We went here for a group lunch but I wouldn't recommend or return to it because I didn't really enjoy the food. We ended up ordering the Thal which allows one to pick 2 entrees and came with nann and rice. The rice was really spicy. The palak paneer couldn't compare to the saag paneer I get at my favorite Indian spot back at home. The fried cauliflower was really Deep fried and had no sticky, sweet sauce. I didn't even eat most of the thal. The server forgot I ordered tea and never served it to me. I ordered a mango lassi instead and it was pretty good as our food took a long time to come out. My actual rating is -1 if that was possible There are times in your life when you have such an amazing experience or a very horrifying experience that compels you to write a review In my case unfortunately it is the latter one. I wish there was a way to give it zero or -1 stars. Your first experience with a restaurant is when you talk to the front desk or call them over the phone for an order. I have ordered from this place multiple times both in person and over the phone often times under 30 minutes of their closure and they have been delightful to accept and give a great service. However, I was astounded to receive the rudest experience on phone this time from Piyush or Peeyush over the phone. Here are my problems with it: 1) This is the first time I called over 4 times and was received only once. 2) The guy would not take my order on the phone although I called at 9.19 pm (the store closes at 10 pm). I insisted that I had called them earlier multiple times even after 9.30 3) I even told him that I was a mere 5 mins away and driving on my way but he would not take my order and pressed me that the order needs to be paid or done online and can only be done at the counter. The restaurant has been great on all previous occasions and I have taken many of my Indian and American friends but this experience has left a sour taste in my mouth and the restaurant has not just lost me but at least five of my friends as their customers The restaurant said that they route their call to India - I hope they publish a USA number on Google in the future so that we can contact them directly. Let me start off by saying... the food was good! I tried the Chicken Combo, which was really a good deal for $20. I selected the Butter Chicken, Chicken 65, and Garlic Naan. I haven't had a lot of Indian food before, so I picked popular items. Everything was seasoned really well and it was very flavorful. I ordered PickUp through their online website, which was super easy. They were very friendly when I went inside. I did end up grabbing a cold canned soda for $2 on my way back out. I noticed they had a bar too and the restaurant was clean. There's also plenty of parking. Hopefully the next time I go, I'll be able to dine in and get the full experience. I was craving biryani for quite a while so I had to check this place out and I'm so glad I did. The interior of the restaurant was very spacious and clean and there's more than enough parking. The location of the restaurant is also really nice. The place was really empty when I went with my friend, even though it should've been peak dinner hour, but I did see a lot of to-go orders. The biryani did take a little longer than expected to come out, especially if it's not being made to order but honestly it was worth the wait. I got a goat biryani spicy level. The bowl they gave was gigantic, I could barely eat half of it so for the price, it was totally worth it because it was enough for two meals. The spice level was perfect, if it was any spicier it wouldn't have been enjoyable. The goat was pretty juicy and the rice was super fluffy. I think they gave a decent amount of goat too. I loved the raita. They also gave some peanut sauce that was spicy but I wasn't the biggest fan. Overall, the biryani was juicy and tasty and fluffy and satisfied my craving. I think the onions should be cut smaller though, the pieces were huge and I think more lime should also be given. I'm looking forward to having the leftovers though! read more

We parked in front of the building on this huge parking lot. The restaurant is in a strip mall with another restaurant. You smell the flavors of the food as you approach. We were greeted immediately and the lady was very helpful with explaining different dishes. We ordered butter chicken, lamb chops, and chicken 555. Total came to $62. The lamb chops and chicken 555 were pretty good. The butter chicken was good too but different than another Indian restaurant I've tried. We ordered to go and when we got back to our hotel, we realized we were given NO silver for our $62 worth of food. Big bummer. Our food was steaming hot and there was almost no wait before we received our appetizers and food items. We also enjoyed the Chicken 999 appetizer (which was delicious and slightly spicy). Biryani's Place is my #1 GoTo Place for Indian Food. My first experience was for take out, but even with take out the food is just out of this world! Especially their Garlic naan and Butter Chicken. Their time of cooking and having the food ready before I get there is spot on every single time and the consistency of their food is the same each time. Enjoyed a good Saturday lunch here today! This is still a relatively new restaurant, and I think it has a lot of potential to do well, especially after