    Lunch with Paneer Biryani
    Mike F.

I have been to Bawarchi Biryanis a few times with co-workers and each time the food has been good. I'm no expert on Indian food but luckily my co-workers are and they like the food here. It is a chain and there's lots of locations around the US and other countries While the food is good, the service has been a little hit-or-miss. I have only been here for lunch and I've only seen maybe three other tables so not super packed. The bar area also appears to be just a storage area for some random equipment. That's just a nit-picky detail tho. I'm sure I will be back!

Wow! First time eating Indian food. It was amazing! Shrimp Biryani was a taste delight. The Veg Curry was very different from any curry I have tasted as o normally don't like curries. Service was great. Will definitely stop here again!

I was excited to see so many 5 star reviews about this place, so I came in with very high expectations. Honestly was not as impressed as I had hoped. Food came out pretty fast, amount of servers seemed to be limited though. The garlic naan was good, but you were hit pretty hard with an overpowering amount of garlic. Butter chicken was the best dish we ordered, but definitely not the best butter chicken I've ever had. This was my first time having biryani and it was more dry than I was expecting. The yogurt sauce did not have much flavor, unfortunately. The vegetable samosas were decent. Overall, nothing too amazing, but was not bad.

    Chicken Tikka Masala !!!!!

Chicken is very very very dry , spring rolls come with nasty hot sauce not sweet and sour , Place is awful Called to talk about it and she says "I made the chicken this morning I don't think it's dry "

Only reason I gave this place a second star is the food is great. Customer service and time to wait for to go orders is horrendous. We have been ordering take out from here for 5 years, but the last three times have been so bad, it's time to move on. Tonight was the last straw, the photo shows how many people were waiting for to go orders that were promised minimum 20min earlier which is not the norm, or hasn't been. Last time I was here I left my name and number and asked for a manager to call me. No call, but I decided to give it a chance. Hate to move on, but my money can be spent better elsewhere. Edit: I ended up waiting 45min and never got food. I gave up and asked for a refund. There was a little resistance, but I got it. I will never spend money here nor recommend it

Dry tandoori chicken. Looks like cooked too much.
    Abhishek S.

Did a take out of Tandoori chicken and a naan for the first time. Chicken was dry from inside and naan was super dry like a papad. Had to throw it away. Also, they don't give onions and lime, an integral part of tandoori chicken unless you ask for it. Only people from different ethnicities were dining there, didn't look like anyone was from India. Taste and texture of food explains why is that. Well, won't recommend this place as food is not upto the mark.

Baby cockroach in my food Also, it was supposed to be Dum Biryani, not CLUMP biryani. A $4 biryani, sold for $17. It's the third time in a row that this has happened. Clumps of curry paste at the bottom of the box and barely any meat. Not worth the money at all. The quality has significantly gone down since they first opened couple years back.

Went here again over the weekend and this time got the chicken marsala which was!!! The Chicken was easy to chew n swallow and this dish had the perfect amount of spices. I pieced mild and this time it was actually mild but still had a small kick of spice but was perfect!!! The rice was perfectly steamed. I'll be getting it again! This time, the staff were great!!! Very friendly and kind. Moneyey came to my immediate attention when I arrived to pick up the order to go. The guy at the cash register was having a hard time keeping up in fact one guy paid online while waiting and then walked out with his food! ALLEDGLY paid online! Anyway, I'll return again and again unless things change.

Incredibly horrid smell hits you as soon as entering the restaurant. Smell a combination of wet laundry clothes, sewage, and dirty mats.

This is restaurant week in the area from 5/15/26 to 5/24/26. We had the prix fix menu and it was outstanding as usual. The atmosphere definitely says Fine Dining. The service is excellent and our server, Angelica, was no exception to the many great servers we have met over the years. Her passionate input on our selections was extremely helpful. They have a full bar. On this trip, the $44 steal of a price included 3 courses and a side of rice or naan. We started with the Bhelpuri Avocado which is like a mix of puffed rice and avocado. The contrast of the crispy rice and flavorful and creamy avocado was a server suggestion and I am thrilled she did. The table next to us was also vocally registering their excitement with the dish. My wife went with the Parsi Lamb Keema which is like having the popular street food, Pav Bahji with a fantastically flavorful lamb stew with just the right amount of heat, served with buns like sliders. For the main courses we had the ever popular and best ever Butter Chicken made even more enjoyable with a dip of the Garlic Naan made fresh in house to order. Super tender naan. I went with the other server suggestion of Fish Curry which was an incredible mix of very crisp exterior yet moist interior sea bass swimming in a delicious curry. Never ordered before but again, thank you Angelica. Finally desert was the Gulab Jamon Cheesecake. Unique and very tasty ending to a fantastic meal. Even if you missed restaurant week, this is a must visit place for foodies.

