Ultimate bacon biscuit. So much bacon

Gotta bring the average up. This place is lit omfg. Scarp all that hipster upscale brunch garbage, gimme some straight southern breakfast. Absolutely love it. Biscuits arent as flaky as the pictures but still worth it. Hash browns are perfect. Biscuits and gravy very good. My cat who loves to make biscuits would love this place. 10/10 would come back. You need to come here to experience NC properly

    Supppossed to be bacon....

Saturday morning.... Nobody else in line.... And this is the shitty excuse I get for a biscuit. What issss that?! Of course no napkins. About 8 employees.... And all of them discussing what they did or didn't drink for the day.... Worried about everything but the customer...or product they are sending out.... Sorry excuse of a place.

This place tends to be super busy between 8am-11am! I advice not going during those times- go before or after. Otherwise, service is not bad at all! They're very quick and precise with their orders. The manager Dondre Bonnet is also extremely nice and caring! You can tell he cares about the customer satisfaction of this place. The inside is usually extremely clean. The food is pretty good! They have many to choose from. Though I'm not a fan of their eggs, I am all for the steak biscuit! Also LOVE their blueberry muffins. They tend to change it seasonally so they currently have the peach so it's alright but I cannot wait for their red velvet to be back on!!

Biscuit (pronounced /bskt/) is a baked edible product. In American English it relates to a small soft leavened bread, somewhat similar to a scone Ville (French pronunciation: [vil]) is the modern French word of Latin origin now meaning city or town, but the first meaning in the middle-ages was farm (from Latin villa rustica) and then village. HOLY. TOLEDO. What we have here, is an entire town dedicated to biscuits crammed into a small building with a drive-thru. Biscuitville might not be the most amazing breakfast in the world, but I think it is king of all drive-thru breakfasts out there. It's also not very healty, but not much drive-thru food is. The biscuits are delicious. When you get a meal, you can get your sandwich with fries, hash browns, or grits. I've only gotten the hash browns, and they are always nice and crisp. They are open till 2 and I prefer their breakfast to any other nearby drive-thru (McDonalds, Bojangles). I think I went inside once... and remember it being kinda grimy... I would stick to the drive-thru. Biscuitville is a Carolina-based company. Support local businesses!!!

There is plenty of parking on the backside of the building, paid parking out front, and be careful not to park in the apartment spaces on the side...they sounded pretty serious about towing. I had made a reservation but it was probably unnecessary as it was pretty empty when we arrived (it was about 5pm on a Saturday.) The waitress brought a bottle of water to the table and took our drink order. And I know that this place is literally call it's a Southern thing but can I mention how much I dislike drinking out of mason jars? I ordered the chicken n biscuits, my husband got the country hamburger steak plate, my BiL got wings, and my SiL got the crabcakes. We also orders charred jalapeno & sweet corn hushpuppies and frickles as an appetizer. I was VERY excited about my food. Y'all...the only thing that impressed me were the Frickles. Everything else was distinctly underwhelming. I also ordered Blackberry Betta Have My Money which was not that great. My SiL ordered a espresso martini that they said didn't come from a mix but she said it tasted like it was. The bathrooms were very clean. The decor and the vibe were great. Cute even. I really enjoyed that part of it. After dropping off our food, we never saw our waitress again unless we flagged her down for drink refills. It was especially frustrating since there was automatic gratuity added. And since the place wasn't that busy, it felt like she didn't feel the need to earn her automatic tip. Overall I was disappointed in my birthday dinner. I won't be coming back here.

We made a reservation and were seated upon arrival. Our host was Anthony, I think his name was, with a keen interest for ginkgo trees. He was very attentive, friendly and extremely helpful. He took her order and had some good suggestions. I was craving shrimp and grits which was probably the most unique shrimp and grits. I've had ever. Very distinct flavor and still very rich and familiar. The shrimp were large and juicy as well as remained crunchy overall cooked very well. We also had the summer tomato and burata salad which was really refreshing and delicious. My friend ordered the mac and cheese which is a hefty serving size. Definitely a shareable side or a main for one person. Our host came to check on us frequently, our Waters never went empty. Other hosts were also helping check in on us which was nice. The restaurant itself is large. Booth tables available, which made for a cozy environment. We ended the night with some brownie a la mode, which was the perfect dessert to have on a hot summer day. Overall the experience was amazing, great food and incredibly nice people. Definitely Miss miss the southern hospitality of Durham. Definitely recommend a try here at plum Southern kitchen & bar.

The menu had recently changed so we got to try quite a few new items. We tried the panzanella- sweet corn, red beans, heirloom tomato, patty pan squash, pea tendrills, and a roasted red pepper vinaigrette. This dish was my favorite of the night- small but shareable, entire dish was refreshing and all the flavors and textures went together so well. For dinner I ordered the roasted chicken and the baked mac and cheese with bacon. The roasted chicken was juicy and tasty, and a bit sweet with the bourbon ginger and plum reduction, but the mac and cheese seemed dry and overcooked. We also ordered the buttermilk cheddar biscuits- that taste slightly undercooked (in a good way), so the texture was soft and chewy (and amazing). The honey butter and large maldon salt granules made the biscuits perfect. They were so good we ordered a second order!! I would definitely return to Plum, for both the food and hospitality.

They had a jazz band playing which at times got a little too loud to have conversation. Other than that, I enjoyed them. I ordered a seasonal drink and the Bacon wrapped meatloaf. Unfortunately, every time since it has gotten progressively worse. The food has still been good but the service, atmosphere and cleanliness almost made me leave this past visit. And it takes A LOT for me to want to leave. Sat down and my glass had lip stains all over it. Our waitress was not attentive and I didn't even have time to ask for a new glass before she left us. Took another hour for our half sandwiches and small salad for the lunch specials to come out. Gave the wrong dressing and when asked to get the correct dressing the waitress was rude. Also, had to ask for the canned beer she forgot. The food is always good here but the cleanliness and service is hurting this establishment. I would really encourage them to take away automatic gratuity. Even though I always tip and typically do 20% most restaurants that add it you can count on getting bad service. I don't know if I'll keep giving this place more chances, which is a pity because I always recommend it to friends and family.

I was going to order the creole gumbo, but found out when I came in that it was a seafood gumbo today not their regular one. Oh well. So I ordered jambalaya with a side of red beans and rice. Both were good but a little dry and I've had better nearby. The fresh catch of the Day was Amber Jack, and I love that fish, so maybe I should've ordered that in a Poboy. Having been huge fans of North Carolina style BBQ, we were not disappointed. My wife and daughter enjoyed the Pork Plate. By for me, I went with the two meat combo with Pulled pork and brisket. The pulled pork was spot on. It was perfectly smoked and almost melted in my mouth. With a touch of spicy vinegar sauce, I was gone to Carolina in my mind for the rest of the day. The brisket might have been some of the best I've ever had. It had a nice fat layer and was also "melt in your mouth" and juicy. The brisket didn't need any sauce at all. It was that good. The hushpuppies were the star at the table. My family considers themselves to be connoisseurs of hush puppies, and these were ranked in the top five. A respectable ranking from such a discriminating hushpuppy panel. The sides we sampled included collard greens, mac and cheese and BBQ beans. The collards and Mac and cheese were out of this world. I should have ordered a double serving of the collards. However, the beans were a huge disappointment. They were more like a bowl of sub-par chili than BBQ beans.