the pandemic is over and they can move forward with some of their future plans. Biryani's Place is located at the end of a row of businesses in Sandy Springs just north of the intersection of Hammond and Peachtree Dunwoody. Free parking is always available in the large parking lot shared by all the businesses. When we walked in, we were met with the aromatic Indian spices smell that gave a hint of the delicious food awaiting us. Employees wear face masks, but one of them wasn't wearing it properly until R indicated for him to cover his nose with the mask, which the employee did. I looked around, and the restaurant is medium sized, with six or seven booths, two tables for two people each, and more tables pushed together that would accommodate four groups of eight people. There is a bar area with tall stools at the back of the restaurant, and it looks like they may have some beers on tap. R and I dined in and sat in one of the booths because there was only one other booth with customers, and we were easily able to social distance. There is also a nice fenced off patio space that I hope they will be able to use in the near future, but that area isn't set up for customers yet. While we were in the restaurant, I noticed that other customers came in and picked up their take out orders that they had placed via telephone earlier. While reading through their menu, I found out that there were some specials, including family meals, that were available only for takeout. Other than the chicken tikka masala dish, I honestly haven't tried that many Indian dishes. Today, I decided to try something different that I hadn't had before, but it took me a while to decide because the menu is pretty extensive (see my posted pics). Our server came by and was very patient with us because we had a lot of questions regarding the food and the menu. R ordered the chicken tikka masala entree and I ordered the Kadai chicken entree. Both each came with a bowl of basmati rice. After taking our order the employee brought us glasses of water and a glass water bottle for refills. After waiting about 15 to 20 minutes, we got our food. Our bowls containing the entrees looked deceivingly small, but Biryani's Place actually packs the food into those bowls! R and I shared our entrees. I first tried the chicken tikka masala. It was supposed to be with a medium heat level, but I didn't notice any heat at all. It did have a delicious taste, and a creamy consistency. I then tried the Kadai chicken, which was supposed to be medium spicy, and (according to the menu) have onions and bell peppers. I didn't notice any onions or bell peppers, but there were potatoes in it, and the spicy heat level of the Kadai chicken was a lot hotter than the chicken tikka masala. I loved the Kadai chicken! The chicken was tender and had lots of flavor. I couldn't get enough of the flavor fast enough, so I kept dipping my naan bread into the sauce! Oh, so good! The shared entrees were more than enough for the both of us, so leftovers left with us, and I'll probably be eating them soon! If you like naan bread, I recommend that you get the Bread Basket, where you can currently get any three breads for $5.99, which is a good deal! Fyi, the menu shows that family meals are available, but they're available only for take out. Parking always available, nice and friendly employees and delicious flavorful food made this a good dining experience. read more

Although I was skeptical to try this spot due to not many reviews or pics on Yelp or google, I'm glad I did! We got 3 dishes togo-- samosa chaat, chicken 65, and chicken biryani. Everything was really good and comparably priced. We usually get food from Hyderabad house but it was closed, so tried biryani place and it was pretty comparable. Portion size was good. The place was neat and clean. Would like to dine in once covid nonsense calms down. Now for the food-- probably the one of the best samosa chaat I've had in the Atlanta metro area. It was full of ingredients outside of samosa, lots of chutneys, very flavorful tastes. The chicken 65 was also one of the better ones I've found around here, a bit on the salty side for me (my bf didn't think so though). It was served with raita (yogurt sauce), which I also found kind of salty. Nonetheless, both pretty good. And the chicken biryani was decent-- nothing over the top though, as that's hard to find outside your mom's house, but good enough that I would get it again. It was served with a brown sauce, which seems typical to be served at Indian restaurants (not paki restos though). Food was ready on time and accurate. An absolute must try if you are in the area. We tried many things from the menu and everything was 10/10. The butter chicken was absolutely the best I've ever had! Naan was baked to perfection and the Cheese Dal.....omg. Literally amazing. We opted for mild and medium spiced dishes and were able to eat everything. The sensitive mouths could not handle the medium but were fine with the mild. I don't remember the name of our appetizer chicken but again it was 10/10. We were here with our 17 and 20 year old kids who declared it the best meal they've had here so far. The portions are very very large. Easily will feed two even three people. The service is great, everyone is always nice, friendly and prompt. I love the music but I would prefer no tvs or screens while dining.
