We took a break from perusing The Hammock Shops to refuel here, and we were very glad we did! It was during Covid, and the place was clean. The tables were socially distanced, and all of the staff members were wearing face masks. The food was delicious! Among the three people in my family, we ordered the Portlandia (sweet potato and beet burger), the Southeast burger (burger with country ham and pimento cheese), and the Nashville Hot Chicken Tacos. Can you say biscuit-galore! The biscuit are dense but taste light. I got the chicken and biscuit which was the best of both world since I was completing between biscuit and gravy and chicken. Yummy little lunch place in a cute shopping center with art and small boutique businesses. The biscuits were huge and very good. Also the burgers can be served on greens as opposed to bread. The location and the area is amazing. I heard about the burgers in large biscuits so I decided to try. I ordered burger French fries and coleslaw. I was not impressed with the burger. Seemed very regular beef patties. The coleslaw was just ok. The fries were not even hot. My wife got Jimmy Chonga. She enjoyed it. My daughter had classic bacon and cheese burger. First time here. The outside looks like a older house, no problems of finding this place. Adequate parking in the back area. Hostess sat us quickly. Our server was quick, precise w the menu. We ordered the house burger medium rare and the deluxe burger. I made a decision to pick a table inside right at the corner. Don't sit here. Table is right next to two doors. One that goes out to the patio dining and the other one to the bathroom. Lol. Place was getting crowed, obviously by the reviews and local people who knows this place. Food was Delicious. We were very impressed with the food and wait staff. I would put this a level above fast food. Interesting combinations of salads, soups, burgers and a few unusual selections plus key lime pie. Lovely! A little difficult to find... just look for the Hammock Shops, which by the way is a cute grouping of interesting shop. I went here with my family for lunch after reading yelp reviews. We started off with the meat and cheese plate and the corn. I highly recommend both. The corn was sold of the best I have ever tasted and was a meal in itself. The meat and cheese plate was plentiful and came with homemade beef jerky, green tomatoes, peppers, etc. The biscuit that came with the meat and cheese plate was flaky, buttery, and overall perfection. I was torn between a burger and a biscuit but decided that at a cafe called biscuit I should get a biscuit sandwich. I went with the waverly, which was fried chicken, pickles, and honey mustard on their delicious biscuit. The fried chicken was okay. Overall the sandwich could've used more honey mustard to make it less dry. It still was good though. The fries I got as a side were a bit soggy, but again they weren't bad. Overall, I really liked this place. The appetizers were better than my meal, but my family really enjoyed their epic burgers. The service was also very good and it is not expensive. We have been residents of the PI area for many years and are so grateful for the Quigley's and their unique food flavors. Bisqit has a wonderful assortment of breakfast, lunch and dinner fare at reasonable prices. They have a cozy bar, outside porch dining and a few tvs if you must have entertainment. We ate lunch here yesterday. Surprisingly,for a place named bisQit, the biscuits were disappointing. They weren't bad, but they were just average, when we were expecting great. The House burger, which comes with barbecue pork and an onion ring on top, was delicious and the fries were good. Both of my daughters had two eggs with home fries, which my teenager described as "eggs-celent." My wife had the spinach salad, which she described as just average. Have been to bisQit three or four times, the last two times the manager (that also is the host) has been less than hospitable. Not very friendly, actually seems like you bringing business is a hassle. Watched him seat a table of young girls - walked out to the porch and didn't even hold the door open for them. When he took us to our table - he pointed to where it was. With that being said, the other staff are very friendly, especially our server this visit - Beatrice, she was lovely. Great food, will not let one person prevent us from visiting again. However, the meal is only part of the dining experience. While you're the only restaurant in the Hammock shops now, it won't be that way forever. I would think you'd want to give your patrons a great experience across the board so they'll always come to you first. read more

A cute, wonderful smelling restaurant we happened upon in the Hammock Shops Village one evening. It was late so we decided we would try breakfast the next day. Awesome menu variety and friendly staff! I ordered the Chicken N Biscuits....YUM! Was a huge portion, very low cal (just kidding) smothered in delicious sausage gravy with Neuske's bacon sprinkled in. I couldn't finish it all without a little help from the man. We ordered homefries with onions and the side and they were just as tasty. My boyfriend ordered pancakes and breakfast tacos. I guess he really enjoyed them because he ordered more. We will definitely be back when it gets warmer in the spring as it was a bit chilly in the restaurant....it was 20 degrees outside so gotta cut them a break! read more

I stopped in for breakfast and it was hard to choose one thing. Some unique but delicious sounding items on the menu. I ended up getting a breakfast burrito which was not disappointing. I took half of it home for lunch because it was a large portion. The coffee was great and they offer a to-go cup :) it's in a cute area with other shops and pretty landscaping making for a nice place to walk around or sit outside after breakfast. I would definitely eat here again. The waitress was very sweet and refilled my coffee three times. Update: I brought my husband to BisQits and he loved it. Photos don't do the food justice - flavor is superb for everything - not your average breakfast. We had the pancakes with scrambled eggs and over easy eggs with ham and a biscuit. Biscuit was a tad dry. Pancakes were fab - light and delicious. Ham was super thin the way I like it but some may expect thick cut - not here.
