The service is great . The staff is very friendly. the ambiance at the time was quite ,clean and relaxing . I didn't dine in I ordered to - go the Chicken Samosa which sadly I didn't enjoy. it was too packed with the ground chicken and extremely dry and I really didnt like the Kalonji seeds on it it over powered the flavors making it not so tasty. I noticed they had a Shrimp Saag which I was interested in trying because I love Saag so much but unfortunately the flavors of the Saag just didn't hit . The saag was very underwhelming almost flavorless and all the ingredients tasted separate in my mouth . I'm definitely open to trying other things on the menu in the future to see maybe I just ordered the wrong thing.

If anything, I would take away a half star for the bathroom but for everything else I wanted to give it five stars. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, from the coconut curry to the vegetable samosa. Bonus was the fact that this was a lunch special order so we got it for a discounted price. The meal started with a soup, not pictured, that had a good flavor. The rest of the meal came as shown. My go to is usually tikka masala which my bf got but I decided to try the coconut curry. And while it wasn't as spicy as I expected, it still had a little kick and was very good. The restaurant was not super busy for lunch and the waiter was very kind and attentive. The restaurant itself was warming and comfortable, all again except for the bathroom. I think next time I will just hold off on too much water but will definitely be back and do recommend.

Still good amount of food--I got the lunch special with bhuna chicken as my choice for curry. I wasn't the biggest fan of the chickpea side that was part of the special, a tad bitter, but still good and I believe it just isn't my taste profile (other ppl could love it). Service was great, shoutout to Sam! Ambiance is elevated casual, you could stop in here for a solo bite or a catch up lunch with a friend.

I wish I had an option to rate this place 0. Worst ever North Indian food, I have ever tried. Ordered two signature dishes- Chicken seekh kabab and Dal Makhni. Dal Makhani: The moment they got this on my table, I was shocked to see its color. I asked them- Are you sure it's Dal Makhani? :) Answer was yes that's how we make it. Who puts tomato and regular yellow curry sauce in Dal Makhani and load them with cream? I am sure they used boiled black lentils, mixed some yellow gravy, load of cream and some spices and tempered it in a pan. Chicken seekh Kebab: Frozen chicken sheekh kabab. Roasted with some onion and chili to make it spicy!! I can tell this with 100% confident, I have tried the best and worst but never frozen should be served in a restaurant!! A hand rolled kabab is not so consistent made like machine. If someone knows how Dal Makhani should be, looking at this pic is enough to understand. :) I cannot comment on any other dishes. The last but not least, I tried to speak to so called chef to understand how it's prepared, I felt an attitude. Food can be average but if you have right attitude, you can make it better!

Both employees I interacted with were lovely. I'd definitely want to dine in in the future. I can only speak to the tadka dal and the garlic naan. They were both solid. We are here visiting the area and saw there is a huge indian population! This place was recommended to us by family and friends so we had to give it a try! The service was good and our waitress was a total sweetheart. The restaurant has two stories and not much decor, but it is in a corner lot location with easy parking in the front and back. The food was immaculate! 1. Butter Chicken - the tandoori chicken was cooked perfectly in the buttery cream curry sauce. The garam masala they used was tasty and was such a treat for us all. 2. Chicken 65, Gobi (Cauliflower) 65 - such a pleasing appetizer! Fried goodness and those spices..yum! Do not miss this here. 3. Tikka Masala with lamb - such a classic dish and the tomato based curry sauce mixed well with the tender lamb chunks. 4. Paneer TIkka - I have never been a huge fan but I've had this numerous ways over the years. This was one of the better versions. 5. Garlic Naan - the portion size and taste of this is worth the trip itself! Could eat this Naan every day. 6. Korma - I was not a fan of this one, although I could see other people really liking it. To me, it lacked flavor and was missing something. I got mine with chicken. I asked the waitress for a hot sauce to kick it up a bit and that did elevate it. 7. Rice - it was aromatic, and perfectly cooked jasmine rice that complimented everything. Not overdone and just right. With all the indian options in town, this is one that keeps it traditional and if I lived here, I would definitely come back!

Lunch special is amazing. Under 12$ for a variety of amazing food. We got a soup, pakora, naan, rice and two curries. We recommend the tikka masala over the vindaloo. I took home half for later.

