. It was gross. The garlic naan was good; tasted like butter. The chicken 64 had a excellent spicy flavor but was not warm. Chicken vindaloo was the best of the bunch, extremely good flavor. Wow! I've only gone here once but it was such a great experience I can't wait to go back and work my way through the menu. I would warn you, when they say things have spice, "they have spice". So if you like things mild, just be sure to let them know. They are very accommodating so it's not a problem. I asked for mild to medium and it had heat. My coworkers and I recently tried this restaurant, and they all seemed to love it. Unfortunately, I did not. I don't think it's anything they did wrong, it's just not my cup of tea. They got garlic butter chicken and lamb curry. I got chicken tandoori and rice. The chicken was dry and the rice had a weird flavor to it.. maybe saffron or something. But I would probably not order again. 3 stars cause I don't think it's the restaurants fault, just personal taste but I can't rate it higher than that. read more

I can't comment on the interior of the restaurant as we ordered off Uber Eats. I had been craving butter chicken for a few days so we decided to try this place out. We ordered butter chicken, paneer butter masala and naan. The butter chicken was tasty, flavorful, had the right amount of spice, and they used tandoori chicken. The paneer was fresh, and while the gravy was tasty it was very thin. Naan was decent. Overall I would order from here again. read more

So the pictures on Yelp make the food look amazing. When I got my delivery order, the food looked average. I ordered through Yelp even though the restaurant had a way to order on their website (the delivery fee was insane though). I noticed the menus didn't match but I found stuff I wanted to try. I had the Hyderabadi Vegetable Dum Biryani and the Mirchi Bajji. Now, I'm not a novice to spicy food. I like flavorful spice. I've had Thai food and Indian food before - no issues. I took one bite of the Mirchi Bajji and found it inedible. It was way too spicy. Why? Because the seeds and pith were left in the pepper. It completely took away from the dish and I was SO disappointed. I love peppers but I couldn't eat these. I looked up recipes because I was curious if it was a type of pepper I didn't know. All recipes I found said "long green chilies" and to "remove the seeds and pith." The Hyderabadi Vegetable Dum Biryani was okay. It wasn't anything to write home about and I found the flavor to be one note without any complexity. I may try here again but I'll try other items. read more

We went on a Saturday dinner and the staff told tandoor oven is not working so no tandoor appetizer or bread can be ordered. So we were left with only biryani option. Ordered paneer 65 biryani and gongura chicken biryani along with chicken majestic and Dhaba style gobi fry. The appetizers tasted ok though the chicken wasn't fresh. My favorite Indian restaurant in Tempe closed, but I saw biryani pot on a Yelp list and OMG, I am hooked and will be a regular from now on. Tonight I ordered the butter chicken which I figure if they screw it up, there's no point in coming back and trying something else. The portion size was perfect, lots of chicken with plenty of sauce to dip the garlic and basil naan in. The spice level, ( I asked for medium) was perfect, a little heat without burning my mouth out. I don't think it was more than 6 minutes from placing my order to food on the table. If price is a factor, they are VERY reasonable. Do yourself a favor, check this place out. read more

Fantastic place for anything you're craving. Personally I'm a huge fan of the vindaloo and Roti. I haven't had anything bad here though. The lamb, the chicken, and yes even the goat are all done so well. Filling and full of flavor I love coming here and the spice levels are perfect. read more

Do I recommend this place? Yes. I ordered wok fried chilli potatoes for starters which was full of flavor and definitely on the spicy side, but it was softer, and I was hoping for it to be a little crunchy. Paneer tikka masala which tasted good but was a little on the sweeter side so know that before you get it. Malai kofta was good too, just wish there were more koftas in it since we were two people and there weren't enough for two to share. Both curries came with rice. We also ordered nan which didn't disappoint but wasn't crispy, so more like a softer version, but since it was a pick up order, it could have gotten softer by the time we got home. They're probably more popular for their biryani since the place is called Biryani Pot ..lol.. so maybe their biryani would get them to 5 stars, I'll definitely try it and update my review if that's the case :D read more

It's good to have some decent Indian food in the neighborhood. The best part of the food here is the Biryani dishes. I thought the Butter Chicken was good but they could use better chicken. Looks like they likely used the frozen sliced chicken strips from Costco maybe. Would prefer it with a nice dark meat chicken or even tandoori. The chicken 65 was decent but Pasty and Chaats is much better. All in all this place is very good and we will order again. The prices were fair as well. read more

The food is good, the pricing however is not. They upcharge you for rice with a curry dish.... Who eats butter masala without any rice? I thought when ordering online and it said add basmati rice for 2.99$ that was an additional order... nope, your 14$ curry does not include rice and if you want it your looking at a now 17$ vegetarian meal. The owner and servers are so so sweet and helpful. To accommodate my diet restrictions, the owner had the kitchen make a dish not on the menu. And it was delicious. I think they'll put it on the menu soon. They called it "Goat Fry." It's like pot roast and gravy with all the layers of Indian spices thrown in. They have reasonably good food (Biryanis only). They never keep the food ready when you order online. Not sure if they start cooking after the customer areives for pick up. They take atleast 20 mins after you arrive. I tried going 20 mins later than my pick up time couple of times to avoid the delays. But, the same thing happened. read more
