We've gone to biscuits cafe a few times in the past. And the food is consistently great! Read through a few of the reviews and never had any of the issues that some of the other people have had. Had the eggs benedict and pancakes this last go round and everything turned out great. The one thing I would suggest maybe a better of coffee something local like Stumptown would be great. read more

Definitely an it spot on Sunday's. They do get you in fast but was not impressed by the service. I usually tip 20 to 30 percent. I went by myself and maybe that was the problem. Maybe a table for one is an inconvenience for servers or she could have been having a bad day. All I know is that I felt uncomfortable. She brought my food and I didn't see her again until I was almost finished. Then she brought the check didn't tell me who to pay. Never said thank you or even hello when I sat down. Biscuits Cafe is always an alright choice for me when I am craving for some huge portion flavorful breakfast, but too lazy to get out to the SE for more options. It doesn't have the wow effect, but nonetheless, it's FOOD. But my visit the other day had definitely altered my path of brunch hunt - AWAY from this place. First, we arrived on a Tuesday morning (a morning that I didn't expect a lot of customers, but their fandom is still going strong), and a host kindly asked us to wait to be seated while she checked out another customer. Fair enough, right? We waited for a little bit before two other new customers came by, and ANOTHER waitress seated them right away. Oh, and she definitely saw us too, but despite the fact we were not even in the line of paying, she ignored our existence and proceeded with the other customers. That should have been the red flag, but the first host we saw sort of apologized, and we were starving. Strike one. Fast forward to after our orders were taken... I ordered a Cafe Mocha because it is my absolute favorite, and it was a morning when coffee is much needed. After 20 minutes, nothing. It is safe to assume they will serve the coffee first because EVERYONE else around me had a cup before their plates arrived. We were the only ones with an empty table! When we finally got ahold of our server, she simply said "oh right" and was on her way, only to have another server brought me my first cup. Neither. Apologized. For. The. Most. Agonizing. 20. Minutes. Of. Wait. It felt like an hour for me when I was caffeine-less. Strike two. The belated arrival of my first cup messed up my eating, I was too focused on eating absolutely everything on my plate, I didn't get to enjoy the coffee moment, which was supposed to happen while I was waiting for the meal. Ugh, yes, I could have timed it better myself, and here's our last draw - my boyfriend asked for jam to go with his pancakes, the server forgot about it.. AGAIN. We were not able to locate her until he was almost done with his plate (we were both very very hungry I promise). Again, not apologetic when she finally brought the jam over. Score! Can't believe this place has been right around the corner from me for six months and I only just tried it. However, the secret is out in the neighborhood. Biscuits was packed for breakfast on a Saturday morning, with some obvious Biscuits die-hards. We were greeted and seated immediately, and given coffee and water with a quickness. The menu had all the things you'd want to eat for breakfast, eggs and potatoes of all styles, pancakes, steak n eggs, several types of benedicts, and of course BISCUITS! I went for the eggs florentine and it was basically perfect. Layers and layers of fresh tender spinach was complimented by the perfect poached eggs (and I do mean PERFECTLY poached, with the creamy yolk center that isn't too runny) and flavorful hollandaise sauce. The hashbrowns were better than french fries. The service is great, and super speedy. The location is a bit off the beaten path, and in a 'corporate park' type of area, but the cafe is definitely cuter than you'd think. Grab a bite on your way out to Clackamas town center. read more

I love all Biscuits Cafe locations and love this one, too. Food is always as expected (good) and service is generally pretty quick. I've never had any issues with customization for my orders or smaller things like requesting extra napkins. Parking at this particular location has never been an issue for the times I have been, as there are a slew of extra spots nearby, however I could potentially see it being a problem maybe mid-day during the business week. I'm not sure. My party size has only been 1 or 2 people, counting myself, so the wait has never been too bad even when they are busy. But I would recommend expecting a bit of a wait if your party is larger. All in all, I like this location and when I'm nearby I definitely plan to return. read more