Really enjoyed this restaurant! Came here with my husband and tried malai kofta, chicken bhuna, bullet naan, and a mango lassi. All of these were really good and the spice felt accurate (malai kofta ordered hot and chicken bhuna ordered medium), when sometimes it feels like some Indian restaurants tone spice down. Service was friendly and the atmosphere clean. A solid stop for Indian food in Sandy Springs! read more

I didn't know what to expect when approaching the entrance; we came in from the upper floor entrance and walked down the stairs. Very clean and well decorated restaurant, greenery and neatly set tables--could use a bit more live greenery to make it feel less cold and hard. We were greeted immediately as we came down the stairs, sat and drinks ordered in minutes. There were a few other patrons dining in, but a multitude of take out orders in our 2 hours here. I work for an Indian-owned company and my ownership treats me to different regional Indian and Pakistani food regularly--this spot hit the mark of my favorite past experience! The flavors were special, very uniquely catered to this family's recipe. My husband chose his typical Tikka Masala, but chose lamb instead of chicken--winning choice of the night! I ordered the Karahi (I love spice) with goat , and if you don't mind navigating through bones, I highly recommend it! If you're in the mood for an appetizer that isn't too filling, get the Gobi (fried cauliflower)--best I've had ever. We didn't stick around for dessert, but we plan on going back later this week for round 2! read more

I had the vegan Aloo Gobi with Roti, my friend got the Tikka Masala. Both of us had the Masala Chai iced tea. The food was delicious for both of us. Excellent food, great service. This place is spare but sweet. The decor is simple and uncluttered. The young lady who served us was lovely, knowledgeable, and on point. The food. The seasoning is as requested. Not hotter nor milder the flavours were nicely combined. I can't speak to the rice but my dinner partner thought it was perfect. This low-key restaurant is conveniently located in the heart of Sandy Springs - on Hammond Drive across the street from the strip mall that contains Whole Foods. It occupies the venue that used to contain Loving Hut. It's a casual, warm, and welcoming vibe upon entry. There's a TV one on of the walls displaying the specials for the day as well as additional items (e.g., desserts). I also liked that the menu was reasonably straightforward in its layout, separating the vegan/vegetarian items from the other entrées. For lunch, it comes with a mulligatawny soup and choice of potential upgrade for certain appetizers/breads. The mixed vegetable dish was simple but tasty and filled me up much more than expected. The lamb vindaloo was comparably satisfying. Note that you can also specify the level of spiciness (mild, medium, hot) for your dishes. Service was friendly and straightforward. All in all, it was great for a quick fix to grab Indian food. read more

We ordered the Chicken 65 Biryani & Shrimp Biryani from Uber Eats. They absolutely have no flavor and lack of or rather, no seasoning/spice which is pretty ironic given the restaurant name is Royal Spice. We have never eaten Biryani so bland before. Both protein also have no flavor. We definitely do not recommend this place if you are looking for good biryani. read more

Got takeouts from here and they were solid but not amazing. Portion size was generous, heat level, medium, was spot on for all 3 dishes I tried, and the naan was great. Overall flavor was fine but I've definitely had better chicken saag, vindaloo, and vegetarian currys. read more

The Monday thru Friday lunch special is great. Best value in Sandy Springs and extensive selection of items. The food is cooked perfectly and is always fresh. Great service every time I've gone. It's so good ity 1st weekly spot for lunch. Far better than anything around. read more

My son and I celebrated my birthday at Royal Spice Indian Restaurant in Sandy Springs. Islam, our waiter, gave us great service and was patient and helpful with answering all our questions. We started our meal with tasty Samosas. Next, I ordered the Vegetable Curry and my son, the Butter Chicken. In addition, we ordered two breads: Tandoori Roti and Naan. All arrived on time and flavored to our spice specifications. For dessert, we ordered two rice puddings, and Islam opted to give me a slice of mango cheesecake as an additional dessert. The cheesecake was fantastic! It was a lot of food and we were amazed we had enough to eat for lunch the following day. I was pleased to see the updates that were done from the previous restaurant: new flooring, freshly painted walls, new entryway, new artwork, wainscotting on the walls, and additional seating. It was the perfect place to celebrate my special day and we will be sure to come back again to enjoy more of the tasty entrees on their menu. read more

