Atmosphere 5/5 Flavors of India has a small inside L-shaped dining room with 6 or so tables for inside seating. It has nice cultural touches providing a comfortable atmosphere. There are tables outside on the patio which would be a nice dining option as our seasons permit. Service 10/5 My dearest Seema is a wonderful and gracious host for the many years we've known her. She has a kind spirit and is the gold standard of attentive and always willing to discuss the menu, ingredients to assist you in making your dinner selections. Her service staff are always friendly. Service is a strong point during your visit! Food 5/5 All the culinary flavors of India awaits you, from Tandoori and naans, Samosas, Bhaji, Panneer, Pakoras, Clay oven delight Kebab's, Marsala's, Curries and a couple of new menu items. As someone who spent years in the Bay Area -- one of the nation's true foodie capitals for Indian cuisine -- I've had the pleasure of experiencing countless incredible Indian restaurants throughout Northern California before relocating to Arizona. So when I say this place is the best, that means something. After 8 years of exploring Indian restaurants all across the Valley -- Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa -- Flavors of India consistently stands out above the rest. As a vegetarian, bold and complex flavors are everything to me. Without meat, you really need a kitchen that knows how to layer spices and build depth, and this place delivers every single time. The food is fresh, the flavors are rich and satisfying, the customer service is warm and attentive, and the prices are absolutely fair for the quality you're getting. Right when we walked in we were warmly greeted and seated right away. We looked at the menu while they grabbed our waters. We ordered buttered naan, Chicken Korma and Chicken Tikka Masala. Everything was delicious. The kids were a little hesitant to eat because it wasn't exactly the type of food they were looking forward to. Within a minute or two the smells took over and they were asking for a little of this and a little of that and then going back for seconds. This is hands-down our favorite spot to bring fellow foodies--or anyone visiting from out of town! The quality here is exceptional, and somehow they deliver it with impressive speed every single time. The owners and staff create such a warm, welcoming atmosphere that it genuinely feels like you're being hosted by family. The space itself is cozy and quaint, but don't let that fool you--they are incredibly accommodating. We've visited many times, and even with a group of six on our last visit, they made it work seamlessly! One of the biggest wins for me is that nearly everything is gluten-free (minus their apparently irresistible garlic naan... which I'm still tempted by!). Our go-to dishes are the Chicken Tikka Masala, Mango Chicken, and Yellow Dahl--each one bursting with flavor. We usually order at least a level 3 spice, but if you love heat, level 5 is absolutely within reach (and worth it!). This time, we branched out and tried the Lamb Korma--and wow, it was phenomenal. I think I just found my new favorite. Was recommended this spot as we've been trying to find a good Indian food restaurant and after some attempts we finally came across this gem. Right off the bat we were greeted with friendly staff. We were served fresh food and it was all delicious. I ordered chicken tikka masala, chicken mango, garlic naaan, mango lassi, and onion bahji. A typical order for someone less experienced in Indian cuisine I am aware, but I felt it was delicious. Very flavorful all around and very large servings. I really didn't need it because the glaze on the chicken/shrimp was just delicious!!! I ordered spice level 2-3 and it barely made a difference so if you can tolerate spice go 3 or above!! So I can thank my husband for stumbling on this gem! Usually my rule is NOT to try places below 4.5 (unless there's a strong recommendation from someone I trust . Honestly, the location and exterior wouldn't draw me either.. But what a hidden treasure! Staff was ultra pleasant and very attentive. There's very little seating but if your patient is worth it. Business seems to thrive and flow quickly for pick up and delivery orders so we might try that as well. We have been wanting to try this place out and so happy we finally did!! The food was excellent here!! There are so many options, we will definitely be back to try out more items on the menu. My favorite were the Chicken Makhani (Butter Chicken), Tandoori chicken, garlic naan, and the Puri! The Makhani was made perfectly! We did a 4/10 spice so it was very mild and can go up more next time. Tandoori Chicken was sauced so well and juicy. Puri I had for the first time and it was very yummy with the curries. Lamb Vindaloo was good if you love lamb and the chicken pakoras were meaty and delicious. I would highly recommend this place! Service was excellent! There were not many tables inside for seating. Quantity was good. The appetizer was under cooked, the chicken was good but sugary, the fish was below average but listed on the menu as 'chef's specialty' . We looked over the menu and decided on: 1 CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA - White meat chicken cooked in the clay oven and simmered in creamy tomato sauce. 1 CHICKEN TIKKA SALAD Boneless white chicken roasted in tandoor and served with fresh salad and raita dressing 1 GARLIC NAAN Leavened bread of all-purpose flour with a touch of garlic and cilantro 1 TANDOORI/BUTTER NAAN Leavened bread of all-purpose flour topped off with melted butter. 2 White Rices 1 SHAHI KULFI Indian homemade ice cream, flavored with almonds & pistachios The food was delicious and every dish tasted great. Everything came out hot, flavorful, and was made with love, props to the chef! The naan was also very good and it had a nice warm crisp to it. Service was great as we were checked up on several times. My drink and water were both refilled. The ice cream was delicious but portion wise though, not worth the $4.99 price. We've been to Flavors of India a few times now and have been pretty happy with our meal choices! This restaurant is very small, with only a few tables. If you're dining on a weekend night (maybe weekdays too), it's pretty likely that you'll have a longer wait time. We've opted to do takeout most times but my husband and I did dine in once. We've gotten the traditional dishes including paneer tikka masala, chicken korma, shahi paneer, and biryani. No disappointments yet. I usually opt for mild and it's pretty perfect for me, the rest of my family prefers the medium spice level since it has a kick but isn't overly spicy. Overall, worth the stop in! They have online ordering available and they send you texts messages with info on when the order is ready. Everyone has been friendly when I've gone in too. read more