I have been coming to this place for about a year now. I used to visit the one that was located on Sandy until they relocated to Gresham. This is now a franchise and I have to say, they have the BEST eggs benedict! I eat eggs benedict at other restaurants but none compare to the delicious creamy eggs benny served at Biscuits. The service there is top notch as well. Servers are friendly, check back during your meal to be sure everything is satisfactory and overall are a welcome distraction over the somewhat surly servers you may find in such a foodie town as Portland I think Biscuits is great - it's one of my favorite places to eat breakfast. read more

I've been to Biscuits a few times and always get the biscuits and gravy which are pretty good. The biscuits are fluffy and not too dense and the outside has a nice crunch. Today I decided to be adventurous and try the chicken and.sweet potato waffles. The chicken was flavorful and cooked well. Wasn't dry inside. I didn't care for the waffles, too sweet for me and slightly overcooked/burnt. I will get the regular waffles next time. Service was ok but I had to ask for coffee refills. read more

5 years ago I would go to the Biscuits in NW Pdx and really enjoyed it. When I lived in AZ we would go once in awhile and had good food and service but after moving back and going to the Johnson Creek one twice we were done. The chicken fried steak is now some formed patty and the pancakes small, cold and bland. They use to be big, fluffy and tasty. The turkey scramble hardly has any meat in it now. My husband and I went to the Biscuits on 91st in Happy Valley. When it was time to get our bill our waitress Sara used the machine on her hip and handed us a bill, and my husband gave her our credit card. He realized the bill was too high ($64 for 2 breakfasts) and told her right away. She realized she had given us another tables bill. She was adamant the charge wouldn't go through as we paid the correct bill. Wrong. Sara remembered the boo-boo but they refused to give us our money back. I spent HOURS talking with the manager, Dustin, and then his boss David. David said there were no charges for the amount we were wrongly charged in the last 6 months of doing business (yah, right), basically calling me a liar. I had to dispute it with my CC company and did finally get my $64 back. A simple "I'm sorry that happened. How can we make it right?" would have been great. Maybe we just had a bad waitress, but the experience turned me completely off to this place. We ate on a Friday morning, and it was fairly busy. We ordered one country omelet to split, an english muffin and a side of bacon. We waited and waited, seeing others order and receive their food that had arrived after us. After seeing our plate reach the window, it sat there for 10 minutes, as the waitress kept passing it, lazily filling coffee and chatting with other tables. She finally approached the plate, touched the gravy with her dirty fake fingernail, told the line cook it was cold, so he added another scoop of gravy. So the plate arrives, with a crusty gravy layer covered with a hot gravy layer. You couldn't even see the plate. Needless to say, I was majorly grossed out. The moral of the story is; yes portions are huge but if you care about food safety, or receiving good customer service, venture elsewhere! The breakfast never disappoints in my experience, the service however is not always spot on. I can only give three stars because of substandard service we received on our most recent visit. We sat at our table for about 15 minutes before Heather, our server, took our drink order. After another 15 minutes our drinks arrived, before Heather could walk away I managed to stop her and let her know we were ready to order our breakfast. The food came out pretty quick and was delicious as always, but as things go our drinks were depleted. We were not checked on once. We were thirsty and needed refills, my 5yo had finished all his juice and just wanted dome water. I didn't even see her walk by to get her attention. When we were done Heather dropped off our bill as she walked by without evrn stopping. I had. To get up and track down a to-go box for my son's food. Even though our breakfast was yummy the service sucked, but we'll return again anyway someday and hopefully have a more pleasant experience. At that point I can amend my rating. read more

