Great food and service. Handled my large group well. All food ordered was of 5 star steakhouse quality. Definitely plan to come here again!

More and more I realize this restaurant isn't consistent. It's either really good or mediocre. Unfortunately this was a mediocre experience. Service slower than usual. It's never fast, but it took over 15 minutes just to get the bread. Didn't like the area we were seated in as one person is facing a wall. The food was a salt bomb. Didn't like the beet salad and the Gnocchi with Bay Scallops could have come straight from the Atlantic Ocean. Probably should be dropping it down to three stars, but will give it another try, order something else and see how I feel going forward eating here.

Twin Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes. By far the best thing I tasted here. Flavor didn't miss, and definitely going back just because of it. $24

Nice quiet chill spot. I was at the bar and not too many people there. I was served quickly. The food was very flavorful.

I cant rave so much about this place - its for the 21 and over as its in the casino - you want a sophisticated night this is the place. The service was very good attentive, food was very light and smooth, the fresh mozzarella to die for- a must order, the drinks are amazing and on point!! Very dim lighting but again sophisticated ambiance. Don't miss out when you are in the mount pocono area or staying at the mount airy resort - here are some pics unfortunately no dessert for once as we were to ful!

We waited forever for our food but when it came out. It was amazing. The butternut squash puree was genius under the Salmon

Service was slow and they can't access their Yelp account to update the menu. So, this review are for other yelpers curious about the restaurant. Great food, slow service, but overall good experience

Spoiling myself, I stayed at the wonderful Mount Airy Casino and the Easter Sunday dinner special at Bistecca caught my attention (please refer to attached photo). The place is beautiful with a cool atmosphere and the hostess is wonderful. After being seated, Izzy took my order, and my dining experience began. The entire meal was well-paced, the flavors of the dishes were perfectly balanced, and the meal was beyond enjoyable. I am a big eater but I almost could not finish my entree! As in most quality restaurants, the staff works in concert with each other and everything they did was well-choreographed. This was truly one of the best dining experiences I have had in some time. Highly recommended for couples looking for a stellar night out. I cannot wait to get back there! https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g53258-d7992943-r885801817-Bistecca_by_Il_Mulino-Mount_Pocono_Pocono_Mountains_Region_Pennsylvania.html#

What an experience. We were in a large group for a bachelor party, and had a late night reservation so you'd think they wouldn't be too busy. The service was just horrendous. I don't even know how to describe it. Our waitress was all over the place, pretended to know about wine and knew nothing about the wine. She spilled while pouring, didn't even pause for a tasting when opening. She spilled a plate of drinks on one person in our group and just laughed and made jokes about it as opposed to being apologetic. The food took FOREVER. We're pretty confident the kitchen dropped the entire order because we heard crashing at one point. All I all we were there over 3 hours which was just brutal. What is so sad is that the food was phenomenal!! The pasta was delicious, all the apps were great. For just the food I'd give this 5 stars, but the service was laughably bad.

After wanting to try this restaurant for a long time we finally did. Sadly we left unimpressed. Reservations - after trying unsuccessfully to get a reservation for a party of 5 on OpenTable we were finally able to secure one by calling the restaurant directly. We then found out that they don't take reservations through OpenTable for parties larger than 4. Great, they should of listed that somewhere online rather than showing a message on OpenTable that "no availability." Food - food is very pricey for what you get. We elected to try the homemade mozzarella in which there was a $7 up charge for roasted peppers. However when the mozzarella arrived there was ONE piece of pepper under the cheese. Not worth an additional $7. Two of us ordered the steak with Parmesan frites. Neither got their fries until they asked the waiter. By the time the fries came they were full and could not eat many of them. Which was sad because they were delicious. A few of us ordered the gnocchi dish in which the gnocchi was very dense. For $28 this was not worth it. Complimentary bread was delicious. Service - our waiter was nice but seemed a bit inexperienced. He spilled water on two of us and did not acknowledge it. Additionally there was a mishap with fries not arriving with an order (see food section above). Beverages - all the glasses of wine ordered came in different sized glasses. Some pours were significantly larger than others. For the prices charged this was not acceptable. Decor - the restaurant had some nice holiday decor. All in all after paying the hefty bill we decided our experience was a solid 2.5 stars. Rounding down due to the prices charged.

