We have been going to Feringhee since this Woman Owned restaurant opened in June 2022. It is our favorite Indian Restaurant in Arizona. This is restaurant week in the area from 5/15/26 to 5/24/26. We had the prix fix menu and it was outstanding as usual. The atmosphere definitely says Fine Dining. The service is excellent and our server, Angelica, was no exception to the many great servers we have met over the years. Her passionate input on our selections was extremely helpful. They have a full bar. On this trip, the $44 steal of a price included 3 courses and a side of rice or naan. We started with the Bhelpuri Avocado which is like a mix of puffed rice and avocado. The contrast of the crispy rice and flavorful and creamy avocado was a server suggestion and I am thrilled she did. The table next to us was also vocally registering their excitement with the dish. My wife went with the Parsi Lamb Keema which is like having the popular street food, Pav Bahji with a fantastically flavorful lamb stew with just the right amount of heat, served with buns like sliders. For the main courses we had the ever popular and best ever Butter Chicken made even more enjoyable with a dip of the Garlic Naan made fresh in house to order. Super tender naan. I went with the other server suggestion of Fish Curry which was an incredible mix of very crisp exterior yet moist interior sea bass swimming in a delicious curry. Never ordered before but again, thank you Angelica. Finally desert was the Gulab Jamon Cheesecake. Unique and very tasty ending to a fantastic meal. Even if you missed restaurant week, this is a must visit place for foodies. read more

