I have to say that this is one of the best breakfast spots in the Clackamas area. The food was amazing. The price and quality fall in line with the size of the food. The service was good. I noticed that when I went with my kids, it was a little busy in the morning. The ambiance was great. Large open interior and the restaurant was very clean. I don't live in the area, but I go out that way often. This is now my new breakfast spot that I need to go to at least once on every trip I come out. Keep up the great work.

So expensive considering how mediocre the food is. The service is good but that's doesn't make up for lackluster food. Honestly it had barely any flavor. Can't really recommend.

We hadn't been into this location since it was Hale's so we decided to give it a try. It still looks a lot like the same place. They had a candied bacon Bloody Mary advertised as a special so of course we had to try them! The candied bacon was fantastic! I would come back just to order one of those with a side of toast. We also ordered a chicken sandwich and a BLT. The staff was pleasant but very slow. There were only 2 other tables occupied in the whole restaurant so it wasn't a "busy" issue. Even getting water took a very long time. Generally drink would be served promptly but I believe there was an issue with getting someone to make the drinks due to age restrictions. Overall the food was good, the drinks with bacon were very good and we would come back when we know we're not on any time restriction to wait longer than average.

Always dependable no matter the location. Had the chicken fried steak which was delicious, cooked perfectly and their gravy was wonderful. Husband had the veggie omelette that nice and refreshing. Great service.

Came all the way from WA for a concert and the next morning my friends n I needed recovery food, this place was the greatest option!!! Food was... ohh my... unbelievably good n fresh!!! Had a lot of options, plus we got sat as soon as we walked in even though they were busy. And our server Jonathan took care of us! Superrr sweet. He even gave us advise on what we should do next. I would rate everything 10/5. Def will b coming again. Thank u Jonathan!

This is your typical family breakfast American diner type of joint. They have booths and tables for up to 4 on average. Pretty sure they can move tables together to accommodate bigger groups if needed. I came here we're a few of my friends so it was fine. Actually came here for both mornings when I was in the area for the weekend. They have a hefty mug of coffee which was much appreciated. The breakfast food was alright. The sausage Pattie's were oddly perfectly round. Kind of looked like hockey pucks. Food was pretty standard. I did try the avocado toast on the second morning I was here. Came with some eggs which I wasn't sure whether I should eat that together with the toast or separately. Pretty sure it was meant to eat separately cause it was a bit messy to add it on top of the avocado toast. Overall, not bad. Didn't get sick, food tasted fine, and it's a nice place to just chill with a giant mug of coffee. It's a solid morning spot.

Solid breakfast spot! Had the COUNTRY BENEDICT which was a different take on eggs Benedict. Included a delicious biscuit with sausage, poached egg, and gravy on top. Hash browns complimented it well. Would definitely come back

EDIT: I'm not sure what has happened at this location but the food has not been great lately. I ordered an omelet that was supposed to have shredded cheese and I got a slab of processed sandwich cheese that was not even melted on my omelet. And the oil that cooked the hashbrowns tastes old. It had a really bad taste.

I really enjoyed the flavors and probably could've gone up a spice level- there is a pepper oil on the table that I dribbled on and really enhanced the flavor. I loved dipping the rice in the juice as well. So good. Very cute inside, and wish I could give the waitress more stars- she was really nice, helpful, attentive, and made really good drinks. I also got the lychee martini to end and it was delicious as well. Very highly recommend to visit. I heard multiple people order the pumpkin curry and may have to come back and give it a try.

We were visiting family in the area and had two people in our group local to the area who had been there several times in the past. We first went and checked in and were told there was a 10-15 minute wait. The hostess was very kind, took our number and sent us to the upstairs bar to wait for a table. We were greeted by a friendly bartender who took our drink orders (cocktails and wine) and we enjoyed our beverages while chatting by the bar. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with large velvet green booths, all new, updated and well done. The drinks were all great. The downstairs hostess came upstairs to let us know our table was ready, and we paid and went downstairs. So far, we were all really happy with our experience. The prices of the drinks were all around $15-20+ but we were all okay with it given the good service (thus far), high end atmosphere, etc. There were people in there but it was a pretty mellow Saturday evening. We were given a nice large area to sit and thanked the hostess. The waitress came and was clearly a little overwhelmed but took our drink orders. I mentioned a drink my husband had upstairs and asked if I could have it, but was told they had a different menu down here and I needed to order from that menu. I looked it over while the others ordered their drinks, and when she came back to me, I asked if I could go upstairs to order the drink I wanted, and bring it down. She said sure. I put in an order for a couple food items with her, and she left. My brother in law kindly offered to go upstairs and order the drink and was gone for quite a long time. We learned that when he was upstairs, he went to the bar and mentioned I wanted a drink from his bar. The bartender's mood shifted and he said he had 10 drinks ahead of my BIL, and asked him to go downstairs to order. My BIL informed him he was told the downstairs bar didn't have the ingredients, and was sent up here. The bartender was annoyed and asked my BIL to go downstairs for 10 minutes and come back again to order. My BIL replied that he was happy to wait at the bar instead and took a seat. After a long while, the bartender curtly said that my BIL would have to pay for the drink up here, which my BIL of course agreed to. My BIL said it was very uncomfortable and the bartender was being rude (a couple sitting at the bar also mentioned this). We are guessing he was overwhelmed and didn't handle it well. He brought the drink downstairs, no problem. We were all sitting for a while and noticed that my BIL never received the beer he ordered from the waitress downstairs. And after about 45 minutes I asked about the food I had ordered (she hadn't checked in with us at all during that time, and I should mention it was not busy at all - several tables open). The waitress said she forgot to put it in. That was it. No offer to quickly put it in, no offer to comp a drink, no real apology. We asked for the bill and split it between two cards. When we got the receipts and cards back, my husband found they had given both him and his brother (the other payer) copies of my husband's receipt-so he assumed he was double charged. He went to the front to bring this to their attention and explained how he was upset by the poor service throughout the evening. He received a quick response that they had printed the receipt twice (didn't charge twice) and were short staffed that evening. We are all understanding people and my sister in law ran restaurants for years, we all had food service jobs and are sympathetic but really just disappointed in this place. I'm writing this review because the employees there just didn't seem to care about the issues we raised. They had an acoustic artist playing that evening who was phenomenal. If you go there on a different day with different staff, I'm sure you'd have a great time. But for the price and ambiance, we really expected better service.

