This place is one of my favorite restaurants located in Dunwoody area. Most of the times we had a to-go from here but they do have tables and chairs to have dine-in. The ambiance is so nice with an Indian touch. The staff and service is very helpful. Coming to the food, we have tried couple of items from their menu like Chicken 555 appetizer and Chicken Biryani. Both tasted yummy, good portions, and very consistent. I highly recommended this place to anyone to give a try.

    Hmm

Food was mid, but personality, attitude and customer service was by Padma Ji. It is forcing me to put 85 characters minimum kindly look into this kind of behavior thank you

The menu is huge, which is great for variety, but also a bit overwhelming on the first visit. We tried a mix of dishes like the evening Pani Puri, Onion Pakoda and Masala Tea were flavorful and tasty. The best I have had for a while, balance in spice and seasoning. The chaat and snacks were fresh and enjoyable, and everything came out hot. Service was friendly, Prices felt reasonable for the area and portion sizes were fair. Desi District Dunwoody is located at 4784 Ashford Dunwoody Rd, Dunwoody, GA 30338, and typically operates with long daily hours and free parking in the shared lot. Accessible parking spaces are available near the entrance. Overall, it's a nice option in Dunwoody when you're craving Indian street‑style food, and I would come back to try a few different dishes next time.

It's one of those…read morerestaurants that has an intimidating large sized menu to glance over, but I'm happy that I took a chance with a few snacks and appetizers initially. The Mysore Bonda has officially become a new favorite savory culinary treat of mines (especially with the dipping sauces that they give you). I also quite enjoyed both the chicken and veggie puff (pretty sure I can eat a whole basket full of those if my stomach permitted). The Mixed Tandoori Platter was great, but I do wish that I knew what was in it. Some of those variety items were pretty tasty and it's a shame that I have no idea what they're called by themselves on the menu. As for everything else, I'd say check out the pictures and the ratings that I gave for each item that I've tried. Hopefully I get to revisit this restaurant in the future (got a long list of menu items that I wanna try).

Sankranti Indian Kitchen is a fast, casual eatery serving kathi rolls, curry bowls, tandoor kabobs, biryanis and other traditional Indian dishes that celebrates life and family. They have service options like, has out-door seating, serves vegan dishes and has Wi-Fi. The restaurant is incredibly neat, clean and features a unique Chipotle-style theme for Indian food. It is unlike any other traditional Indian restaurant. Here you can mix and match your meal with great customizable options. The menu is simple yet flavorful, and the prices are very reasonable and affordable. Did a quick pickup order here on the weekend. I ordered for a Chicken Biryani and a Mutton Biryani which comes with yogurt sauce or raitha on side, perfect with biryani, as a dressing, or to cool off any dish. Both were incredible in taste and yummy. Also had a bowl of Chicken 65 snack which was really tasty and perfectly spiced. The concept of quick service paired with authentic Indian flavors is refreshing, and it is perfect for families and friends. They have great vegetarian and vegan options and the service was wonderful. The hostess Divya is very friendly and makes you feel right at ease. It likely won't be as good as a sit down and dine restaurant for some, but perfect for a quick grab and go. Parking is located inside or beneath the huge State Farm building facing Hammond Street. The first 2 hours is free, afterwards there is a charge for parking. If you are in the Atlanta area, I would highly recommend giving Sankranti Indian Kitchen a try. You won't be disappointed.

Delicious Bangladeshi food!!!…read more I've tried the Chicken Tikka Masala ($17), Chicken 65 ($10), and garlic naan ($5), onion pakora ($8) and everything was so delicious. The Chicken 65 is super spicy, flavorful, and honestly so addictive--I definitely recommend trying it if you like heat. The Chicken Tikka Masala is exactly how I like it: creamy, rich, and full of flavor. Onion pakora was tasty. The garlic naan was fluffy, soft, and cooked perfectly. The service is always great too. Highly recommend checking this place out!

We were craving something a little different, so we landed on Indian/Bangladeshi cuisine. The reviews made the choice easy, so we headed straight to their Chamblee location. We were greeted right away and seated immediately, which was a great start. Badur (apologies if I'm spelling that wrong!) took care of us the entire time and was fantastic--super helpful with the menu and quick to offer great recommendations. We kicked things off with the Daal Puri: two mini, airy, soft flatbreads stuffed with lentils. They reminded me of a very light, crispy empanada, and I loved them. The accompanying tamarind sauce balanced everything perfectly. Definitely ordering that again on our next visit. For the mains, I went with the butter chicken, which was excellent. The chicken tasted like it had been smoked or grilled before being mixed into the sauce, and that extra flavor made it stand out. My friend ordered the Goat Bhuna, which was also delicious. Both dishes came with Baashmoti polao rice. We also added the Mixed Naan--stuffed with cheese, onion, garlic, and cilantro--and it was incredibly good. Overall, we had an amazing time. Great service, fantastic food, and a really enjoyable vibe. Solid 10/10. We'll definitely be back soon!

Also an absolute must and my #1 dish recently - the eggplant curry. If you're a protein bro and resistant to get get vege dishes - trust me you still want this one. Just get some extra wings (which are bangers too). I like the idea of the fried fish but as a seafood snob it was average (usually I hate in seafood). The noodles (one with the bean) was excellent. I tried also two desserts with Ube - flan and crème brûlée. Both so good but brûlée was the winner for me. Service is good - just a bit busy so you'll have to make a reservation most likely for a high demand time and expect rushing waiters.

So you need to be diligent in the first place to get a reservation and after arriving, I realized why because the place was completely packed even for an early scheduled dinner. It is located in a huge strip mall with a bunch of other restaurants and a lot of shared parking, but it gets full so you have to get lucky to find a spot and luckily parking is free While the website says they welcome walk-ins I can tell you now that on the weekend for dinner dinners good luck This was our first time here and we ordered quite a few items as you can tell from the photos. While the food is good, I will tell you that it is unique while still authentic for example, the crispy Palabok pancit is quite trendy. The lumpia Shanghai was good and you could actually taste the pork. The dessert of the flan combined cake was also good and not overly sweet. The chicken adobo was a bit on the salty side. And frankly, I thought there would be more chicken. The pork barbecue skewers were good, but not sweet and usually Filipino barbecue is supposed to be more on the sweeter side. The Halo halo was unique in the sense that it had some odd fixings on it such as marshmallows and candy that are not part of a special let alone traditional version of this. It also was missing quite a few ingredients that are what I would deem required. For example, no jackfruit and no sweet beans. I have to say, though this place definitely does justice to the Filipino culture and Filipino cuisine overall it is still a great strong restaurant that I would recommend you go to and check out. I have no other comparisons for the area, but this was definitely well worth the visit. The decor is absolutely incredible as well. Truly authentic and pays good homage to the culture and country. Congratulations to these owners and cooks for all that they have accomplished and so happy to be able to patronize Filipino owners. If I'm back in the area, definitely would come back here and try other dishes and I hope that it is all just as delicious as this meal.