This place has been on my list for a while and I'm so glad I finally made the trip to check it out. Tried a bunch of things at dinner last night- all super tasty. To start, the prawn ghee roast is a nice pile of perfectly cooked shrimp on a thin uttapam pancake that was perfect for soaking up the seasoning. Loved all the flavors and textures in the beetroot tikki chaat and would def order this one again. For mains, we went with fish curry and charred corn dumplings. Both came with really great sauces. I would definitely order the Punjabi chickpeas with chunks of cheese- they were amazing. Cumin rice was perfectly cooked and the garlic naan is the best version I've had in town- so light, definitely get both. I was too full for dinner, but if you like gulab jamun, there's a creative cheesecake twist on the traditional dessert. And a fun popsicle if you like candied fennel seeds and rose petals. This place had a great interior design with splashes of yellow, a deep green color, and some patterned decor as well. It all blends so well together and creates a very put together look! Our server last night was so friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu! He was able to answer all questions and made a great suggestion in my entrée. It was a Saturday evening, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but my friend and I were able to be set immediately once we arrived around 8 or 9 PM. We ordered the fried chicken small plate and the green pea samosas. The green sauce that comes with the samosas is fantastic, soo flavorful and yummy! I was worried about not liking the samosas because I have a strong dislike for peas, but they were honestly so good, and with the sauce, no complaints. The fried chicken was also pretty good and came with his own green sauce as well. This sauce had a creamier texture to it and was good, but not as good as the other sauce. My friend ordered the butter chicken entrée and I was shocked to find that at $28, it did not include rice. As a matter of fact, a side of rice was $6 to add. At the price you're paying, I feel the least they could do is add the tiny bit of rice they give you for $6. Anyway, upon the server's suggestion, I ordered the fish curry. I was a little nervous as I tend to avoid ordering fish at restaurants, but it was good and I was pleasantly surprised! I initially thought this portion was small, but honestly upon eating it it's probably a decent portion for the meal you're getting. The $33 price tag is a bit up there, but I'm also not knowledgeable about the cost of Seabass and what not. Lastly, I did order the cheesecake dessert , and found it wasn't for me. I expected more flavor from the donuts baked with it as well as a caramel drizzle, but didn't seem to get that. It really just tasted like plain cheesecake to me, which is not my favorite. We went for lunch on a Saturday. The food was delicious. The lunch menu needs to be redone to add descriptions. I know my way around Indian food and have tried almost every Indian restaurant from Queen Creek to Glendale and have been to India, and yet I could not tell what the menu choices were. We asked for a full menu and tried to find each item on the regular menu to know what it was. It was like doing homework. We would have ordered more had we known what anything was. I just hoped that the items I found would be enough as I had no idea what half the menu was. The food itself was great. The puffed grains dish was so good. Momos were good and also spicy, the baighan bartha was ok, not great and that is a dish I often, and lastly the chicken drumstick thing was very flavorful and delicious with the mint chutney. We had a bottle of rosé also, and it paired well enough with what we had. I will return but not for lunch ad I found the menu frustrating. I will return for dinner. I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and finally had the opportunity! This restaurant puts a creative spin on traditional Indian food. For example, one thing we tried was the trio of Pani Puri. You wouldn't be able to tell from the description on the menu, but you are served these puffed balls and little juices with them that you pour into the balls. It looks like a science experiment! There is an interesting crunch and pop with juice that accompanies this dish. We also tried the chaat and the cauliflower. All were delicious. For mains, we tried the goat curry and the fish curry. We came with reservations and were asked to wait while they set up our table and as we were waiting another couple came in right after us, told the hostess they did not have reservations, were also asked to wait, but were seated before us? This really annoyed us. restaurant The food however, was extremely tasty, which is the saving grace for this restaurant. We ordered the Feringhee's chaat, murgh malai kebab, and nawabi jackfruit pulao, all of which were SO GOOD! We also ordered the cauliflower 65 but that dish was just okay. Our waiter was extremely kind, however, it was very understaffed that day (as we were told) so unfortunately, he was not very attentive. I asked for a refill on my water, which never came. All made from scratch using epicurean Indian spices. Even more remarkable was that no dish this evening overlapped flavors. The explosive (not hot) flavors of each dish will have you saying Wow! The surrounding decor is eclectic with an Asian flair. The service was warm and knowledgable over every dish offered. Jeremy made sure to begin by explaining the menu then moving on from vegetarian to meat and chicken comestibles. Extremely thorough and patient. Good job! We began with appetizers of flavorful Samosas. Very good. Followed by Exquisite slow braised and glazed Kandhari pork ribs which had a candied crunchy exterior and tender meat interior. We moved on with *Achari (pickling spice) Paneer Rolls. 5 solid stars-must have- as the sauce was SUPER! (too delicious to leave behind, we took the remaining sauce) *Old Delhi Butter chicken (5stars) *Kashmiri lamb chops (5 stars) super tender aromatic with a majestic fragrance. Again, every dish was unique in flavor. Must make note that while the pricing seems a bit high, the sourcing of highly desirable costly spices, comes across in the character of all dishes. Came here for lunch. Given it was a weekend, did a reservation. Guess they were less staffed today hence the wait. It did seem packed for lunch.. We were greeted politely and were quickly seated. The presentation gets 100% and the service for peak lunch hours was spot on! We started with the kakori kebob, it was a pleasant surprise. Ordered their famous Feringhee I love you drink.. it was light for a hot summer day! The dum biryani was so-so that was a bit disappointing , Rice was a little undercooked.. the butter chicken and naan and roti were perfect! What bought the entire experience together was the Tender coconut panna cota. It was light, creamy yet had a good crunch to it and had a nice blend of fresh berries (for those who love berries, do try this). It came with passion fruit sorbet (i particularly don't like passion fruit, would have been happier with a mango or tropical fruit sorbet) but overall the dessert was mind blowing! The freshness of the coconut flakes and almond flakes along with the berries and the coolness of coconut flavoured pannacota is just the tropical dessert we require in AZ heat!!! For years, I've been mourning the loss of Curry Garden in Gilbert, convinced that truly great Indian food in the area was a thing of the past. So much so that I half-joked I'd need to leave the country just to get a proper meal. Then, I walked into this place--and the first good sign? The restaurant was packed with Indian customers. That's when I knew I was in for something promising. We ordered chicken biryani, butter chicken, garlic naan, and rice. The biryani? Fantastic. The rice was perfectly cooked, and the pastry covering on top locked in all the moisture, making the chicken incredibly tender. No dry, disappointing biryani here! The butter chicken was rich, flavorful, and just the right level of creamy goodness. And the naan? Fresh, garlicky, and perfect for scooping up every last bite. Yes, prices are on the higher side, but when a place doesn't skimp on spices (unlike so many disappointing spots that rely on salt instead of actual flavor), I'm happy to pay. That's what made Curry Garden so special back in the day--they got the spices right. This place takes it up a notch in atmosphere and presentation, and while it's almost at Curry Garden's level, it's close enough that I'll be back. Next time, I'm bringing friends. read more