Large groups of older folks are not well-behaved, and often moving tables around, moving people between tables, and the newer servers get lost, get pushed around, and management used to be very good at not tolerating this kind of BS. I am no spring chicken myself, but the entitled behavior and the refusal of management to stand up to people literally grabbing the server, not great, folks. The mega-tables that these folks move around also are obnoxiously loud and all the soundproofing on earth doesn't do much when there's 20 people moving tables around every 15 minutes. This has become consistent on weekday afternoons. I love the burgers. I love the garlic fries. I think the beer's well-priced and the happy hour is pretty good. The thing is...when you can't order a pint because the server can't even get to you, you have a problem. I'll be sticking to take-out for the near future during the afternoon. I'm a working person and letting a bunch of people who don't work shove your employees around is not a good plan. But in the evening, I'll be the first to sign up for a burger and a beer. I'm hoping that having addressed this with management in person and online that there will be some positive change and an improvement...but for now, gotta knock that star off.

There were many large seating area available. One main cedar table was a big attraction. There is a fireplace with a table by it We got a table. I ordered a Borgona, fruit puree juices mix with Sprite. Never had one, but sounded really good. It came and it was delicious and fruity for a mocktail. We ordered a shrimp ceviche and octopus skewers to start out with. The Shrimp Ceviche was very delicious and it was something that I was very happy to share it with my friends. It was a big portion of shrimp cocktail with salsa on the bottom and these large sized blue chips. It was so good that we ate it quickly. Octopus skewers was a tad charred. Yet very delicious especially if you eat it with the pineapple together. Brings out the flavor of the pineapples quite well. We ordered the Pork Belly Tacos and Mole Shrimp Tacos which came in 3. I absolutely loved street tacos filled with good fresh ingredients. And both of these hot the spot. The pork belly was an absolute great flavor of the pork belly. The Shrimp was delicious. Cook perfectly and easy to devour quickly. DeFuego Nachos had Jalapenos. But wasn't listed. The nachos were delicious and it was quickly devoured. Wings came in 4 wings with garlic parmesan with carrots and celery and ranch on the platter. Heavily garlic on the wings yet very delicious. Half wedge salad was a surprise how much there is in the salad. A lot of fresh veggies there with cherry tomatoes and sliced radishes in it. I had a absolutely fun experience celebrating my birthday here. DeFuego had Happy Hour from 3pm to 6pm, seven days out of the week. Seems the Happy Hour here is very popular. Shoot. Last night I took my boyfriend here to celebrate a special event & we left so disappointed!…read moreWe got there at 7:15 & we were stuck there for over 2 hours! I ordered 2 things and both came out wrong. Our waitress spoke very loudly and we could hear her having long personal conversations with people a couple tables away from us for 10+ minutes at a time, several times. While we waited for her, we ran out of water a few times and I had to ask for more. It was over an hour before our order was even taken. We did flag her down to order an appetizer, brussel sprouts with cheese on the side due to a dairy allergy, but... the sprouts came out with cheese on them. They corrected this fairly promptly, but then we sat for another 45 minutes before our order was actually taken. I ordered a steak as "somewhere between medium & medium well" and she correctly repeated my order back to me "medium/medium well." When the steak came out, it was WELL well done. Like, burnt. I wanted to send it back, but I didn't want to deal with the embarrassment or have to wait even longer for food. We were about an hour & 45 minutes into dinner by the time we got our food. I was so disappointed! I also wanted to get dessert to celebrate the occasion but the service was SO slow that we had to cancel our after-dinner plans. We ordered it anyway & requested the check promptly, giving up on our plans for the rest of the evening. We were only a party of 2, we arrived early for our reservation, & we watched several larger parties come and go while we waited for our order to even be taken. It was a Wednesday night and not overly busy, there were several empty tables, so I'm not sure what the hold up was. We were also seated at an odd table next to the kitchen with a small divider between us and the staff. It was noisy and I even heard 2 staff members exchange a joke about how someone else had left & said they'd never come back. They laughed about it. I wish I had the guts those people had to get up & leave! I've never once left less than a 20% tip and felt immense guilt not tipping well, but after experiencing the poor service then also hearing the staff blatantly acknowledge it & not care.... I was appalled. The Hilton bought the hotel attached to De Fuego and I'm shocked. This was a Monarch hotel before and I'd assume that the Hilton's standards would be higher but the service and quality here have tanked hopelessly low since the acquisition. I had a similar experience at The Underground before it closed. I've learned my lesson & won't come here for a special occasion again.
