The grits were cooked perfectly with a nice thick texture and nicely salted. I was amazed at the portion of bacon that came in the wrap and the chicken was seasoned well. Big portion and worth the money. I appreciate the fact that it's open seating without a traditional host stand. The dining room is causal, colorful, cozy, and well lit. One of my new breakfast favorites in Raleigh. The location is convenient to hotels downtown for business or leisure travelers looking for a quality bite to eat to start their day. Such a unique name and the location was great. Although not a lot a traffic, this place seemed to be full. You can dine in or sit outdoors which does have some shade due to the high building around it. You pick up a menu and walk to the counter to order. You're given a wooden number to place on your table and they will bring you your order. Pretty unique in itself. Seating wasn't too crowded and had room to move. Inside out out, we had a great view. I ordered the garden basket in the count that I saw the picture on the monitor and quickly changed my mind. The fiancé ordered the frenchie with a side of O/M eggs and bacon. Here too the bacon was cooked too perfection. I forgot that their signature is the biscuit so the frenchie was actually a biscuit made like French toast. The fiancé didn't care much for it as it was quite thick to his liking but the berries gave it a flavor that cancelled out the saltiness. The garden basket was like an inside out omelet with the veggies sitting in top of the egg and the potatoes were crunchy but soft on the inside. Lots of foods but tasted amazing. I also ordered the pumpkin praline which was over the top greatness. Loved the mug as I wanted to keep it lol. I sipped on my coffee for a minute enjoying its warm nutty taste which left me wanting more. I do believe this is in season but they have other choices during the year. I've been looking forward to Biscuit Belly opening locations in NC as I've been to the restaurants in VA while traveling. This location didn't disappoint! I brought my mom for a late breakfast today and she ordered the Rockwell while I ordered the boomer. The boomer has mushroom gravy and biscuits and it's full of flavor. We tried the loaded breakfast tots which were equally delicious. My mom enjoyed hers as well. I ordered the buckeye iced coffee (peanut butter foam) and it was perfectly sweet and rich. The restaurant was packed so the food took a little time to come out but it was expected given the crowd. I'll definitely be back! read more

Picture- a juicy nice sized perfectly seasoned and fried chicken breast, chipotle aioli, cheese and slightly sweet pickles on a perfect biscuit. I devoured it! Okay okay enough about that chicken. I also had the pancakes and bacon and mom had eggs, potatoes (a little too salty) and sausages. All the food was good. Seaboard area has gone through some changes recently, including the addition of Biscuit Belly. I am not a super fan of biscuits but I like them well enough. That said, Belly Biscuit serves up an above average one. I got the Basic Biscuit with bacon, for $11.25. I also got a latte which I enjoyed very much. It's order then sit down and my food arrived fairly quickly on a busy Saturday morning. The area is kinda fun, good amount of parking. I want to try the surrounding restaurants as well. Went to Biscuit Belly for their Downtown Raleigh Restaurant Week lunch special and the Buffalo Ranch Biscuit was incredible! The chicken was moist and crispy. The buffalo sauce was not too spicy, the ranch almost had an aioli flavor, the pickles brought in some sweetness and the biscuit was fluffy. My phone died before I could take a picture of the lavender mimosa but it was THE BEST mimosa I've ever had. They have indoor and outdoor seating, the outdoor seating has a nice view towards downtown. They are open for breakfast and lunch only so be sure to check the hours before going. Stopped in while in town for a concert. First off, the restaurant has the cutest vibes. We were greeted by the friendliest staff. Parking was easy to find and the restaurant validates for the garages. My friend and I each had a biscuit and shared the gravy train. All I can say is YUM! The mushroom gravy was to die for! The biscuits were dry and bland on gravy trio and we only liked the mushroom gravy. Mornay was just ok and sausage gravy was runny and had weird aftertaste, we believe it had maple flavoring added. We visit Raleigh often and have tried many a biscuit place. This one was great. I had the GOAT and it did not disappoint. I knew immediately when I saw it on the menu that I was going to order it. I've been chasing the Maple Street squawking goat for years. This was close. The only drawback or criticism I have of this location was the parking. I got a brisket breakfast sandwich and my husband had a brisket Benny, and my toddler had pancakes with bacon and berries and whipped cream. Drip coffee tasted pretty decent. Food was out quickly! I loved my breakfast sandwich and my husband thought his benny was pretty good. Toddler ate brisket, bacon, berries, some pancake dipped in syrup. With the cooler weather we were able to sit outside comfortably and it was a nice time. I would definitely recommend to those wanting a fun casual brunch/breakfast and yes it's very kid friendly.