The pakora had a nice assortment of fried items. I don't know what they all were and I asked to take more than half in a doggie bag. My entree came with large bowl of rice and four pieces of hot naan. There was a good assortment of meat but the pieces were buried under onions and green pepper. There was a soup bowl sized portion of the gravy which was medium spicy. I don't know if it was that gravy or the meat, but I could taste a lot of salt. Since I was the first one in at 11:30, when they open, I watched to see how many more would come in looking for the buffet. 2 parties came in after me and both were seeking the buffet. One table left without ordering when I was leaving and they said they would go elsewhere. I asked the woman at the cashier station after I paid, why they stopped the buffet. She said they found they were throwing out a lot of food after their lunch hours ended at 3 so they decided to switch to the limited lunch menu. They felt they could satisfy their customers request for different spice levels and could get their fresh meats and vegetables for each dish. I don't know if business will be better with this format, but I know for me, I much prefer the buffet option because I could try a variety of dishes. The woman at the register said I could bring a group of friends in to order different dishes and we could share. sometimes, that is not a spur of the moment option. Because there were only a few tables seated, it was quiet and the staff was checking often to make sure water was filled and if anything was needed.

For the next ten minutes or more, the bartender proceeded to make drinks for the waiters, I remember him spilling out two drinks and remaking them while my martini continued diluting in the melting Ice. Ten minutes or more later, he pours my martini into more of a champagne coup glass than a martini glass, and I waited another five minutes or more for my wife to get her drink. When I tasted the upmartini, It tasted so diluted, just bad, almost commical to me. I just laughed to myself because i've tended bar for a living and that was about the worst martini i've ever had in my life. Either Rumi is watering down his booze or the ice melted so much that there was barely a gin taste in the glass. I think their gig is rather than give you a real martini level pour they dilute you with so much melted Ice that you think you're getting a full pour martini, when, in fact, what you're getting is half gin and half melted ice. And believe ME, you are charged as though it was a real martini. The place was pretty busy, so a lot of people must not have a clue... or just like busy places. Right before the table was served the main course, the waiter and manager came to tell me that they had run out of the dish I ordered. The lukewarm duck comes 'in" this purple sauce, I mean, it wasn't even swimming in the purple sauce-It was submerged in the purple sauce. The waiter, of course, later brought me the wrong type of rice than the one i oredered..That's okay they brought me a new one right away. I was really starving at the time, but if I hadn't been, I don't think I would have eaten any of the duck. Being submerged in a kind of a sickening, putple sweet sauce it just wasn't appetizing at all. Challenge: if you're a big Rumi's fan, go ahead and please try the duck, but you have to try it like I did- lukewarm temptation. Then tell me if you remain an unconditionalRumi's fan. The bread is delicious though. To their credit when I tried to order 2 glasses of red wine after my meal was served, they did give us the vin de table for free. I won't be coming back here anytime soon.

It's in a shopping center so there's free parking. It's right off Roswell Road so you really can't miss it even though it is kinda off in the corner but it's still easy to find . They have a little outdoor area so you can actually sit outside if you wanted to be in the element and it's actually covered as well because it's right under the awning of the building so that's an option too. You come in and it's a large shop but it's not a lot. Most of the space there is going to be seating. You can look around and they have a little market area but the market area is very small. They do have particular specific items so you can check that out while you wait for your food. You can see the menus on the board and everybody there is super friendly and they'll explain anything to you. We had a pretty good short conversation while I waited. Love the customer service . Hummus - I tried the hummus and it was okay. Nothing crazy about it and it was just regular and not like it was roasted red pepper or garlic or anything like that but it was decent . Chicken shawarma wrap - the wrap was pretty good. It wasn't great but it was pretty good. It had a lot of color to it, meaning they were seasoning it for sure, but the flavor was only okay. The flavor was not popping out of your mouth but it was a decent but subtle flavor. It was super tender! Chicken kabob - the kebab plate came with two skewers and rice with a salad and it came with some garlic sauce as well. I think that the kebab was better than the shawarma to me. It had the same char flavor but mixed with the rice and the garlic sauce, it took it up another notch as well. You got a lot of it though so it wasn't like you only got two pieces of meat per skewer and a small handful of rice. You got a bed of rice so it was really good. The salad was low quality but I really didn't care about that because I didn't come for salad lol. Overall you paid maybe like $12 or $14 for this. It wasn't bad for a full plate . All in all it was a pretty decent experience. They're very customer-oriented and customer-friendly so you go in there, you will be fine. They'll take care of you

But others in my group had all kinds of delicious eggs and Benedicts and bacon. Great place to go with a family, kids, groups. I wouldn't say it's romantic, but it's nice.

10/10 I'm still…read moredreaming about how good this butter and thick cut bacon this is! The service was great and the vibes weren't given iHop or Waffle House but just very home Ma & Pa feel. I loved how you can get anything on the menu and they let you substitute items. Will be back!