We dined at BM for Christmas Eve and we were definitely impressed. From the delicious food, dessert, ambiance, service and cocktails, we'll come back for more. The only downside was the cream spinach was sort of liquidity and could've had a thicker consistency. David and Darmar were our part of the wait staff and they made us feel welcomed and we throughly enjoyed the service. Cocktails were insanely good too. The ambiance was relaxing with the complimentary sounds of Frank Sinatra. We highly recommend.

Spectacular! Really expensive but worth it. Quiet ambiance just off the chaos of the casino, great selection of meat / fish / pasta and a la carte sides. The service was efficient and for the most part gracious. But I'm not sure my wife appreciated being called "sweetie" by the male waiter. And did he really have to stack all the plates in one towering mass to clear the table? You'll easily drop $100 per person on this meal but it'll make for a happy memory, and a great meal.

We came here to celebrate a birthday. I have to say this place has excellent service everyone was so friendly and their food was delicious. We ordered their fried calamari which included zucchini, and cherry peppers, which I really enjoyed. We also ordered their roasted beets (we shared), chicken parmesan on top of some pasta, plus a whole grilled branzino. Desert for the birthday girl was equally delicious. She was served tiramisu plus a really delicious gelato. Everything on their menu looked fantastic. I noticed that they did have some good looking steaks (looked at other tables) that I definitely want to order the next time we are here. We really all enjoyed ourselves. Great food and service equals very happy people.

Our servers Michael n Alvin were great, friendly and very attentive. We ordered 2 drinks But the drinks came in late and weak. Almost as if no alcohol. We ordered a fried calamari, shrimp cocktail, Caesar salad, crab cakes, pasta w meatballs, porterhouse steak $78! And filet mignon. For desert we had choco & raspberry cake n zeppole. Espresso, cappuccino. Wow we ate a lot. The deserts were the best thing. Caesars was a little overdressed. Pasta came in late n overcooked, but the rest was ok. Overall was a good meal.

The sandwiches came with bagged kettle cooked chips! I wasn't able to picture everything because everyone had mostly scoffed their food down immediately. Lol. Definitely recommend their brownie sundae for dessert, with their Double Dunker ice cream! SO GOOD! I also included a video of one of our rowdy kiddos having a good time with her food! Super worth it dining experience, I will say there is absolutely no signal to use your cellphone, so more family bonding haha. This place is amazing and would definitely come back.

Nadeem, and Bradley, the organization has real gems. Very hard to find good people these days. The food was pricey, but this is supposed to be high end dining. The side dish I am not sure what it was, but it wasn't something I enjoyed or remembered. The roasted baby squash was more decorative than anything. They required a little work to enjoy. My lady got the snapper, her risotto was amazing actually. I enjoyed her plate more than mine. Breakfast My lady for the shrimp and grits. The grits were decent. I got this egg and cheese omelet, it appeared to be prepared like a French style with toast. My gripe was the portion of my omelet, and after I got the bill I was slightly disappointed. Although a nice feature is that you can reserve a table and available time through the Mount Airy website, which links you to a commonly used site called OpenTable. As a quick note, if you are a seafood lover with Italian food, then this may be your place to be. Unfortunately I am not a seafood fan, but I thought that there were still enough menu options to try this restaurant out. To start off, our waiter was not very knowledgable about the menu or drinks they offer. Not only this, he never offered to ask a manager or even a more experienced waiter/waitress about the menu. For a small place with very many employees just standing around, this should have not been an issue. The restaurant itself was very nice, but pretty small. It actually seemed like the spaced allotted to the restaurant was shared with the steakhouse. If you combined the size of the steakhouse and this Italian restaurant, you would have a nice sized restaurant. After we finally sorted out the drinks and menu, since there was olive oil and seasoning on the table, we thought we would be treated to bread as you normally are at Italian restaurants. Well besides the bread taking forever to come, we had to serve the olive oil and seasoning ourselves and we were only given the option to choose 1 piece of bread each off of a tray. The bread was warm and delicious, but I would have liked to enjoy more than one piece! I had to actually ask for another piece of bread to be brought over. I never thought I would go to an Italian restaurant that had bread rationing. Not only this, I've had better service at Carabba's or even the Olive Garden and they are not even considered fine dining! Next, it took almost an hour of waiting for our food to be delivered. Sitting in front of the kitchen, I could not find an excuse for this since the chefs were basically just standing around the entire time. Thankfully we were given our desert for free without contest for the wait. However, the excuse was lame and was blamed on a party of 12. So I guess do not visit this restaurant on a busy day! When our food finally came, we were unimpressed with the food for something considered "fine dining" where you should be given crafty and flavorful food, especially for the prices! This was not the case. The food was nothing more than average with little flavor at all. Where the fine dining aspect comes in is on the plate size. Definitely small portions compared to most other Italian restaurants. Overall, very disappointed with this restaurant. For the price of our bill, we would have been much better off at the buffet.

