I'm not big on pizza, but I've ordered for family or friends who have come over to visit and they like it. I just wished they would deliver.

We went to Aversano's last Sunday, and I honestly couldn't have been happier with our experience…read more From the moment we walked in, the restaurant had such a welcoming atmosphere. The music was great, the lighting was beautiful, and everything was incredibly clean and well maintained. The food was amazing from start to finish. To drink, I ordered a Peach Sangria, which came out quickly and was absolutely delicious, while my husband drank a glass of Malbec. For our appetizer, we shared the zucchini flowers special, and they were fresh, flavorful, and easily one of the highlights of the meal. For our dinner, I ordered the Chicken Francese and my husband ordered the Pork Chop Alla Vodka. Both dishes were cooked perfectly. As wonderful as the food was, what really stood out to me was the service. The restaurant was fairly busy, but there were only three young women working the dining room that evening (two waitresses and a busser) and they were incredible to watch. Their teamwork was something you don't see very often. They were constantly helping each other, the two waitresses were making drinks, checking on tables, and keeping everything running smoothly despite how busy it was. Our waitress, Eliza, was an absolute pleasure. She was friendly, attentive, answered all of our questions, and had such a great sense of humor that made the entire experience even more enjoyable. Another waitress, whose name I unfortunately can't remember, was also wonderful. She had blonde hair and made a point to greet us and check in throughout the meal to make sure we had everything we needed. It was so impressive how hardworking and professional these young women are. At one point, Eliza mentioned that she is currently in college, working at the restaurant, and balancing an internship on top of it all. The other waitress was also in college. Despite having so much on their plates, they remained positive, professional, and genuinely caring throughout the entire evening. It really is rare to come across a staff that works so well together and clearly takes pride in what they do. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the service truly made the experience unforgettable. I would absolutely recommend Aversano's to anyone looking for a great meal and outstanding service. The staff alone made this a 10/10 dining experience.

Wife had the veal cutlet parm and spaghetti. She loved the veal but was a little sketchy with the spaghetti, said it tasted a little off. I had the rigatoni Bolognese with a side of meatballs. I am usually not a big fan of Italian meatballs but there meatballs are actually pretty good. (My wife does make better) Their rigatoni are short, fat little things that are outstanding. Good gravy. Service was excellent and knowledgeable. Atmosphere was a little noisy (bridal shower in the back room) but other than that, I would not hesitate to go back.

We had a delicious prix fixe VDay menu that was hands-down one of the best meals we've had in years. We are transplants from the city and felt like we were back in Brooklyn. Every bite was mouth-watering, from the salted butter and warm bread to the perfectly dressed beet and bitter green salad...to the delicious steak, halibut, and pots de creme and olive oil cake for dessert. What an absolute treat, made only better by the attentive and congenial waitstaff that made you feel like a regular. Oh, and the drinks - the mixologist at the bar created a perfect drink every time! And thanks for coming to say hello, Kaitlyn! Cannot recommend this place enough - do not let the strip mall locale deter you - this place is worth it in every way! Unfortunately, the experience quickly declined once our server arrived. They were dismissive, gave us uncomfortable looks, and their attitude made us feel unwelcome. The food was mediocre and not worth the price. Most dishes lacked flavor, especially the chicken wings, which had no seasoning at all. Throughout the meal, we were consistently overlooked by the staff. Despite being clearly visible, we had to repeatedly ask for assistance while employees stood nearby without offering help. What made the experience particularly upsetting was the sense that we were being treated differently based on our appearance. The behavior felt discriminatory and left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. Overall, I would not recommend this place. We barely ate and asked for the check early just so we could leave

My filet and husbands lobster ravioli were both delicious, and the appetizers were just as impressive. Their wine selection was also really nice and paired perfectly with dinner. They were sold out of 2 of the bottles we initially requested so that speaks for itself ! We ended the night with a soufflé and a tart for dessert, which was the perfect sweet finish. Overall, such a great Valentine's dinner,we'll definitely be back! The atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming, and the staff was attentive without ever being rushed. It gave us a great chance to really enjoy the space and the food. We started with the two-cheese crostini, which ended up being one of the highlights of the night. The bread was perfectly crisp, and the cheeses had just the right amount of richness without being heavy. I also tried their seasonal non-alcoholic Spiced Apple-Lini, and it was surprisingly delicious--refreshing, slightly sweet, and very "fall in a glass." For my entrée, I ordered the chicken Milanese, and I have to say it might be the best I've ever had. I'm usually very particular about chicken dishes, but the flavor and texture were spot-on. The breading was light and crispy, and the chicken itself wasn't dry at all. The plate came with a beautiful mix of seasonal vegetables--roasted squash, shaved fennel, cranberries, and arugula--topped with an apple cider vinaigrette that pulled everything together. It tasted fresh, balanced, and really thoughtful. We ended the meal with their cheesecake served with a house-made pistachio crème. The flavor was fantastic, especially the pistachio topping, which really made it unique. My only tiny note is that I personally prefer cheesecake a bit colder and denser rather than closer to room temperature, but that's purely personal preference and didn't take away from enjoying it. The owner also came by to chat with us, and he was incredibly friendly--clearly someone who cares about his guests and the quality of the experience. Between the great service, thoughtful menu, and inviting atmosphere, we're already looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes. Definitely a strong addition to the Danbury dining scene.
