Very clean & vibey spot; the decor is very cute and cozy, they dim the lights after a certain time I'm assuming, loved it. Definitely have to come back and try other items out. Here's what we ordered: * braised short ribs - strong 7/8, i didn't like the veggies as much but flavor wise, very yummy. * honey roasted chicken - oouuu, a very strong 8/9, the sauce was amazing; veggies, everything was sooooo yum. * Caesar salad - strong 7/8 (wish it was more but we did split 1 just to try it out first) * Mac & cheese - the only item we did not like 1 bit. On a Sunday afternoon, The select was moderately filled with customers. The outdoor patio seemed best for a casual Sunday brunch. The ambiance on the inside was great! Soft music and excellent service. The entire staff was so accommodating and the vibes were really good. The food was disheartening to say the least. While the short rib was cooked well the flavors were horrible. The food lacked seasoning and the purple sauce just wasn't it. The other patrons of my party didn't say anything about their food but no one finished and no one asked for a to go box. Also the food came out near room temperature... Parking was slightly difficult and in some lots you have to pay. There's nothing convincing me to come back. read more

I had high hopes for The Select, and while everything was solid, I don't think it fully delivered. First off, I think the ambiance here, especially the bar area is amazing. The lights are very cool and if you visit, you should definitely ask to be seated here. The service was also very good and standard for this type of restaurant. The food was where I felt like it was just missing something. I shared the butchers block which had a great selection of cheeses, nuts, and the jam was really good. I also ordered the French onion soup, after seeing how proud the restaurant presents it on their website, and the braised short rib. Both of these were good and I don't have any negatives about them, but neither were special, super flavorful, or blew me away which was disappointing given the price. Unfortunately, this was a consistent theme with the other 8 people I dined with. With all of that being said, I still think The Select is a safe option for a nice dinner that will deliver solid, consistent taste and quality. read more

Got the chance to visit this super cute spot for brunch when in town for the weekend! The service was really great! Shout out to our server Jordan for not only putting up with two gals yapping without looking at the menu, but also for recommending their amazing banana bread. It came out warm and moist, soo heavenly. I got the steak and cheese sandwich and it was huge! For the price, it was definitely worth it and the fries were perfectly cooked too. My mocktail with cherry and lime was refreshing and still cute despite being a cup of juice. The holiday decor was amazing! I'd love to visit during the spring and see the magic they work. Shoutout to Jordan for the A+ service! Went for Sunday brunch on a whim with my bestie who was visiting from CT. Her first time to Atl, so of course, I had to show her a little bit of OTP as well. This spot has been on my list for a while now, and I finally had a good reason to go! Parking worked out nicely, but I feel like we got lucky finding a parallel parking spot just across the street. This location is in sort of a larger shopping center so there's parking around. We arrived just before Noon, and we were seated right away without any wait to a small table in the dining room to the left once you enter. It wasn't insanely crowded which was nice as it wasn't very loud at all. It's a pretty big and open space and the decorations are SO cute. I've been told they change the decor seasonally, and of course they currently have up the holiday/new years decorations. Jordan greeted us almost immediately upon getting seated, and once we let him know it was our first time in, he was quick to offer helpful suggestions and answer and questions we had about the menu. He had mentioned the banana bread, so we had to go for it and I am SO happy we did!! It was incredible and by far the best banana bread I have ever had!! It was warm, fluffy, moist, and oh so delicious. It was quite filling, so I chose to go with a soup and salad combo for my main. They have French Onion on the menu, so if you know me, I had to get it. I'd give it an 7/10. The cheese was perfection but the broth could've been a tad warmer and more flavorful. My Caesar salad was actually really good. Kind of hard to mess up, but the dressing wasn't as heavy as other places and I appreciated that. My friends and I found this restaurant on one of the Atlanta holiday restaurant lists. We went on a Sunday afternoon so it was a little busy but not too crazy; we were seated maybe 10 minutes after