Despite not having a reservation, we were able to be seated. But I do suggest planning ahead and reserving a table. Especially if you visit during high season. Anyhow, the service was excellent. Our server, Sam was extremely attentive. She explained the menu to you and shared some recommendations. We started out with a Caesar salad to share and knew right then that the servings would be ample! The kitchen was kind enough to split the salad for us between two plates and I'd have thought just half was shareable. But lucky us, plenty to indulge. We absolutely LOVED the dressing but found it a slight tad heavy handed. If we make it back, we'd definitely ask for dressing on the side. But nonetheless we appreciated the authentic Caesar dressing complete with anchovy paste. For entrees we had the penne vodka with sausage and shrimp 360. Both plates were big enough to feed an army and made for nice left overs. But make no mistake, both were delicious! Hit it out of the park, delicious! And beautiful al denté pasta. This meal really hit the spot. Even though we were completely stuffed, we managed to find room for homemade pumpkin cheesecake! I don't say this lightly, but it was hands down the best slice of cheesecake I've ever had. We couldn't stop raving about out it! This is a great restaurant to visit when visiting the Poconos. The setting was elegant in an understated way while being incredibly cozy! I think it would be great for larger groups but also intimate enough for couples.

It was founded by members of the Pipolo family, including Bill Jr. and his wife Kim. The Pipolo family, including father Bill Sr. and mother Fabiana, had moved to the Poconos area from the Bronx, New York in 1984. Bill Sr. had a construction business which sons Bill Jr. and Peter worked in after graduating from high school. Bill Jr. first had some experience in the hospitality business when he owned the Calico Kitchen in Canadensis. When a location formerly home to Harrison's Tavern became available, the Pipolo family acquired it with the intention of turning it into an authentic Italian restaurant. The whole building was completely redesigned to resembled a trattoria in an Italian mountain village. Basso became a full Pipolo family endeavor. Even the grandchildren can be seen greeting guests and bussing tables from time to time. Bill Jr. and Peter later purchased the former Jagermeister German restaurant down the street and turned it into the PourHouse Neighborhood Bar & Grille after a renovation. My family and I visited Basso for dinner on a recent trip to the Poconos. We had previously visited the Pipolos' other restaurant, The PourHouse, and were excited to try their take on authentic Italian fare. The interior was nice and cozy. After looking over the menu, my wife and I decided to start out with some cocktails. I had the "Limoncello Spritzer" while she had the "Peach Berry Pink Sangria". Both were very refreshing! For our entrees, I had the "Pork Chop Di Parma" (juicy 12-oz. pork chop topped with prosciutto and red wine demi-glaze served over risotto), my wife had the "Cherry Red Shrimp" (sautéed shrimp with garlic, cherry tomatoes in a fresh basil butter sauce over linguine), our older son had "Tortelloni with a Pink Sauce", and our younger son had "Baked Ziti". Although the wait for the food was a little long, it was well worth it because everything was to die for! Our server was also very friendly and helpful. It's also worth noting that parking is very limited, so definitely try to stop in on the early side. We had an excellent experience at Basso and give them our seal of approval!
