The food here is very reasonable. Where else can you get butter chicken that's authentic and good for $8.95. Wow. Also their chicken wings are unbelievably tasty. I don't really like spicy things, but somehow these don't bother me. The food is very reasonable and I often get it off of DoorDash, which is the same price actually as it is in the restaurant. Same with Uber eats. The people that work here work hard and they're friendly. It's always really busy and my order is always ready if I order ahead. I haven't dined in the new new restaurant, but it does look very nice. I take food to go. My husband has ADHD and just doesn't like eating out so I bring it home that way we can spend more time with our fur kids.

Food was hot, spicy, flavorful I DID NOT want to leave. Several of the tasty treats and pastries are displayed right in front of you. Sooo tempting. I wanted one of each!!! Please note, there are three locations next door to each other. There's a market, street food - takeout only, and a sit down. I've been to the takeout, many moons ago. Decided to try the restaurant like spot. Now, it's not five star ambiance at all. But the food is phenomenal. I had a fish wrap and two veggie samosas. Best darn samosas I've ever had. And I've had my share. Homemade and not. The samosas were not just mashed potatoes, peas or chickpeas. It was the flavor and the right exterior. And it's served with a green sauce. Immaculate. Parking and driveway. Hey, it's a little rough. But again the food. Hope you like it as much as I did. Oh and the price, $13 for my food and drink. Hot and ready. Yeah I'll be back. Going back for the wings. There like a dollar each wing.

Everyone loved the Veggie Samosa and Meat Samosa!

If I could give more than five stars, I would! I specifically drove alllll the way from Smyrna to Bismillah Cafe strictly for their samosas based on reviews, and they did not disappoint! I needed a batch of 30 for a student meeting and requested half veggie and half chicken. It also came with their own special sauces. The location was easy to find and I was able to pay for my food over the phone. When I got there, my order was ready to go. I was interested in trying one of their desserts and they were kind enough to let me try one. Fast forward to the next day when I brought it to my students (6th-8th grade), they absolutely loved it! I warmed them up in the microwave as advised and you could still taste the rich spices and flavors used to create this dish. I'm glad I hid some for myself because they ate everything that I put out!

This really hit the spot! I think this is probably the best biryani I've had and the green sauce just brings everything to the next level. They give you a lot of meat and it's well incorporated into the rice so practically every bite has some. The veggie samosas are pretty standard, standard being delicious, and they're so cheap. And the naan is super good too. One order gives you like four pieces. Not only are the prices pretty cheap, but the sizes are huge. We got the large biryani plate, ate our fill, and had leftovers for the next day. And the workers are so friendly too!

I love Indian food and when I say that i love this place haha!! Their food is chef's kiss! They renovated and looks so much better, everyone is very friendly too~ I have had good Indian food elsewhere but this is definitely in my top 3 places to go when I'm craving anything Indian! Love their tikka masala and their chicken biryani!

Despite me patronizing numerous Indian, Pakistani, Nepali, Sri Lankan, Burmese, and other restaurants devoted to various neighboring regional cuisines, this was my first time trying a Bangladeshi restaurant. Apparently Atlanta's suburbs must host a decent community because there are several such businesses in a small stretch. I tried the most established one. I was pleased to discover that ordering online offered a robust 25% off the list price. My GPS took me to a market with a small takeout inside, but apparently online orders are sent to a separate restaurant next door. This would seem to be a common issue, but even they seemed a bit confused by the situation. I walked across the beat up parking lot to the other building and found my food waiting. While the cuisine of Bangladesh appears to be less vegetarian-friendly than most of the subcontinent, I thought it would be worth trying their take on biryani. I was right. A luxuriously spiced creation that reminds you that this is the part of the world where spices come from, this dish excites the tastebuds. I was a little miffed there was no chickpeas or other beans thrown in for more protein content, but it was delicious enough that I didn't care. A samosa was tasty as most of them are, but was notably enhanced by a complex hot sauce. My separate ordered of chickpeas was strongly flavored and spicy as well. I got a ton of food for my money, and despite the limitations of this place, it was an interesting experience. I may be inclined to try out its neighbors before I return to see what else the cuisine has to offer.

