Happy to see this addition in Gilbert! We had been going to Curry Corner for years in Tempe before we moved further away. They have a pretty straight forward Indian food menu with the traditional non-vegetarian and vegetarian curries, biryani, etc. The first time my husband and I dined here, we got the tikka masala fries appetizer and a vegetarian & a non-vegetarian thali. The fries were okay, but could've been fried crispier so they wouldn't have gotten as soggy with the tikka masala sauce. The thali items were good too. Of all the dishes, the Chicken Makhani was my favorite. This was pretty much all I had gotten in Tempe so I was excited that the flavors were still there. I also like that they offer the choice of naan or rice with all their curry dishes. They have plenty of seating. Service was slower when we went but they were new, so hopefully just working out the kinks. If you're in the area, stop by! read more

I went with the Curry Chicken and Rice and it was delicious, but there are so many items on the menu that sound good, so I'll have to return to try them, and ideally with friends or family so we can dine family style and share. Great addition to Gilbert Gateway Towne Center! Curry Corner is a casual Indian and Pakistani restaurant specializing in curries. I took my son on an early dinner date here one Sunday evening before a movie. We were greeted right away and asked to sit anywhere we'd like. A server came by our table shortly after to take our orders. I've never been to their Tempe location, but based on the photos, this location looks much smaller with only enough seating for around 30 people or just under. The previous business that occupied this space was a fast casual restaurant. This location had only been open less than a month so they weren't equipped to offer everything on the menu yet. I was hoping to try their fish entrees, but they weren't serving fish at the time of our visit. My son and I ordered the following: Goat karahi $18 Paneer Tikka masala $13 Garlic naan $4 Everything came out hot and fresh. My tikka masala was creamy and tasty, and the naan was perfectly garlicky. I didn't try my son's goat karahi, but he thought it was delicious. The staff and owners--who were there working--were all wonderful. We look forward to returning and trying more items on the menu! read more

My friend and I came here to try out this place during our lunch break. We arrived around noon and it wasn't busy. There were plenty of open chairs and tables. Parking was a bit of a pain as it's shared parking with other restaurants in the plaza. The service was very friendly and welcoming. We ordered to dine in but unfortunately the food took longer to prepare than anticipated. So we took the food to go instead. The staff was apologetic and kind enough to waive our Strawberry Lassi drinks. The food was...delicious. My go to and safe dish to order is always chicken tikka masala. I figure if it's not to my liking then it's an indicator that the place may not be for me. In my opinion, I can say that this place has the better tikka masala dish in the area (better than Tikka Shack & Guru). The amount of spice was perfect and it was full of flavor. My friend's dish was also very delicious and flavorful. Her chicken was so tender and juicy. They definitely used fresh strawberries for the strawberry lassi because there were strawberry seeds throughout the drink. It did remind me of a lighter and slightly tart strawberry smoothie. I'll need to try their mango lassi next time. We will definitely come back again and try the other dishes. I highly recommend supporting this local restaurant! read more

Located between Ono Hawaiian BBQ and Starbucks. The parking lot gets busy during peak hours. We arrived on a Friday at 7PM, only one other party dining. The restaurant is a fast casual sit-down hybrid. They took our order at the table, but I had to get my own water and napkins. The Chicken Makhani was DELICIOUS! The Paneer Tikka Masala was ok. Glad to see an Indian place near by! Haven't tried the Tempe location though. My husband and I came during dinner time, not too busy. We asked what was close to butter chicken and they suggested the CHICKEN MAKHANI. Very flavorful and a hint of spice. I'd get this again. The PANEER TIKI MASALA was ok- the cheese was plain and it was the sauce that saved it. Will skip this one next time. Naan and rice were pretty standard. Staff were helpful and accommodating. Ambiance was nice, we have tried this restaurant back in 2010 in Tempe however after seeing them opened Up in Gilbert wanted to try. The service was good. We went just 45 min before The closing time and they did their best to give us fresh food. Really appreciated We ordered Samosa chaat It was good but they soaked it on top of dhahi ( yogurt). We couldn't taste anything other than the yogurt. Have never seen a samosa chaat presented This way. Presentation was not Good either. Total flop Naan was so good and really soft Kala chenna gravy was really delicious and had so much of flavors Panner gravy was spicy and we couldn't taste the layers of flavors in it Ordered a wrap and it was good but not delicious. Mango lassi was a flop as well So creamy and thick Lassi is supposed to be watery and light It's for digestion to the end But it said otherwise On the whole not so impressive But a decent one to try it once. read more

Delightful eatery in the Gilbert Gateway Towne Center. Ambiance has a bare bones vibe. But the food is absolutely 5 star at extremely reasonable prices. Their Chicken Tikka ( tandoori chicken) and Kababs are the best in the Valley IMO. Biryani has more meat than rice. The food is flavorful without being overpowering. Stopped by this little gem that was a Triple D feature in 2013. It is super clean, but a little understated. It is a sandwich shop style cuisine. The food is definitely the highlight. I had chicken biriyani. The dark meat chicken meat was exquisite, so rich, sweet, tender, with an excellent yogurt dipping sauce. I gorged on the healthy serving. We have eaten here several times and always enjoyed the food. however, it seems as if they have changed their chef recently. We ordered 3 curry dishes and all 3 tasted the same. The naans, which used be authentic naans, were more like flatbread. They used to served authentic Pakistani food with the same flavor as back home. Unfortunately, the food today tasted like something you would buy from cheap Indian restaurant: everything the same orange color and the same flavor. Yeah this spot is IT. Excellent flavors that aren't overpowering. It's a Pakistani Indian combo, so they have beef as well. Might be some of the best I've had. The naan alone is 10/10. Not quite the same as the Tempe location. My wife and I have been going to the Tempe spot at least twice a year for the past 15 years. And all 30 times we've been there, the food has always been excellent, we've left with happy stomachs and gratitude for choosing to dine there. We were excited to hear about the new location, especially since we drive from Queen Creek. We visited for the first time yesterday and instantly felt something was off. * Chicken Tikka Masala: It seemed like the meat changed from thigh to breast. It was very dry and wasn't tender like usual. * Chicken Korma: I enjoyed it, but my wife noticed a strong cashew flavor and said it didn't taste the same. What we loved: * Mango lassi was great * Friendly service * Very clean environment * Quick food preparation Overall: The new location is almost great, and we plan to keep coming since it's closer to us. After dinner update - food was decent, they definitely have improved the quality of their foood. The service was great. It's a smaller setup not many tables available for dine in option. I love this place. We had chicken tikki masala and i really liked it. The naan was very fresh. I also had a mixed vegetable dish with potato, carrots, and cauliflower that was delightful.
