Wow, we left so happy! Recommended to this place (by an Indian lol) and didn't disappoint We came at opening on a Sunday (5pm) and we basically had the place to ourselves. (Lots of take out tho!) Very clean (incl bathroom) and organized. Loved the music and the tv they had on with Bollywood. We were greeted right away and checked on frequently. He was very patient with us and answered our questions kindly The butter naan was so fresh and soft, the plain dosa was just as expected plus yummy sauces. The tandoori chicken was soooo flavorful and juicy! I loved the cabbage on bottom, but grab it quick because it will get burnt! (See video!) we got the kadai chicken medium spice and we overestimated ourselves haha tasty but too spicy for us (We have lower tolerances to spice) so we will go with mild next time, chicken still flavorful and tender. To help with the spice my bf got a mango lassi, worked like a charm, it was well balanced, tasted fresh, and not too sweet. My friend and I were looking for a quick takeout option after an event in the area and landed on Panchakattu. Panchakattu is located in a big shopping strip with plenty of parking. The interior is pretty spacious and has a nice waiting area. Service was fast and friendly. I ordered the following: Paneer Tikka Masala $14.99 Garlic Naan $3.99 The paneer tikka masala came with grilled paneer cubes in a creamy tomato-based sauce. It was rich and flavorful. It also came with a side of rice which was nice. The garlic naan was soft, fluffy, and the perfect accompaniment to the tikka masala. It had plenty of garlic which I love. Prices were reasonable. Was looking for a quick takeout option, later in the evening and I nothing slaps quite like Indian takeout. As we were so close we opted to order at the restaurant. Which was super easy and they had a nice waiting area. We snagged some chicken tikka masala, medium heat, butter chicken and their garlic naan as well as their space naan option. Both main dishes came with some rice as well. I really enjoyed my tikka masala, the butter chicken was good, not great. I do feel both were a little low on protein and definitely could have came with a bit more chicken. The naan was delicious and the spicy definitely has a kick. Overall we thought the food was very good but the service wasn't great, which knocked it down a star. We ordered some American favorites --butter chicken, paneer tikka masala, garlic naan, samosas, and chicken 65. The flavors were good, but I was really blown away by the chicken dishes. At many Indian restaurants, the chicken is just ok and can be tough. The chicken here was so tender I thought it was paneer for a second! I really loved the chicken in the chicken 65 and the butter chicken, and hope they keep it up! Now onto the service...from the moment we walked in, there was only one other table and several employees. They weren't overly friendly and there were some dining hiccups throughout the meal. When we were seated, we were given one menu for two people and they never took the menu back once we ordered. We also had to ask for a side of green chutney to accompany our samosas, and when the waitress brought it over she spilled half of it on the table and never came back with extra napkins or to help clean it up. The chicken 65 starter arrived at the end of the meal and the waitress didn't acknowledge it, and no one checked up on us after our food arrived to see if we needed anything like water refills. My favorite South Indian restaurant in Chandler! The place itself is pretty spacious and there are plenty of parking spots. Got to try their plain dosa and pepper chicken. Their dosa was crispy, huge, and I could taste Ghee, it was so good. And chutneys came with dosa was so good. Every single chutney was packed with flavors! And surprisingly, their price is good, as I've seen some places selling plain and smaller dosa for 12-13 bucks, yet their price is so much reasonable. Pepper chicken was good, it was flavorful, but to be honest, their dosa is just the bomb. And chai was sooo good, I've tried chai at here and there, but chai here tasted just like how my Indian friend would make it for me at home. We've never tried Indian food and this place was close by so we decided to give it a try. We got there at 5:00 pm and by the time we left at 6:00 pm, no one else had showed up. The menu is not descriptive at all, so I decided to google the food before we left. The service was slow, our waiter didn't come by once to check on us. The food came out about 5 minutes apart for all 3 of us so we decided to wait to eat until we were all served. I ordered a rice dish with chicken and there were 2 tiny chicken legs and one thigh buried under a mountain of rice. I'm not sure if that's how Indian food is served, but I found it odd. This new Indian restaurant is located At the previous Thai place, it's easy to find and at the right location. The ambiance is decent, nothing out of ordinary. We were welcomed and seated. The service is rather slow for a Friday afternoon, it took a while for them to take the order. We ordered karvepaku chicken, panchakattu chicken fry, panchakattu gobi fry, podi dosa and biryani. My Favorite Indian Food in all Chandler(and all Arizona too!). Everything is fresh and so tasty. I recommend the Biryani, I regularly get the Chicken Dum one but the Goat one is also really good (If you like Goat). Wash it down with a Salted Lassi. I really like this place! I went there mid-week with the wife and a friend. The restaurant is very new - nice decor. We had a samosa starter, shared a couple of dishes - Paneer Tikka Masala and mixed Veg Kurma. Both main dishes very tasty. Also finished up sharing some mango Kulfi. Next time I might try one of the Panchakattu curry, but my wife likes very mild curries - so had to avoid them for now. Let me start by saying this place has the potential to be an easy 5 stars across the board. The food is absolutely the best Indian food that I've ever had. The serving plates and bowls are beautiful, and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. It was our first time in and it will definitely not be our last. There are many Indian restaurants nearby but none of them come close to this one in flavor, portions, or price. I am rooting for this place to become a big success. My hope is with a few improvements, that can be possible. The service was very slow with multiple folks doing multiple jobs. It felt like no one was assigned to certain sections or jobs, and this resulted in delays and confusion. Our water needed refilled after our appetizer and was never refilled for the entire meal. Once we were done with our meal, several people walked by and a few stopped to ask how things were, but none acknowledged we were done or needed the bill. In the end, we had to flag someone down to get to go boxes and then another person to pay. There was a very nice gentleman who seemed to be the owner or manager, you were absolutely wonderful. Definitely give this place a chance because the food is fantastic! This place is fairly new and it does take time to hit your stride. Maybe just give yourself some extra time in case service is slow. One other comment is that some ambient music would be wonderful. We had the samosa chaat, chicken saag, and the Panachakattu Karam Chicken Biryani. We also had chai which was so rich and delicious as is, it didn't need sweeteners. I cannot stress how delicious all of these items are. It is hard to find a good Indian restaurant in Tempe, but this restaurant is pretty nice. My family came in for a Mother's Day dinner. The curries we ordered (egg and chicken) were tasty and I'm glad they didn't add unnecessary amounts of butter and oil. The biryani had good flavor as well. What I liked the most is how everything we ordered tasted authentic and home-y. I think this is a perfect place for anyone who wants to try real Indian food or for any Indians who might be missing their mom's food back home. read more

