    Kalamity Katie's Benedict (half portion)

We had a reservation at Wild Egg but were unable to make it. So we went the next day without one! We probably got there close to 9:15 on a Friday morning and it was packed! Fortunately, there was a table available for us. No server approached us for a little while. The hostess was seating someone near us and asked if we had any service yet - we had not. She went and got someone to take care of us right away. After that it moved quickly! We knew we were going to have a sizable lunch, so we decided to split a meal. We were really glad because the portions are huge! We got the Kalamity Katie's Border Benedict and it came with breakfast potatoes and a bread - we opted for the blueberry muffin. We asked for an extra plate, but they split it for us before they brought it to the table. It was delicious! I couldn't even finish my half of the meal! There are so many places to eat in downtown Louisville, so I do t imagine that we'll come back while we're visiting. But you should go!

Dined at the down town Louisville location twice over the holiday weekend and loved it! Service was great on both a very busy Saturday and a very quiet Monday. As busy as it was on the Saturday, it didn't feel overly loud. I had the loco hash and the potato head casserole. Both excellent! The carnitas on the loco hash was a great addition. I need Wild Eggs to make their way to Columbus!

Great spot for breakfast, and they do fill up fast on the weekends. We came just after 9a on Sunday and got the last table. Big menu with lots of great options. Coffee $3.49 Mexico City Chilaquiles $14 - Very enjoyable dish, the meat was shredded and flavorful and the sauce is very drinkable. Got this with a side of grit *chef kisses* Potato Head Casserole $14 - This dish was good. .|\---/| | @_@ | ..\_^_/..2025

Visiting Kentucky for the first time and wanted just coffee, but got distracted by this place on my way to Main Street. The food, staff and service was overwhelmingly gooood

Arrived a little after 10 on a Saturday morning was seated right away but it filled up quick . The menu offers a lot , we chose the Totchos ,Loco Hash ,coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. Everything came out in a timely manner although the cheddar cheese on the totchos resembled a slice of American cheese but my husband said it was still tasty. Cute quirky spot with plenty of options and a friendly staff !

Yum yum!! Highly recommend the pitcher, you will regret it if you order a single!!

We were lucky enough to sit at the bar top within a minute of checking in for a 45 minute wait for a table on a Sunday morning. Our server Rachel was pushing to serve her area and did an exceptional job!! Everyone at the bar enjoyed the atmosphere as if we were all in one party! The food was served quickly and the pomegranate mimosa was the first beverage and I wished I had ordered the pitcher instead of a single!!

    Hair in my grits

The food was tasty and seasoned well. I was enjoying my grits until I found a piece of hair in them.

Impressed with the quick service, this place was very busy. The food was good, no complaints. We wanted a delicious , quick, filling breakfast before hitting the road to return home. Wild Eggs delivered and we would return.

Good breakfast, my wife's platter was great, pancakes great, grits great. My only negative was that the omelette eggs ( my meal ) appeared to be from liquid eggs as these were spongy and quite dry and not much inside , I ordered bacon, ham, spinach and cheese and it was all clumped in the middle.

I ordered online To Go and the order and receipt are correct and they even gave me sausage on the side like requested.... The problem is, I ordered the Mr Potatohead, with eggs scrambled well done, with the queso, mushrooms, peppers and onions, with sausage on the side, (because I'm a vegetarian) I received something filled with meat-ham and bacon-and some runny eggs on top with some weird sauce. Probably hollandaise. Very disappointed because we were in a hurry to get back home from vacation, we live about 40 miles away. Do better!!! Double check before packing an order!

This was the BEST place ever! Reservations are HIGHLY recommended otherwise the waitlist is crazy and they close at 3p! Food was phenomenal and gave huge portions. Our server was great and very attentive. Ambiance is family/friends/fun and just relaxed. Please give it a try and let me know your thoughts.

We visited randomly on a Friday afternoon after being in town and looking for a quick bite. We happened to walk by and decided to go in and try it. There was ample seating and we had no wait. The service was phenomenal!! Everyone had smiling faces and offered suggestions. We were visiting from another state so some of the servers offered up suggestions on what to do while in town. The Bloody Mary was probably top 3 I've ever had. The pickles they used were sweet and spicy and do good we had to ask for a picture of the bottle to buy! The portions are a generous size and we couldn't finish our food.