To start, the prawn ghee roast is a nice pile of perfectly cooked shrimp on a thin uttapam pancake that was perfect for soaking up the seasoning. Loved all the flavors and textures in the beetroot tikki chaat and would def order this one again. For mains, we went with fish curry and charred corn dumplings. Both came with really great sauces. I would definitely order the Punjabi chickpeas with chunks of cheese- they were amazing. Cumin rice was perfectly cooked and the garlic naan is the best version I've had in town- so light, definitely get both. I was too full for dinner, but if you like gulab jamun, there's a creative cheesecake twist on the traditional dessert. And a fun popsicle if you like candied fennel seeds and rose petals. Lots more on the menu I want to try next visit. Dishes are pretty, prices are reasonable and the staff at the bar was really personable. Recommend!

THE BEST chaat I've had in the states…read more I have not had a single dish here that I have not been absolutely blown away by. We started coming here after our previous Indian spot closed down (RIP buzzing cuisine) and I cannot overstate how good this food was. The service was incredibly fast and the staff are very kind, and it's actually a pretty large place seating-wise. As others have said, I also asked for recommendations and the advice I got was super solid (mostly trying to gauge their spice level). It's $7 for a samosa chaat. In this economy. I have gone there on my lunch break to just grab a cheap bite 3+ times at this point and we have had 3 dinners from here as well. Aside from the pricing, the food itself takes risks that pay off extremely well. I often find myself going to Indian spots in AZ and feeling like the flavors have been muted or toned down to be more palatable and enjoyable for all audiences. Chaat Express does not cater to the unseasoned tongue and everything you get here is bursting with amazing, authentic combinations of herbs and spices. The flavors are just indescribably good. When BOTH of a samosa's chutney sauces are delicious (and especially when the red sauce is not overly-sweet), you know you are in for a treat. Their curries are made with the same ideology: bold, flavor-forward, and delicious. In addition, their meats are always bafflingly tender. Whether you get their goat or chicken, it will be cooked perfectly. If you're not a meat-eater, their paneer is also great and the texture is exactly what you would want to expect. I've also had their lassi, rice, and naan. I really like the way they do their naan. It's buttery but not overly-buttered, and always very fresh. Their mango lassi is also perfectly sweet with just enough of a hint of that tanginess that it stands out on its own. And again, for $4 you cannot beat that value. TLDR: this place NEEDS to do well or I will lose my mind. please come here. i am begging you to not let this place flop

The food was pretty good here, however, I was severely annoyed with the waitress who wasn't really trying to service her customers but wanted to argue for most of the experience here so hence the two stars. Read on to see why I gave a lower rating than I normally would. Since this place is called Tap N Tikka, they had a nice selection of draft beers and I was impressed with their menu, which was on a digital board. The waitress tried to sell me on an Indian brewed beer (for example, Taj) and I just wasnt in the mood for one. Ive been to India several times and have had some of their beers in country. I asked for the Roses by the Stairs Czech Pale Ale and she didnt know if they had it. So I then said, if you dont have Roses by the Stairs, I'll take a Schoner Tag, which is a wheat style Hefeweizen. She then brought me the Schoner Tag, which was a very good beer. Next, we told her we weren't too hungry and mainly wanted to snack on some items and this is where she was being quite annoying. I mentioned the chaat on their menu and thought maybe these would be small bites as these are considered roadside snacks in India, but then she had to tell me oh no they are big portions, so I am like ok... I then saw kati rolls on the menu and thought we could get these and she says oh they are like big burritos, so then I said, well we could cut them in half and share it, but she seemed to think oh they are too big. OK, so after discussing the appetizer menu and couldnt seem to land on much, we now move onto entrees. She then suggests we share a dish, which we were both fine with. She initially suggested Reshmi chicken and said it had a creamy sauce, so we agreed. So, when we finally order the Reshmi chicken, I also asked for a garlic naan to soak up the sauce with and then waitress says oh its not too saucy. So, at this point, I am like whatever lady, can we just order here as you're not being helpful?? Then, she says oh popular dishes here are chicken tikka masala, butter chicken and also bhuna chicken. She said bhuna chicken was her favorite and better than the other two and had a sauce to it, so we finally agreed on this. When the chicken arrived, it came with rice and also we ordered the garlic naan too. The chicken was very good and flavorful, but I doubt it was bhuna chicken as it was a lot more saucy than how bhuna chicken is normally cooked. Bhuna chicken is normally more dry, so I dont know what this waitress is talking about. Garlic naan was so-so and I have had much better elsewhere and for $4.95 a piece, not worth it. I didnt eat much as I was headed to another meal, but did have a bite of chicken for taste and had one piece of naan. We had leftovers and she brought two take away containers. I asked for another container and she wanted to argue about this too. At this point, I just wanted to get out of here. I was like, lady, can you stop arguing with me? The food here was good, but the service was severely ruined by a waitress that didnt know what she was talking about and kept arguing. I thoroughly did not enjoy this experience. And on my receipt, the order was rung up as Butter Chicken and not Bhuna Chicken. With so much competition now (and so hard to earn a dollar and with skyrocketing inflation) and with plenty of other good Indian restaurants around, needles to say, Tap N Tikka, you lost my business and I wont be coming back, thanks to your rude and not knowledgeable waitress.