I often travel from North Phoenix in search of great Indian-style food, and during one of my visits, I came across this restaurant. Since then, I've returned many times, drawn by the freshness and rich flavors of their dishes. Their South Indian tiffins--especially punugulu and dosa--are fantastic, paired with chutneys that taste good. It's clear that everything is prepared fresh, without relying on refrigerated ingredients. The heart of this place lies in its chicken curries/kebabs, and dal all crafted with care and authenticity. We had a really disappointing experience here. Our food took an entire hour to arrive, and in that time, not once did anyone check in on us or offer an update. We were given water within the first five minutes of being seated, and that was the extent of the service until we started asking about our order. After multiple "just 5 more minutes" responses, we finally got our food--naans and the Panchakattu special mutton curry. For $16, we received four mutton pieces, three of which were just bones with no meat. Basically, we paid for nothing. When the bill arrived, the server casually mentioned they had a huge order before ours, which caused the delay. So? It's the weekend--shouldn't you be prepared for a rush? At the very least, communicate with your customers! We weren't the only ones affected; a family at the next table also received their food extremely late and ended up packing it to-go because they just gave up. This place can do so much better. A little courtesy and better preparation would go a long way. read more

Tried the morning breakfast. Great quality and good quantities as well. Loved seeing a south Indian breakfast option in Chandler. Responsive service and cricket and Indian movie songs on the big screen TV too card of the ambience as well. Sadly the Indian coffee was not filter coffee but instant coffee but the Indian tea was definitely chai and not the fake Starbucks version. Their Indian breakfast is open over the weekends 8-11 AM. Good flavor but "where's the meat"? They are a bit stingy on the protein. The chicken biryani had two pieces of chicken buried under all the rice. The lamb and chicken vindaloo was all sauce and 5-6 pieces of protein. For the price, they could afford to add more meat to the dishes. read more

Wow. Try the fish tava fry. The flavor was unbelievable. The fish cooked to perfection. I never thought I liked tilapia until now. We got prawn Malabar curry and tandoori pomphret fish as well.
