Had lunch at bisQit a few weeks ago. It's was the perfect early Fall day to eat on the back deck. Good and service were very good. The most original item on the menu was a boozy milkshake! Had to try it, had the banana milkshake, did not disappoint. Only thing I was a little disappointed was the fresh tuna salad. Everything about the salad was very good, except the cut of the fish, very sinewy and they didn't sear it enough (although I just wanted it seared quickly on both sides, still it just didn't work). I'd have to give that a pass, but I'd go back and check out other items on the menu. read more

Stopped here for a late breakfast. The place is a little hard to find, but is in the hammock shops. We ordered the country store biscuit and a breakfast burrito. Both were delicious! My only critique is that our homefries were a little undercooked for us. Loved the music that they played as well! Looks like a great place to grab lunch or dinner too. I just had to write about this place as my first ever Yelp review. I had the Smokehouse Burger and it was one of the best burgers I have ever had. It had a great flavor and it was huge! Definitely recommend adding a side of fries because they were crispy and zesty. I also had the Bananas Foster milkshake which was tasty but the alcohol was a little too strong for me. Food is AMAZING! The wait can be long during the busy season, but the service is good and the food is great. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because there are flies in the restaurant. If you want good food, a creative drink and a lot of fun, Bisqit is meant for you! We went with friends for an early dinner on a Thursday evening. We were greeted and seated right away (wasn't too crowded at 6:30pm, but it was almost jammed by the time we left an hour or so later). Our server was prompt and very personable. Gourmet burgers are a long way from the ordinary some burger joints provide, no matter how well prepared. The appetizers are huge and well worth the $$. But the real stars are the spiked milk shakes - they're a real hoot! One word of caution, though, they are addictive and can sneak up on you if you're not careful. The Krabby Patty is basically Chum Bucket scum when it comes to Bisqit. This is by far the best burger I've ever had. I ordered the American Beauty. Yal, it had BACON JAM on it. Bacon jam, folks. We landed on this little gem unexpectedly. You seldom expect a restaurant categorized as "burgers, barbeque" to be so veg-friendly, but bisQit delivered for both my critter-lite needs and my sweetie's omnivorous preferences. I eat seafood, I love seafood, but I was getting a little tired of seafood by day four of our seashore stay, and I was yearning for something from the land, so when we hit up the menu posted outside the restaurant, we knew we'd scored. Vegans will sigh in relief, and vegetarians will outright cheer. The gluten-free will do a happy dance. This is that kind of place. We started with a to-die-for chipotle guacamole from the list of specials. The chips were puffed and flaky, and they tended to fall apart when we tried to break them (to maximize guacamole transport without double dipping), but they had a great flavor and texture. The guac, though -- oh, the guac -- had us telling each other that *this* is going to inspire our next homemade one. I enjoyed my vegan beet and sweet potato burger, which I ordered with avocado, sauteed mushrooms, and tomato. It was tasty but very soft. In the middle of a vegan desert (that is indeed "desert," not "dessert"), I need to make myself pay attention to the flaws of a dish that I really, really want to be good because otherwise, half of what I enjoy is the relief of having found it at all. So in that context, was it good? Absolutely. Was it outstanding? Erm... I've had more outstanding veggie burgers. Sweet potato is kind of a strong flavor to make a burger out of, so I think the important thing is to get yourself in the mindset of "I'm ordering a sweet potato (with beets and other stuff)," rather than "I'm ordering a burger." If that sounds appetizing, then please feast up; you'll enjoy. The side options had been chips, cole slaw, or pasta salad, but I asked for fries for a dollar more. They were perfectly salted -- so much so that I didn't want to tarnish them with ketchup. Sweetie had a salad -- I think the "Gatherer," hold the tomatoes -- with a beef burger on top. She loved it, too, but the guacamole and the fries were the parts we were mmm-ing over the longest. read more

Porch area is big area for eating and view of the outside and has AC/Heat. Inside is small but has good seating and even a bar area. Good selection of handcraft beers. My family and I ate at bisqit while on vacation in Pawleys Island and loved it. The place is known for its burgers and shakes but they also have other sandwiches as well as entrees and salads. The appetizers list was also good. The menu is super fun because basically you can build your own burger and shake. You can make it vegan, add all the veggies or none a all, make it grass fed beaf instead of angus, add the house made sauces... etc. Just be prepared to pay extra for all the little add ons. This place is also family friendly, they have a great kids menu. The beer and wine list was great as well. This restaurant has a bar with TV's but it also has regular seating away from the bar and the TV's if you're not into that kind of thing. We enjoyed it and will come back again. We also loved the shopping center where the restaurant is located. read more