Surprisingly good! I've seen this chain around but never bothered to stop by until the other morning at the advice of some friends. Food is great. I like being able to pick any three items and turn them into a combo instead of the standard combos at other places. Very impressed with Biscuits Cafe! My husband and I just moved to the area and had heard great things about this place. The yelp reviews also got me curious, so we had to come visit for breakfast. The place was packed (a good sign), but we got seats right away (also a good sign). Service was fast, considering the place was packed. Our waitress was friendly too, another plus in my book. We sipped our never ending mugs of coffee for a few minutes then finalized our orders. My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy dish. He's never had biscuits and gravy like this before, he was curious to try it out. I ordered something a bit healthier however. I think it was a "choose three items" for a certain price kind of deal. I ordered two scrambled egg whites, turkey bacon and a cup of fruit all for under $8 I believe. Food was quick, and we could see the guys cooking furiously in the back. These guys work so hard, I have to give some props to the cooks making all these goodies. My ridiculously healthy meal was perfecto, just the right amount of everything (and I even finished my place- a rare occasion)! My husband loved his meal too (and the few bites I stole from his place were pretty delish). I'm not giving this place 5 star as I want to save it for a day where I order something a bit more wild. The french toast for example, looked great, with syrup and whipped cream or something similarly outrageous. The pancakes looked delicious too...... What pissed me off was they put all chairs up around us. I almost asked if they wanted to put the 2 chairs we weren't using up also. Felt that we were a burden for being there. Stopped in because we happened to be nearby and getting ready to head out of town, and Biscuits Cafe is conveniently located just steps from I-205. We got there about 2:15 on a Sunday, saw they were closing at 2:30, but opted to go in anyhow: There were many tables still occupied, including a few where it appeared the parties had just been served. So, we were seated and a server arrived pretty quickly. I was hankering fried chicken (long story) and so opted for the Chicken Fried Chicken, with eggs over easy, biscuit, and hash browns. All was ok; nothing was fabulous. (The gravy that topped the chicken was crying out for a bit more spice/flavor.) Husband ordered the Black Oak Mac & Cheese, which is Mac & Cheese topped with kielbasa. He reported the Mac & Cheese to be just ok, but the kielbasa to be quite good. As we got there just as Biscuits Cafe was fixin' to close, they did start to clean up while we were still there -- moving chairs to the tops of tables so they could sweep up, etc. However, they were careful to not do this at the tables directly adjacent to ours (or those adjacent to other tables where others were still eating). This was a gesture we appreciated. All in all, we are not sorry we stopped in. Our meal filled our bellies for our ride back to Seattle -- and the rest of the day. If we happened to be just down the street again, could see revisiting. But, with so many fabulous food options available in Portland, would not go out of our way to do so. read more

I went to Biscuits for the first time the other day. I was meeting a friend who recommended the place for breakfast. I didn't know what was on their menu, but I was really craving Eggs Benedict. I was so happy to see several Benedict options available. I ended up ordering the one with avocado and tomato, but I added a slice of ham to it. It was delicious! It definitely satisfied my craving. We left before our food came. There is no point in eating at this Johnson Creek Biscuits. In 4 years, this was our 3rd attempt hoping they figured out how to serve people, but it was the worst of all. After being seated, we waited 22 minutes to get coffee. We asked twice before they brought cups. An hour later we still did not get our food. The waitress said twice our order was next, but it never came. Waiting so long, we observed the staff. The person bussing tables was using the same dirty rag and not wiping, but moving dirt around from table to table. We are done with this Biscuits and probably others. My wife told them not to bother with the food. They were surprised and one waitress yelled back saying they had a 16 person group. So we are not important? That is not our problem. They should bring in more staff for parties and treat all customers as if they were important. I live in the area and speak with neighbors who also do not go there for the above reasons. I have been a customer since Ron's on 82nd closed. I used to like going here but since there staff decided to lie about what happened and over exaggerate I am leaving a vary bad review with the details of what happened. It happened around a little after 8:30am I was looking forward to having my usual veggie head omelette but by the time I got it. It looked undercooked but I decided to give them the benefit of doubt but after a few bites anyone could tell it was undercooked because the egg yolk was running. I asked the server to have it remade by the time I got the second order was already getting hungry and was looking forward to eating the omelette only to be surprised that it was not fully cooked even though it sure looked fully cooked the server was doing his best but it was not his fault after the second order I decided to get it in scrambled form by the time I got it I was vary hungry and it looked like crap I could barely see any eggs it's though the cook just didn't care but I was hungry so I ate it without saying anything all I said to the server is I feel like an a$$hole for pointing this out several times. Only to find out this Thursday that they want to 86 me because I made a scene but that is further from the truth so since they can't hold there cooks to a decent standard when it comes to handling food I am now ​making a vary bad review it's sad because I used to like going there but now even if I could go back why should I?
