This was our second visit & I'm honestly mad at myself for how long it took us to come in! The ambiance is fun, bright & inviting. Staff is lovely & so helpful. The biscuits are great & the menu is extensive- something for everyone! I dare you to narrow it down to one item! There is a point system that's AMAZING too, if you get the app. Today we got free donuts with bourbon frosting... nom nom nom. Its St. Patty's Day, so we got the pistachio themed coffee special x2 also! So good, I didn't get a picture before the biscuits hit the bellies lol. Always checking in and making sure you have everything you need- will always fix everything that's not okay for you- example- I didn't like the butter that came on on my food. Remade it. Went on a Sunday morning, and this place is super busy for good reason! Biscuit Belly's is self service, but the staff moves quickly to ensure your wait time isn't too long. My partner and I got seated after about 10 minutes, and our food came shortly after that. We were able to try their Bonuts for free due to a promo they had, which was super cool. We loved the Fried Green Tomatoes, as my midwest partner and I usually don't have the opportunity to order them. Our entrees were filling and delicious, and we enjoyed the restaurant's bustling culture even if it was a bit loud at times. Overall, a fun breakfast place for two or your family. I visited a little bit ago on a Saturday morning with my mom. There was little wait time, and we got our food within 10 minutes. The menu had lots to choose from. I went with the T-Bird which was delicious! My mom went for a classic breakfast, The Belly Board. The house made jam and sausage were so good! Lastly, I loved the environment. Pick up menu on way in, place your order at the desk and grab your drink(s) and seat yourself. They bring the food out to you fairly quickly. Food was tasty; eggs were easy over ( but more done then easy over, ding ), biscuits are in shape of a heart ( nice touch ) potatoes were nicely done and some a bit crunchy ( I like ) jelly was mix blend of fruits I believe ( good taste ) sausage patties were good and firm, not greasy. This spot is so cute. There is always plenty of seating and when I went - prime brunch time on a Saturday - the line wasn't even that long despite the whole place bustling with people. I got an iced vanilla latte and it was a lil pale but still delicious. I also got the belly board with bacon and over easy eggs and I subbed out the potatoes for fruit. It was the perfect balance. The biscuit was obviously fresh to death. It came with some preserves which were amazing. All in all I recommend! They have a rewards program but since I'm not local I didn't take part. read more

Biscuit Belly was my introduction for my love of Southern Biscuits. Their food is so good! When I travel to Louisville I always want to stop in. On my first visit I had The Rockwell Supreme. And while it was delicious, the chicken made the sandwich just too filling. This most recent visit I got the basic and added Sausage gravy. It was nearly perfect (I wish the cheese had been melted). I could eat the gravy on its own! I actually should have ordered two sides of gravy as I ran out before I finished the biscuit. lol Also got a side of Fried Green Tomatoes and they were crispy and delicious. I wanted to try the cheesy grits, but knew it would be too much food. Last time I had the donuts and would definitely get them again. Parking here is easy and the food came out fast, hot, and cooked to perfection. I'll be thinking about Biscuit Belly a lot and only wish they had one in San Diego! read more

This is a walk in, grab a menu, order your food then find a seat kind of place. I wasn't expecting that when we decided to go there. We just wanted a yummy brunch to kick off our Saturday. Biscuit belly was just okay. I ordered the Rockwell Supreme. The gravy was yummy, but on mine and my friend's regular Rockwell there wasn't quite enough. Luckily mine had an egg to give me a little more to go with my biscuit. The chicken was well seasoned and the bacon was cooked perfectly across the board. Finally, the fruit that came with my friend's pancakes was super fresh which she really enjoyed. I got a chai tea latte and my friend got a regular coffee. We didn't finish either and would have skipped the drinks if we had known what they would be like. Mine tasted more like overdone coffee than a chai latte. The restaurant itself was cute and the person taking our order was nice but we would opt to go somewhere else in the future. read more