I have had lots of Indian food as I really enjoy it. Different regions of India have different food as well, so I went in with a very open mind. Flavors of India is VERY average. It's not bad by any means, but I have had better. Unfortunately, it is extremely expensive for Indian food. We were shocked at the prices, but I just assumed it would be more high end. They charge $3.95 for a side of rice. They didn't specify that the meal comes with rice so we paid extra. But $3.95 was unbelievable. My husband ordered $5.00 ice cream and it came in a side sauce sized container. Their chicken tikka (mild) was sweet and their chicken makhani tastes very similar to the tikka, which it doesn't at other restaurants. We got the food delivered to our house and it was still hot when it got here so I know it was fresh! I would not go here again as there are far better options in the valley. read more

Tried Flavors of India through UberEats and it was as flavorful like their name says! We ordered the garlic naan, palak paneer, chicken makhani (butter chicken), shrimp tikka masala, and gobi manchurian. Everything was pretty good, especially enjoyed the chicken makhani, super flavorful. The shrimp tikka masala was quite similar so I probably wouldn't get both together again. Palak paneer as expected. Gobi manchurian was too saucy and salty for us, I barely felt any cauliflower textures and it was pretty mushy. There are other spots that do it closer to our preference. Would return if I'm in the area! Overall solid spot. read more

Ordered the Naan Garlic Bread, the Curry Chicken, Chicken Makhani & White Basmati Rice. EVERYTHING was so satisfying & just the right amount of spice. The standout for us was the Chicken Makhani and paired perfectly with either the rice or dipping that amazing bread along with it. The staff was very friendly. Looks to be a family owed and operated business & LOVE supporting places such as this. This is a must do experience if you like Indian Food. 6/1/24: three weeks late posting this but the experience still resonates. It was wonderful: the food, the service, the drinks, all of it. We will definitely hit up Flavors of India again. That was the short version. The longer version is this: this particular Saturday we arrived about 10 minutes before opening. As we waited, two people walked in (staff), then a couple drove up. As they passed us, the woman asked us how many & said she'd set the table up for us. A few minutes later, a staff member popped out the door & told us the table was ready. CAUTION: it is a small restaurant. I counted 12 seats, all two-seater tables. This would explain the high traffic for take out - a lot of people came & went. Also, yes, you do have to order a side of rice (it does not come with the meal). No lie, everything we ate was superb. The dream started with their mango lassi and ended with the rice pudding. In between those delicious dishes, there was a mixed bread basket (it was huge! -- and I would go back just for the naan); some vegetable samosas, a plate of paneer pakora; the meals were a lamb dish and the chicken korma; the finale was mango pudding, as well as the rice pudding. Because of all the appetizers and the amount of food for the entree, I had chicken korma for lunch for four days. It is a lot of food, well worth the price. The decor was cool to look at and the service was fast, as well as super friendly. The 25 mile, 40 minute drive was well worth it, and will gladly be driven again. read more

Flavors of India came highly recommended. I took this recommendation with a grain of salt but with convincing, we made the 45 minute drive to Gilbert to give it a try on a Saturday night. The restaurant is small, there are about 6 to 7 tables, and a line out the door. Uber and grub hub seem orders are hot, pick ups appeared to come every minute. The restaurant closes at 830, so PRO tip: get there by at least 630 if you plan to dine in on a weekend. We shared apps between 4: samosas, paneer bakora, and vegetable bakora. My favorite was the paneer although it was lightly fried. For my main, I ordered the Paleek Masala. A pure celebration for my eyes, nose, and taste buds, it was absolutely delicious. The flavour and combination spices left me amazed. Each member of my group agreed this was a 5 star meal and well worth the drive. read more

My wife and I came here on a Monday at 4:30 PM, right when it opens. I recommend you do the same as there is limited seating (four tables of two, one table of four). There are 6 picnic tables out front if it does fill up inside. We weren't expecting the complimentary appetizer, papadums. It's a crispy flatbread served with dipping sauce, one was sweet and the other was spicy. We ordered Paneer Masala, Sag Lamb, Chicken Curry. My favorite was the Paneer Masala, cheese cubes in a smooth and creamy tomato sauce. Need more veggie in your diet? Get the Sag Lamb, tender lamb in a tasty spinach sauce. The Chicken Curry did not disappoint! Delicious and reasonably priced! I had a girl's night out at Flavors of India and loved loved loved the food and Mango Lassi. We started out the evening with a round of samosas which really hit the spot for me. They were a generous size! Then we each ordered our main dishes. For 4 ladies, the server was able to make a recommendation on how many sides of rice to order and she was spot on. I ordered the Chicken Tiki Masala which was delicious and just the right amount of spicy. I ended up loving the Paneer Masala that my friend ordered even more! Plus you can not go wrong with the Garlic Naan. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Space is limited at this restaurant. It has 4 tables total! Mostly a takeout kind of place.