The staff also encourages you to walk through the dining room and if able they will walk along as your own private docent, explaining a lot of what you see. We had to pause the dining room and bar exhibit tour for a short time to have breakfast which included: - BREAKFAST SANDWICH - Scratch Biscuit, House Sausage, - FRENCH TOAST - Ricotta, Strawberry, Pistachio - BISCUITS & GRAVY - House Sausage Gravy, Sunny Eggs, Chili Crisp Scrambled Eggs, Melty Cheese, Hash-brown - STEEL CUT OATMEAL - Spiced Apple Butter, Apples, Candied Walnuts I will not go items by item but I will say that everything was so perfect-tasty-fresh. It's hard to describe just how large the viewing area is and all spots within the area are used for some kind of art display... Even the bathroom. Set aside an hour or two to stop in and relax with some great food and art. KUDOs to the team at Proof on Main.

The modus operandi here is that you stand in line to place your order, then go find a table. At Sunday brunch time, the line can be long and slow to move. After you are seated, a runner will bring your food out. Our orders were correctly prepared and came out quickly. We ordered fried green tomatoes, loaded tater tots and donut holes as appetizers. The green tomatoes were just okay, but I would say that the dipping sauce that came with them was fabulous. The loaded tater tots didn't really seem like tater tots but tasted okay. The donut holes were decent. I ordered the Chick N' Ditch (chicken breast and waffles). The unpleasantly salty chicken was a filet. The French toast that looked like pancakes were good JP ordered the Avocado Toast and said it was just okay. The Bacon, Egg and Cheese Biscuit was good. I was able to order a biscuit on the side (even though the paper menu didn't show biscuits as a side). The biscuit was good. I'm torn between three and four stars for Biscuit Belly, but because the ambience was lively and the interior appealing, I'll go ahead with four stars.

My top-tier chum who literally went to the school of hospitality and I came here two Fridays ago ahead of a bourbon tour (thinking, correctly, that we should probably have a hearty meal beforehand so we didn't end up face-first in a gutter somewhere). Several Kentucky natives told us that we had to try a Hot Brown during our visit, and since it was literally created at the Brown Hotel, this seemed like the logical spot. The actual Hotel has some gorgeous interiors, especially upstairs in the lobby. We didn't see that area until after our meal, so when we laid eyes on the Lobby Bar & Grill, we knew immediately that that was where we SHOULD have gone for this Hot Brown dish. J. Graham's, I'm sorry to say, doesn't have the history and personality of the rest of the building and just looks like a generic breakfast spot you'd find in any hotel. It probably exists solely because the other dining options in the hotel aren't open until later and they want to give tourists and their own customers a place to eat at all times of the day, which isn't a terrible reason in my book. But it's also unfortunately not very good, and the dirty walls and overall meh appearance of the establishment just make it very clear that the hey day for this hotel overall was decades ago. The service was the biggest miss here. Our waitress was scatterbrained, often not around or around but hanging out with co-workers or talking up other customers. It was honestly pretty mystifying because when she DID come by, she was often overly apologetic and trying to make amends. But the best way to make amends is not to have to keep doing that throughout the meal. She forgot my friend's coffee (didn't write anything down when we ordered, which is fine if you remember everything but...) and when my chum asked what was in the hummus (one of just three apps), she didn't know and had to go ask someone in the kitchen. That's arguably a nitpick and she DID try to figure it out, but the lunch menu is pretty small and it was a little odd that her menu knowledge was that limited. The bigger problem was that we were in there for over half an hour longer than we wanted to be because she wouldn't come by our table. I actually actively looked for her on the way to the bathroom so I could remind her to come to our table, but instead found her off to the side gossiping with other staff. Not a good look at all. So this might have been an overall positive experience if some of the hospitality from the hotel had spilled over here. We actually both enjoyed the apps, which were the only real positives of the experience. The Bourbon Barrel Fries and the Two Timer, featuring Smoked Bourbon Hummus (bourbon tends to be the theme of your days in this town, I've found) were both really good, and I probably ate more of those than the actual entree. The fries were cooked perfectly and were well seasoned/addictive. The Hot Brown was fine for what it was (we split it to try). It's basically a dramatic turkey melt, with slices of turkey coated in cheese and other sauces. It also came with strips of bacon on top, which on a personal palate level I didn't think really helped the dish so I barely nibbled on those. It's definitely a solid entry but it wasn't mind-blowing for either of us. Maybe it's just from where we come from in the Northeast, but I'm conditioned to like my turkey with accompanying stuffing, and usually in the latter part of November. I think it felt kind of weird to be eating turkey with warm cheese. But I'm glad we tried it and got the context at least. You might have a completely different experience with better service, but I'd still recommend going upstairs for any dining. It's a much better atmosphere and you can really appreciate where this hotel fits in the chronology of Louisville. You're not going to get that from going here.