arriving. We had two servers so at times, it was a little confusing to determine who we should order or follow up with. Our first server took our drink orders and we had no issues. Our second server took our appetizer orders but there was a misunderstanding on his part. We ordered 4 of the same appetizer but he somehow thought we ordered one. We were confused when only one came out but he quickly fixed the issue and took the first appetizer back so it wouldn't get too cold as we waited for the others For appetizers, we ordered the crab dip. The flavor was on point and I loved the cheesy pull. I also ordered the burger and it was okay but not amazing. The fries were not good in my opinion so I didn't bother to finish them after the first two. Overall, a decent experience and I wouldn't mind going back to try dinner. read more

We stumbled upon The Select and wow did it deliver! We enjoyed sitting outside on a reasonably warm evening and had fantastic service from Nicole R. The explanation of the namesake, the theme and history was great. The insight she offered on certain drinks and dishes helped us understand what we might enjoy. Probably one of BEST brunch experiences my wife and I have ever had. The Select was OUTSTANDING! Perfect day for a patio visit, we got there around noon on a Sunday and were seated right away. The restaurant is modern and elegant inside. We saw a full bar with beautiful decor. The patio was spacious and in a very quiet neighborhood next to a park. It was buzzing with the beautifully hip. Great setting for brunch. We were greeted promptly and warmly by our server Tara. She offered several recommendations as this was our first time. I ordered a Bloody Mary which was excellent and perfectly spiced. No rim but it didn't detract. For our meals, we went with 2 of Tara's recommendations, the Short Rib Hash and the French Toast. We wanted something savory and something sweet to try and the dishes both blew us away. First the Hash was STUNNING visually and tasted amazing. The potatoes were velvety soft with perfectly cooked braised short ribs that melted in my mouth. The 2 Eggs were perfectly sunny side up and, mixed with the slightly sweet beet mustard, béarnaise and micro greens, created a flavor that was quite unique! I crushed this dish! My wife never orders French Toast anywhere. It's always a texture thing for her. But THIS French toast was mind blowing. Lovely presentation as well but the flavors of challah bread, the strawberry compote, candied almonds and mascarpone whipped cream were to die for. It didn't even need the syrup to be honest. The sweetness was perfectly balanced and decadent. There are so many things on this menu that I want to try. This was a perfect dining experience from start to finish from the service, to the atmosphere and amazing food, The Select now ranks high on my brunch recommendations in all of Atlanta. This was my second visit to The Select. The first time was a few years ago when they had a holiday bar menu and it was just okay, but this recent visit was much more enjoyable and memorable. The ambiance immediately stood out. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating and is divided into a restaurant side and a bar side. The bar side was definitely the hotspot the night I went with live music and these stunning floral light fixtures on the ceiling that actually open and close like blossoming flowers. The restaurant side was just as nice, a little more lowkey but still elegant. Our server Jewel was great and she was training someone as well. For appetizers, the table shared the hot crab dip, raw oysters, and duck meatballs. The crab dip was my favorite--served hot with real crab in every bite. The duck meatballs had great flavor but were a bit spicy for me. For my entrée, I ordered the short rib with a side of macaroni and cheese. The short rib was melt-in-your-mouth tender, served over mashed potatoes with vegetables, and the mac and cheese was creamy and delicious. Glad that I called and didn't rely on the online reservation options. They fit us in for Saturday night dinner . I wanted to experience their happy hour and then move into dinner. The bar was booked for a shower but HH was honored in the adjacent dining room. Drink discounts and reduced appetizer options started our meal. Of course, we opted for oysters and house made fries. Service was a bit bumpy /slow and courses overlapped which is annoying for this level of establishment. We were getting full from the appetizers so we split the grilled trout entree. The accompanying veggies were quite minimal. I love celery root but it turned out to only be a smear on the plate. Great for happy hour but I would go somewhere else for the main meal. Too much competition in the area. The place was quite busy with lots of large parties celebrating birthdays . We walked across the street to Flower Child for dessert, their chocolate mousse is delightful! 