Didn't expect something this wonderful to be hidden within the hammock shoppes in Pawleys island. The rustic look of the menu, options for grass fed meat, and the prices lured us in. We got a little nervous when the host lead us into the patio area on a hot 95 degree day, but the surrounding trees provided a lot of shade. That and the breeze provided by the ceiling fans made it... tranquil. Until a huge plate of delicious looking fries topped with gooey melty cheese and bacon crumbles found its way to our table. I seriously did not anticipate such a huge tray of fries. For the entree we decided to split the "House Burger" - Braised pork belly, an onion ring, horseradish white cheddar, spring mix, and tomato (opted for the grass fed beef from a local farm for a $1 up charge). pleased with how the brioche bun didn't become soggy as i was eating it. BisQit earned my business for 3 meals on to recent trip to Pawleys! Enjoyed the falafel patty burger, southeastern style on a bisqit so much I wanted to get breakfast. Came back for the litchfield biscuit sandwich (Fried chicken, bacon, cheddar, apple butter) and was not disappointed. Biscuits are perfectly made flaky, buttery biscuits and every ingredient is top notch. Smoky neuskies bacon...flavorful falafel...fresh apple butter...perfectly seasoned fries (you don't even need a dipping sauce!) Oh and don't miss the spiked shakes! Cookies and Cream with Kahlua - an amazing finish to the meal (actually I ordered mine as an appetizer and sipped it throughout the meal!) Friendly wait staff and bartenders. Inside and porch seating. TVs to catch the game. This place is now my favorite PI place for a meal and I will be back! I used to be a loyal Eggs Up Grill breakfast eater and Carolina Wings and Ribs for dinner (now closed). I think BisQit and Quigleys may be the only restaurants I visit from now on! read more

Along with the Bloody Mary comes a plate of pickled vegis, you really can't ask for more. The burgers are excellent and many great combinations to choose from. Great place to take the entire family while out shopping. I was initially worried whether or not it was kid friendly as we have a 3yr old and a 9 month old but our worries were for naught. The patio area is great for kids and just about every other table had young children. Now on to the food - as you can see in the pics the burgers are monsters and they are delicious. I went with the chicken Bisqit which was good but I'd go burger next time. The pickled veggies appetizer was very good but be warned they have a little kick. I also got to try the cheese fries which were fantastic. I'd probably have given the place a 4 based on food alone but based on atmosphere and a management that actually seems to care about its customers it deserves an extra star. This is definitely the place to go when visiting the hammock shops. read more

A great burger on a rain shortened day at the beach. Had the pretzel appetizer with queso which was outstanding. First time having Cheerwine since I am from points west of the Carolinas, it was a good accompaniment with the meal. A bubbly cherry soft drink not available in the Ohio Valley. One in our party had their burger on a biscuit, a bbq-ish sort of thing. It works, a good Southern biscuit that was gauged to match the burger patty. We found this place tucked back in the center of little shops at Pawley's Island area along the route in between Murrell's Inlet to Myrtle Beach. This place has very good fried chicken with light breading. My husband ordered the Smokehouse hamburger with jalapeño bacon and was pleasantly pleased with the flavor. The onion rings are large and he didn't like it on his burger. That was fine with me...I got to try it and it was good! My daughter ordered the wrap with ham and it was a bit too salty. The staff was very friendly. It wasn't very busy when we stopped. All the shops around this restaurant were closed, I wonder what it's like when they are open. read more

While at Pawley's Island looking for an interesting dinner place and found this on Yelp (with its location we would never have found it by driving around). Burgers, shakes, and other simple menu items. I tried the Southeastern burger (had never seen a "southeastern" burger on a menu before). These were great, reasonably priced burgers. We added fries for a dollar more and they were great as well. Not an average burger!! Location was nice and the restaurant was not fancy, but very nice. Friendly staff and servers. A large plate covered in hand-cut fries smothered in a cheese blend and nice thick bacon pieces. Divine. Short description, short evaluation, buy no need to embellish. Heck, even the ranch was extra-tasty. I had the breakfast burger which was a wonderful conglomeration, a merger of sausage and ground beef all mushed together (yes, mushed) and placed lovingly on an oversized english muffin with bacon/egg/cheese (I asked for smoked gouda instead of the standard American). This, dear readers, was, I'm not going to say the ultimate burger as I doubt I will get to taste the ultimate burger until the sweet by-and-by, but it may have been as close as I've come so far to that fabled ultimate burger. Honestly, I'm sitting here thinking about this meal and calculating how long it would take me to drive back to the coast to have another. My wife had a burger with pimiento cheese and bacon jam that was, by all accounts, stellar. My son had a bacon cheeseburger which he loved and my daughter enjoyed a cinnamon bisqit. We stopped here after a warm morning on the beach in Pawleys Island. Seated right away and super accommodating to a toddler. The kids menu is the most extensive and reasonably priced we have seen in the area. We really enjoyed the Hoisin Shrimp Wrap and the BLT grilled cheese (L is for Lobster!). The salted caramel shake was fantastic as well. Only complaint is that the fries were a little soggy. Have seen other reviews for breakfast....would not hesitate to return. read more
