I've been in the food and beverage industry my whole career so I know what defines excellent service. Jonathan is just that. He has a sense of urgency that runs circles around the rest of them. I knew I wanted more coffee, boom there he was. We were about to ask about for our chocolate milk, bam - it hits the table. He came back multiple times to bring back extra napkins or check on us. His smile was infectious and he genuinely wanted you to enjoy and your meal and experience. Give this man a bonus!! He is everything we look for in service when we go out to eat. The inside is your basic diner/cafe. Its buzzing with what I assume to be locals and a few casuals like my lady and I. Despite the fast paced environment we were seated upon entering the restaurant. Things smelled and looked great as we were escorted to the back of the restaurant and over to our seats. Our waitress was very pleasant and informative which I liked, and it's what would make me give this spot another try next time I'm in town. NOW, the most important part....THE FOOD. On the yelp picks, it looks mouth watering. Overall, it's a solid three out of five for me. The pancakes which is what I wanted most appeared fluffy, moist and supple if that's the right word (I thought they were ready to soak up some syurp)...NOPE. The were golden but hard like they'd been sitting for a while. My opinion, a diner can't mess up pancakes. It came with bacon(decent) hashbrowns(soaked in grease barely a crisp top) and eggs (mediocre/basic). My lady had the French toast and to my surprise she said she shared the same experience in taste as I did with my pancakes. Food was good but service was horrible. We waited almost an hour to get our food. It was just 2 of us... I noticed others who were sat after us had gotten there food 1st.. while we waited for our food not once did any server ask if I wanted a refill of my coffee or water or ask us how we were doing or let us know when our food will be out.. Mind you we were just sitting there for almost an hour waiting for our food... we sat there for so long with no one even checking in, I was very close to leaving and going somewhere else. Omg! What a gem! My love and I was absolutely impressed, and happy that my spirit led me to look on yelp for a new place to eat breakfast instead of going to Cracker Barrel. Literally 4 minutes from home sat a clean & friendly restaurant that had a menu so appealing that It was hard to decide from (& Im a picky eater.) service was great & Food was great! As soon as we walked in we were greeted nicely and immediately were asked for our drink order. The mimosas were so yummy. The young lady who made them for me, made it very good with a nice orange garnish(she made it pretty) I wish I got her name to put here, but Jonathan was our server, who was very attentive & helpful from initiation. I'd strongly suggest eating at this establishment /location. It was worth every penny and we left so satisfied continuing to say whew, that was so good! we need a nap. We will definitely be back! The food is pretty good. The service is great. But... I took my mom who's in her 90's and there's no senior menu???! Really?? I asked if she could order off the junior menu and they made a huge deal out of that so she ordered off the regular menu ate very little and left the rest. So if I do go back I won't be taking her. Saw this place go in a while ago and we were hungry for breakfast and decided to give it a go. First off understaffed bigtime. Saturday late morning and we had a 40 minute wait just to be seated. Not good. After they finally get us a table the server shows up and does his thing, he's actually not bad so we make our beverage orders without issue. We have a party of five so the order is a mix of stuff. I have the special stuffed French toast. That's were I went wrong this French toast is pretty flavorless. Cream in the middle is blah just add some Damn seasonings and we would have been good. Wife had eggs Benedict which had over cooked poached eggs. Strike two. The three teens actually said their food wasn't horrible, burger waffle Avocado toast. Then the bull comes and it's $90. I'm like wow mediocre food for a lot of money is not my idea of a good dining experience. Probably won't be back unless some changes are made. Good day! read more

Excellent as always. Way to much food for a human body, but they try. The kielbasa was done to perfection with the 2 black grill lines running down the sides. Hash brown extra crispy (as ordered) scrambled eggs, not to wet and not to dry, again, just how I like them! And 2 giant fluffy pancakes! I used to absolutely love biscuits back when there was just the one off johnson creek blvd. This was my first trip with my family to this location since it opened and this was a nosedive compared to what I knew of Biscuits. I ordered the southwest style scramble, the eggs werent cooked very well, the fat from the chorizo was pooling on the plate, the red potatoes i got with it werent all the way done. My girlfriend got the chicken fried steak that easily got pulled out of a freezer and dropped into the fryer, tasted like cardboard. Our children got chocolate waffles and banana pancakes which were ok but nothing more than a pre made batter. All but our youngest with the banana pancakes had almost 80% of our food left on our plate and no one ever asked if something was off, they just asked if we needed boxes and moved on. When we finally were leaving and got up to the counter to pay, when asked how our food was, i replied "meh it was ok, but not great" and the hostess just said "ok" and told me my total. After this trip I will no longer be dining at biscuits. Sharis is the same quality of food for cheaper and no different of an environment. read more

Easter Sunday. Was at a closed restaurant across the street from Biscuits. Called them to see if they were open. Evasive response 'about 20 minutes more'. By the time I drove across the street they were turning away a group of customers at 1:25pm. They locked the door on us and put up a closed sign. Biscuit's Cafe has always been one of my favorite spots to come in and get breakfast. The service is amazing, and they always stay on top of helping customers and meeting the customers needs, one server in particular, Jonathan, has always been amazing, he always has a good attitude and is always keeping up on making sure the customer is happy. I always have been very pleased coming into this restaurant. The food is great, the people are great, the servers are great. The prices are great for what you're getting. When I ordered and paid online I came and had to wait several minutes to be helped. Once I was helped the cashier tried to make me repay for my order. I ordered banana pancakes and compared to the picture it came with no chocolate syrup, had three sad piece of banana that were placed on top of the eggs. I was so excited for a breakfast joint in Milwaukie and I was so grossed out. The serves are all wearing black gloves I was seated in the corner where I could see into the kitchen I watched my serve pull dirty plates walk them over to the bin then hear her name get called walk up to the kitchen window and run food out. She never changed her gloves or washed her hands after touching dirty dishes. The serve that brought us out our food had my husbands toast touching their very dirt shirt. read more

I've been to a couple other Biscuits Cafe locations and this new spot is as good if not better in some respects. I can't comment on the in person dining experience because I had take out because of COVID. I can say the staff was exceptionally friendly and my order deviated considerably from the menu items to accommodate vegetarian options. I'm throughly impressed with an establishment that has managed to open during COVID and is providing a wonderful alternative for breakfast and lunch in the area. Great job! Tried the new Milwaukie location today and definitely give it ! I was impressed with all the gluten free options available to me! The food was fabulous, the staff was friendly, and they're taking all the necessary precautions for safety right now. Only seating every other table, clearly marking tables that have been sanitized, etc. As we were leaving the owner/manager (not sure which) came over to thank us for coming in and for dining in...very nice.