2 hour garage parking is complimentary. For today's Sunday Brunch we celebrated my Virgo friends. We brought in our own desserts - a cake and 6 cupcakes. Our server was so cool she took them to the back to clear our table. We'll get back to that... We reviewed the menu (real menus not a QR code), then started with drinks and a shared appetizer. The Bellini, Dragonbird and the Ginger Margarita were our sips and the crab dip was for our starter. We throughly enjoyed this to start and added crudite for those not eating carbs. For our entrees we had the Chicken Chilaquiles, 3-Egg Omelette with Gruyère cheese and the Classic Breakfast. You can customize your eggs, protein and add sides. I highly recommend the chicken sausage. It seemed house made and was outstanding. At the end of the meal our server cut and served the cake. We had plenty to share with other guests and left it for the staff. The location is great for a family dinner, dates, solo dining at the bar or special occasions. Came here for a holiday dinner with some friends after hearing rave reviews. The place is cozy and beautiful. They have a holiday bar going right now and it is separate from the main dining room. We got there while happy hour was still going so we got a dozen oysters half off ($18 maybe?). The oysters were fresh and came with all the toppings including hot sauce since we're in the south! We also had the hot blue crab dip was really rich and flavorful and perfect on a cold winter night. I had the miso sea bass which was perfectly tender and fell apart into layers with just a gentle touch of my fork. The apple tart was prob the only thing that didn't feel special. We have always liked the consistency of this restaurant. Great service, delicious food, amazing ambiance. Today we went for my daughter's birthday brunch. We were disappointed in the enormous cinnamon roll...it was tough to cut, dry and almost burnt on the bottom. It wasn't just us. We noticed anyone around us having a tough time cutting it. Meals were really good. At our table we had the select Benedict, short rib hash, country breakfast and smash burger. We had a crème brûlée for dessert and that again was a bit mid..sugar on top was not melted...more granules than the crisp texture expected. Went right at opening after work and loved that there was no wait (it filled up quickly for happy hour right after!). We tried the fries, pasta, and drinks--everything hit the spot. Went on a Saturday late afternoon/early evening. It was pretty empty around 5 and didn't start picking up until almost 7. The place is gorgeous and very aesthetic. I've been here before for brunch and was unimpressed a few years ago but decided to come back with another friend. I ordered the Wagyu burger which was delicious and a big portion. I got it with curry aioli for my fries (per one of the employee's suggestion) and omg so good. My friend got the shrimp linguine and said it was tasty but he was still hungry after eating it. For drinks I got the ginger margarita which was perfectly spicy and balanced and my friend got the Grantham which was good but I'm not a scotch gal so I wouldn't order it myself. The ambience was warm and inviting. One side of the restaurant had some greeneries and made it look more enchanting (right-hand side as you enter). Some appetizers I sampled from the table. The French baguette was warm and fresh, but it wasn't anything special. The Peruvian ceviche was fresh and interesting with the taro root chips. And with these items in the burger, I was more partial to this burger pick. * Wagyu smash burger: The consensus was that this burger was better. [I split this with a friend so I had half to try.] The patty was too thin (yeah, I know it was a smash burger). The thinness of the patty didn't do it justice imo. And with the lettuce, thick tomato, and cheddar, it felt like any regular burger. But it did have more fat comparted to the lamb which made the boys like it more. My friend and I couldn't even taste the pomegranate drizzle that was supposed to be on the fries. Fresh as they were, they were too soggy imo. These fries were more like baked ones than fried. * Lamb shank: This was the special, and it was delicious! I mean. For $46, it better be. Lol. The lamb was juicy, tender, and flavorful. And the mashed potatoes soaked up all this yumminess. For some odd reason, the other party members also had the broccolini, and they were of particular interest. I sampled some, and it was good. Haha. * Wild mushrooms & porcini foam: OMG. Why are these veggies so dang delicious. I'm never really a fan of veggies with mushrooms being more tolerable. But these were just out of this world with that sauce. Overall, some