After being seated, given water and a menu it did take several minutes to order. Fortunately they serve breakfast all day and after an earlier doctor's appointment we were able to get a good meal and very good service. Initially I overshot the restaurant and had to go back as it's near Paul's Fruit Market in a strip mall. By the time we left the place was packed. So the locals in the neighborhood seem to flock to the Cheddar Box Too. I do like their biscuits and gravy bowl. It's probably the best I've had since the late lamented Lynn's Paradise Grill went out of business.

I have been partial to the panini they've had on special, the hot honey brisket. Love the beef, love the flavor combination, love how everything melds together, love the crunch of the bread. I've tried a couple bites of other paninis and they've been great as well. The store has anything you could need to make whatever Italian meal that could come to mind, and more. Just on the edge of the Highlands, Morris Deli is not only your stop for your packaged drinks, but a nice sandwich or homemade soup as well. Drive by on the right day, you'll also see the smoker blowing outside. My sandwich of choice is a club on a toasted croissant with Colby cheese and a cup of broccoli cheddar soup. Look at the pictures, this place doesn't miss! It's constantly full of usuals and the staff definitely knows their people. A clerk pointed me to their local chocolates and candies section, and I was able to get some bourbon balls and modjeskas -- dark chocolate modjeskas, in fact, a first for me. And during my short trip, I noticed several local brands represented, as well as great options for pre-made meals. I feel like Paul's would also be fun to shop at for a party. You could find lots of dips and other party foods to show off. A few years ago I also ordered some fruit baskets here for my kid's teachers.