Amazing food and one of the most hospitable owners I've ever met! I got the chicken tikka curry and a samosa, and both were incredibly delicious. I will absolutely be getting more samosas next time, as they're only $1! The curry was $12.99 - the value at this place is off the charts. The owner would address customers as "brother" or "sister" and checked in on my friend and I to see if we needed anything. I felt so welcomed and got to chat with the owner briefly. He's been in business for 20+ years and lives locally in the Chamblee/Doraville area. Atmosphere is hole in the wall vibes and I love it. A local gem that has earned a spot in my favorites. To clarify some potential confusion - there's Bismillah Cafe, and then right next door is Bismillah Market that ALSO serves what I presume to be the same exact menu. We, not realizing the difference, went to Bismillah Market where it looked like most people were only taking out from. The market location is tiny and has very limited seating. It looked like the cafe had much more space and looked more like a restaurant than a hole in the wall. The owner said his brother runs the cafe, and he runs the market!

They were friendly and food came out within 10 minutes. We got chicken Tikka masala, lamb Briyani, and garlic naan. The lamb was soft and we requested mild, so the flavor was light. We thought the dishes were relatively enjoyable for a quick take out situation, but the flavors/seasoning were on the light side. The garlic naan didnt have much of a garlic kick, which made it underwhelming. The main dishes were like $12-15. The prices appear to be the same as years ago! It looked like they were under construction with chairs out front. The interior could use some washing/cleaning around the walls and doors. Yes, this spot is a little rough and primarily does catering. But once you get pass all of this,…read morethe food will wow you. This place is quite a hole in the wall. The Indian television show the owners had on makes everything more authentic. One Yelper was on point when she said there's an explosion of flavors. I usually hold expectations low to not be disappointed. But the food did wow me! It was like Indian food on steroids with the flavors. They did not hold back. The palak paneer was really good. The green stuff (spinach) was finely minced and oh so good with the paneer. Even the paneer was pretty flavorful even for such a simple dish. But then again it was smothered in the super flavorful sauce with whatever crazy seasoning they made it in. The lamb curry was super duper spicy. Flavorful, yes. Spicy, check. It was a lingering spice that was bearable but can accumulate and leave you wanting to pour milk over your tongue. It's sort of a hybrid of spicy in its flavor and hotness level. Your taste buds will most definitely explode with this pick. I'm sort of a wimp when it comes to spicy stuff. This was on the borderline of yes, I like it but a maybe on trying it again. There were two container sizes that they offered that were stuffed to the brim: regular and large. These two dishes came with rice so it made everything really filling. The garlic naan was really good too. Though it was a bit overheated as it was hard, but the flavor still shows through.

Hooray! A genuinely refreshing addition to our West Midtown rotation is here - and it's de-licious!…read more We planned our visit to give time for any opening friction points to smooth out, because we wanted to love this place right from the start. An Indian fusion tasting menu? Yes please! I'm glad we did, because our overall experience was really good. Firstly, in addition to the tasting menu, they have a great range of dishes and some happy hour specials too. The only less-than-awesome moment was our arrival. We were first in line at the host stand, at the very beginning of dinner service, with a reservation. However, we had to wait as a group behind us was welcomed and seated. The host was the only person all evening who wasn't warm or welcoming - it was a chilly arrival experience, with parking validation friction and would have put me off from the start if the servers hadn't saved it from there on out. We were seated close to the pass, which was a fun spot to watch both the kitchen and front of house teams at work, as well as a comfy booth from which to observe the rest of the space (including snooping at other diners' plates - for inspiration, of course). The server seemed surprised that we (as first-timers) went straight to the tasting menu, but quickly got organized and the drinks were with us within a few minutes. She was very present, explained everything really well, and handled my weird ingredient questions and preferences super well. The food was ahmahzing. 13 dishes in just over an hour - phew. Favorites and standouts included: - Green Papaya Salad: fresh, tangy and crunchy - Crispy Broccoli: vegetables never tasted this good. - Potato Dosa: too filling for a tasting menu, but the second-best bite on the menu - Dal Makhni: black lentils, creamy-dreamy and the best dish of the night. - Turmeric Fish: no idea what fish it was, but it was shockingly good. - Sticky Date Cake: yes, this is the British-originated sticky toffee pudding of my dreams, and beats anything I've had in the UK. Huge compliments to our server (Brett - she was amazing), the kitchen and to the management, who were very present all evening, checking in with subtlety and never overdoing it. I'm going to have to wait a few weeks to stop feeling so full, then I'll be back for a tour of the rest of the menu. I can't wait to bring out of town visitors; Ghee has brought West Midtown the type of southern-hospitality-meets-global-cuisine moments I have been hoping for. Welcome to Atlanta, team Ghee!