entree picks were better than others. And the same goes for the price. Some were more wildly more expense than others. This is such a wonderful place to have brunch. From the atmosphere, music, food and exceptional service what more can you ask for. We had the pleasure to have Sam as our server he was professional and knowledgeable about the menu items and gave great recommendations. I went with the French toast and banana bread both were delicious especially the French toast. Two thick cut pieces of Challah bread topped with strawberry compote, candied almonds and topped with a creamy mascarpone whipped cream after the first bite I was hooked. The brunch menu isn't extensive, but it's plenty of options to choose from. I love the seating in the conservatory room the space was decorated beautifully throughout. They also have a nice patio if you prefer to sit outdoors. Parking is limited in front of the restaurant. I think valet is available for dinner, but it's ample parking in the garage which can be validated for two hrs. Went to celebrate work anniversary with coworkers . We had The most wonderful experience . The environment, staff, food and drinks were top tier wonderful. Our waitress was very kind and helpful. We were enjoying ourselves so much that we sent her away twice before we ordered not once did she appear annoyed . We asked the hostess to take photos for us at the end of the night she was so sweet and took many for us to choose from and even helped us clear the table before the photos were taken . Lovely facility, super friendly staff, just one problem, poorly prepared meals. I ordered short ribs and the wedge salad. The blue cheese dressing was watery and the bacon topping were tiny bits of bacon that likely sat on a shelf for weeks. The salad was drowning under an over load of blue cheese dressing. Then for the main course I opted for the short ribs. The short ribs were drowning under a super salty jus or sauce. The salt ruined the dish and there really was no excuse for this. I would have sent it all back, but did not want to disrupt my friends. I don't know if you attempted to set the scene as if we were in Le Select in Paris. I doubt they would be sickened by such an association. You might poach a new chef who knows how. Sorry to be a spoiler, but I want you to be successful and you should know what's going on. read more

We went to The Select last year for Thanksgiving and I see I forgot to properly give them a review and what better time then now while they are planning the next Thanksgiving meal in just 3 weeks. We absolutely loved the meal, we left with tons of left over food as you're served plenty of food. Most is served family style and between the three of us it was absolutely more than enough and enjoyed having extra left over to enjoy since we spent Thanksgiving at home last year with no other family. It was great to go and have no cleanup and yet have food to warm and still enjoy. We were served all the traditional food such as turkey, ham, collard greens, sweet potatoes, green beans, dressing, cranberry cocktail, macaroni and cheese, along with dessert. we got different desserts so we could share who one another. Their scheduling was perfect, we didn't feel rushed and enjoyed the vibe and venue of restaurant. Our son enjoyed checking out the little houses and scenery around the restaurant and we watched the ice skaters. Went for brunch with friends on a weekend. Overall great. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating. Pretty spacious. We ordered the onion soup, the benedict, cinnamon bun, and the burrata. Best cinnamon bun so far, with just the right amount of sugar powder and great texture. The benedict used hash brown instead of muffin/biscuit/bread as the base, which was quite impressive. The protein is speck. The French toast seems to be pretty tasty - would like to try it next time. No drink specials...only food deals. The food was excellent and so were the drinks. My partner ordered the banana nut bread old fashion which was on the sweet side, but good. I ordered The Grantham, which was refreshing. The flavors of rosemary, bourbon, and lemon came together well! Burgers were tasty (the Wagu burger was better than the Classic) and the dessert was good. I'm a chocolate person so having sticky toffee pudding for the first time was good, but I kept wanting it to be a flourless chocolate cake, which it wasn't. Our server, Nicole, was excellent! The Select is a great restaurant. Modeled after a cafe in Paris (though this seems more grand than any French cafe), the food here is fresh, plentiful, and tasty. The burger and salmon are wonderful, we love the fresh-baked bread from across the street. The service is friendly and attentive, we also love how spacious and comfortable the seating and tables are.