I'm going to be honest I don't have a lot of reference to give a solid food review. We went to try something new and that's exactly what we got. Our food was delicious, so many wonderful flavors. My favorites of the night were the pomegranate glazed pork ribs, the chicken rara, and there was a dish similar to pani puri (Dari puri maybe?) on their summer menu that was delicious. They have a lovely wine selection and some nice cocktails to try with the food. The only issue was about halfway through the meal our server must have been overwhelmed because things got forgotten and took a long time to make it to the table. Finally got to try this modern Indian food restaurant. Interior is cute and cozy! We got to try Chai, fondue chicken, fried chicken with avocado sauce, and chicken biriyani. Chai was good, it was spicey enough to my liking. Fondue chicken was yummy, I really liked their fried chicken with avocado sauce. Chicken was tender yet crispy, and the avocado sauce was so good with the chicken. And biriyani was so good, there were plenty of chicken, and two chutneys- yogurt and curry, came with the rice was so flavorful. And what I really liked about their food is that it's less heavy and more on the lighter side then the traditional Indian food! Our waitress was friendly and checked on us when we needed! When we walked in we noticed that a wedding or something special was happening on the right side in the private section so vibes were good! It took a couple of minutes for the receptionist to greet us but then we got seated very quickly for our reservation. The waiter was super friendly and explained the menu. Ambiance is very cute, not too casual, and not too fancy. The bar area is very pretty. Service was fantastic and the food came out quick. The food was amazing! The rock shrimp was perfectly fried with great flavor. The Malai kofta was also fantastic, great flavor with a little bit of a kick, but not too spicy. Indian fine dining. Small plate restaurant which strives for quality and atmosphere over quantity, and they come very close to the 5 star rating. We are unable to provide a 5 star rating due to just a few but important factors. The server did not know the full menu, the coke was completely uncarbonated, the mango in the dessert was unripe and unflavorful and there was a pistachio shell in there as well. Mirchi Ka Salan - Good Hyderabadi Dum Chicken Biryani - Very good The Chaat had so many flavors. It was very surprising, especially for vegan and GF. (Get naan for mopping up the bowl.) The cauliflower was also very tasty. The Mirchi Ka Salan was fine. I think maybe we were underwhelmed after the first 2 dishes. The Chicken Biryani was a popular dish as most tables had it. I enjoyed it but suggested that it should be served screaming hot!! All-in-all, a very nice atmosphere with excellent service from Ryan and an amazing meal!! We'll be back for sure. I had THE BEST time here and can't wait to come back!!! We had a reservation for Thursday around 545pm. It was slow when we arrived, but definitely picked up while we were there. The decor was beautiful, definitely giving modern Indian. I ordered The Botanist cocktail which was light and just the right amount of sweet. The Spicy Guava Maria was also delicious with the mezcal in it. For appetizers, I tried the TRIO OF PANI PURI (VEGAN) which was a really fun and interactive experience. I also tried the BOMBAY AVOCADO BHELPURI (VEGAN) which was very good too. For entrees, I ordered the DUM CHICKEN BIRYANI which was served covered, under a seasoned fried bread, maybe like naan, but it was delicious!! We also ordered the JACKFRUIT TACOS which was probably my favorite, as I'd never tried jackfruit and the way the dish was prepared was incredible!!! Highly recommend trying. The jalapeño and cheese naan was super cheesy and spectacular!!! I would order this every time. The OLD DELHI BUTTER CHICKEN was also great. They had been out of a few of the items we had asked for, so the chef gave us complementary dessert. We tried the GULAB JAMUN CHEESECAKE which was decadent and tasty. Charging nearly $30 for butter chicken without rice is hilarious. I ordered butter chicken for pickup. When I arrived, they told me rice wasn't included since it's an add-on. That policy might be fine, but I wasn't informed at ordering and wasn't offered any resolution at pickup. Butter chicken without rice isn't a meal. A one-time exception or even a heads-up when I ordered would've gone a long way. Instead I left with an incomplete meal and zero hospitality. read more

I've had Feringhee on my list of places to try around the Phoenix area for some time, but it's quite a drive from our house so we hadn't made it out. However, a turn of events resulted in us visiting Scheels across the street right around lunch with a 1 year old in tow. We quickly discovered that Feringhee's vibes are not toddler vibes, so lunch was the right time to visit. This is a place to bring a date or a few close friends, and if you're coming for dinner, I get the feeling that reservations are definitely needed. Despite that, we had an excellent experience and our waiter was very accommodating (they do have high chairs!). The Vegetarian Lunch Thaali is like a curry sampler and was perfectly sized for two people (plus a baby?) to split if you get an extra rice on the side. It included a pleasant blend of spicy and mild curries, and each one was flavorful and unique. It's a great way to try out some of what the restaurant has to offer without committing to only one entrée. Can't wait to come try dinner! read more