Been wanting to check this place out and I was finally in the area so I stopped by. I came in around 2:00, an hour before closing. Instructions on ordering were pretty straight forward. The cashier was nice and friendly, asked me if I had been in before and welcomed me when I said I hadn't. I ordered the Belly Board with bacon, grits, and a side of the mornay gravy. My food came out relatively fast and looked absolutely incredible. I fashioned my own version of biscuits and gravy and dug in. It all tasted great. Loved the biscuit. Gravy tasted amazing and those grits were cooked to absolute perfection. Minor complaint was that my food could have been hotter. Now on to reasoning for 3 stars rather than my originally planned 4 stars. I arrived an hour before closing but noted when I sat down that they had started cleaning the dining area and prepping for closing. Since there were only about 7-8 diners I can understand why and didn't have a problem with it. My issue was that while I was still eating and time was 2:28 (I checked) the person sweeping the dining area decided to come over and sweep under my table and at my feet. I was not happy. I'm okay with someone cleaning around me. I'm not okay with being made to feel like I need to hurry up and leave when they're still open for another 30 minutes. I might give another location a chance but not too keen to return to this one. read more

After reading reviews of Biscuit Belly we decided to give it a try, hoping it was going to be amazing. The last time I ate in this building it was Zoe's Kitchen and I was bummed when that left. I believe it was another eatery between Zoe's and Biscuit Belly. We visited on a Saturday and the wait was, quite literally, backed up to the door and a sign that said "Your wait from this point is about 20 minutes". I suddenly felt like I was in line for a roller coaster. While we made our way through the line we were able to peruse the menu to see what we wanted to order. The other 17 minutes were spent with our feet inching forward, my stomach growling smelling great food that I couldn't eat yet. When we finally made it to the counter and placed our orders, got our drinks, and sat down to wait for our food. While waiting I couldn't get over how loud this place is. The crowd noise could some help, because it is seriously loud in this place. So loud I had to literally talk into my wife's ear in order to have a conversation. Distractingly loud. If there was ever a candidate for some sound-deadening ceiling baffles, this place would be it. Our food arrived about 15 minutes after we ordered, bringing out in-restaurant time to over 30 minutes from the time we walked in the door. Not impressive. I had the Mama's Boy because the jalapeño pimento cheese caught my attention. It didn't look like the picture. It was a lopsided pile of food that had the appearance of being very hastily assembled. It was pretty tasty, if lukewarm at best and the biscuit was a bit on the dry side. The jalapeño pimento cheese, though....yummz. I could have used some more of the pickles, too. The staff was constantly, if not chaotically, in motion trying to keep tables clean. The tables are pretty tight and with the crowd this day it was a challenge to get around. They've got some pretty good merch for purchase, as well. Being a collector of shot glasses, I added one to my collection of over 700. I wasn't blown away by my first visit, and that could have been because of the stadium-event sized crowd this particular day. I got myself over to Biscuit Belly after telling myself I would since they opened (Which has been a while now) This place has become pretty popular from the start - What started out as one location has already become 5, which have also bloomed in Lexington and Evansville as well. I can see why the hype is real here. There's a fun, colorful atmosphere and great food! I'm not a huge biscuit person, but their different creations had my mouth watering!! I tried the Fire in Your Belly - a hot chicken biscuit with an egg added... it was amazing! It seems small for the cost, but it's definitely a foodie experience. Make sure to allow yourself enough time on the weekends, as this place stays busy. We thought 10:30 on a Sunday would beat the crowd, but not in the slightest! Biscuit Belly is awesome. Came here on the way back home from Mammoth Cave. Tried the downtown location on a Sunday morning, but the line wrapped around the building, so we pivoted and ended up here. So glad we didn't give up. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, food was quick, and service was also fast. The fried green tomato was perfection and so was the fried chicken and pimento cheese. I will say the bonuts were just "okay". Not as good as Buscuit Love in Nashville, but in a pinch these would do.