Upon arrival, we were greeted, introduced to our server who really explained their menu in detail. We chose several small plates to share as starters but were surprised at how full we were! My favorite dish was by far the Feringhee's Chaat. The flavors and textures worked so well. All of the dishes were great. The Mango Lassi was refreshing and welcomed. If you get one starter I highly suggest their Chaat, mild spicy with amazing spices and flavor. The deep fried Shiso Leaves pair so well. You can't go wrong with any dish. If you have a milder palate, the Mirgh Malai Kebabs are perfect. The pistachios dusted on top really make this dish stand out. I will say we came on a Tuesday as I can see this place packed on a weekend night! They are enabled for online reservations. Definitely can't wait to come back and try more dishes! read more

Modern interior space and comfy seating. Service was a bit slow, but not bad. We had butter chicken and biryani, with garlic naan. All was quite tasty. My two wishes are that they had more selection on the menu; they didn't have tikka masala, or vindaloo, or palak. I also wish they would ask how spicy you want the dish, most Indian restaurants ask the spice level you want. This place seems just to have one spice level. It was good, but could have been 2x more spicy/hot and I would have been happy. I also wish the butter chicken came with rice instead of having to order it separate on the side. Made a 6:30 appointment for my brother's birthday and didn't get seated until after 7pm. The manager apologized and sent champagne to us while we were waiting outside but 3 people in our party do not drink not their fault) but once we finally got seated our waiter did not seem familiar with the menu and was unable to answer any of our questions about the food. It took about another 40 minutes before they started bringing our food out. The person dropping off our food didn't seem to know what he was bringing out, when we asked him what the dishes were he had no idea ( at one point he looked right at the chicken and said "I think it's shrimp"). Another 10 minutes later and my food had not arrived, when we told the waiter he looked at his pad and asked "what did you order again?" Then returned from the kitchen and told me the chef was putting my food at the front of the line which tells me they completely forgot it. I told them to cancel it since everyone else in my party was almost done with their meal. To top it all off they tacked on a 20% gratuity which we had them take off. As we were just over the whole evening the hostess or manager tried to offer us free dessert but we declined, we just wanted to get out of there and go get some food since I never got mine. Absolutely awful experience, our table that we had reserved with a credit card was 30 minutes late. Table service was terrible we had servers reaching over us, we were never offered refills for our drinks. One of our orders was not put in so we had five people ready to eat and one missing order. The manager was avoiding our table like the plague she kept sending the server over instead of coming over herself. When we got the check nothing was comped and they still had the gall to automatically charge us a 20% gratuity. I will never be back to this place and I do not recommend anyone waste their time or money here. read more

Back story- I've tried Indian food once before and had the worst experience, but a few of my friends vouched for Feringhee. Here goes- Ordered the cut appetizer ball's with the juice- definitely interesting. They're little puff pastry ball's with tiny potato cubes that you pour your choice juice in and eat in one bite. The berry and pineapple were favorites. Mint juice lost. I'm a fan of kabob plates- usually those have meat, rice and salad on the plate. Feringhee only has meat. Only meat. For $27. I'll pass on that order if I ever return. It's been 3 days, and the leftovers are still sitting in my fridge. Two others got the butter chicken- they enjoyed it. The star of the night was the super pretty drink. It was presented in covered glass- smelled enchanting and my friend said it tasted wonderful. It's dry January- so I didn't taste it. This place is a definite go for the experience. 3 out of 4 says it's just a one hit wonder. read more

The whole restaurant is beautifully decorated, and they have a large mural inside which really contributes to the overall ambience. The food is amazing however it is a little bit on the spicier side, so would recommend you discuss with the waiter prior to ordering. I always tend to get the Keema with the buttered buns. It's made exceptionally well. Everything else you get you will be highly impressed with as well. You literally cannot go wrong with any of the food items that they have. I've been there a few times and have nothing but great reviews to share. The only thing I would recommend is please add white meat as an option to your chicken dishes. Overall good experience. Went at 5PM on a wednesday and was able to get a table right away. Appetizer was delicious although a bit on the smaller side. Mango lassi was very unique, it had a floral taste and some texture to it. This probably is not a flattering description but it reminded me of soap? But in a good way! My husband and I came here for the first time during Arizona Restaurant Week. We will for sure be back! The restaraunt is gorgeous. We were a bit early for our reservation but were warmly greeted and seated within moments. Our waiter was Mohammed and he was fantastic. He fully explained each item on the menu and was always there if we needed something. Our favorite bites of the night were the Samosa Pinwheel Chaat (Chickpea masala, Potato Vermicelli) and the Malai Kofta (Cottage Cheese Dumplings, Cashew Korma Gravy). I loved the dessert 'popsicle' covered in Sicilian Pistachios and Candied Rose Petals. I can't wait to come back and more modern Indian cuisine at this fabulous place. read more
