Had a great time at Water's Edge in Mt. Pocono while on a golf trip. We came here for dinner and it ended up being a really good choice. The staff was super attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. The vibe inside is relaxed and welcoming. We started with the baked oysters Caesar salad and the crab fondue, they were all delicious and definitely worth ordering. I had the NY strip for my main dish, which was tasty (a little overcooked, but still good). I also tried some of my friend's duck and it was excellent. Overall, really good food, nice atmosphere, and solid service. Perfect spot for dinner if you're in the Poconos, especially after a day on the course.

Such a lovely experience all around with a beautiful view of the water! We arrived a little early for our reservation so we could have a cocktail first. The knowledgable bartender recommended a couple yummy cocktails for us, and we went out onto the patio to enjoy the nice day. They have a lovely outdoor section with tables, umbrellas, and string lights, pleasant for dinner or even just a pre-dinner drink! Once we were ready for our reservation we headed inside and were given a lovely table by the window, overlooking the water where we could watch some fish jumping out the water as well as turtles sunbathing on a rock. The inside decor is very cozy as well. The restaurant is one large room with dark wood and moody lighting, a bar near the entrance, with a big fireplace on the other end. The tables have white tablecloths and are spaced nicely. Our waitress was so friendly and accommodating! We ordered the Chef's Tasting menu - HIGHLY RECOMMEND - and she boxed up the portion of each course that we didn't finish (the courses were quite large), one by one, and brought them out to us before we were served the next course. She was very patient and personable with us as we chatted and took our time with our meal, ultimately being the last people in the restaurant. Our meal was timed perfectly, we did not feel rushed and had time to savor each course and finish our paired wine. As for the food, the Chef's Tasting menu was some of the best food I've ever had. It was 6 courses, and we did the wine pairings as well. The flavors were perfect on each course, featuring sauces, flavors, aromas, and spices uniquely prepared to complement each dish. For example, the first course was a piece of salmon served with a citrus butter sauce with a side of pesto, and the second course was lollipop lamb chops served on top of a berry compote. Delectable! As I mentioned above, the courses were quite large, so I'd recommend pacing yourself. The wine pairing was also fun and each wine was chosen thoughtfully to accompany the flavor of the course. We were served 6 wines, about a 3 ounce pour, one with each course. They were a nice mix of reds and whites. We had such an unfortgettable experience at The Water's Edge the very first night of our trip. Everything was perfect. I would highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area!

Absolutely amazing. How can a business absolutely be superfluous on both food, views, and service?! I am absolutely delighted to be a customer here. The food was amazing, but it was Rob, our waiter, who absolutely knocked it out of the park. He was incredible perceptive to our needs and wants, was superbly invested in us having an amazing meal. Our six year old asked to drive 1.5 hours to this exact place based on how he was treated by rob. We dine out a lot, and I would say this place takes the cake. Between a Michelin restaurant aged place and waters edge, I would chose waters edge every day of the week. Thank you for building this place.

To start, 5 stars for all the staff we interacted with. Everyone was kind and had a smile on their face. The ambiance in this place is exceptional and cozy. Food was delicious too, and loved the specials menu. Would highly recommend and return.

I brought my bf here for his early birthday dinner and just love the ambiance and beautiful lake setting. They have outdoor and indoor seatings but this particular night was rather chilly, so we opted for indoor seating by the fireplace. Everything we had including the drinks were done with perfection. We did have to wait a bit between entrees but dinner conversations helped fill the gap. I will definitely come back if we're ever in the area again!

A pricey dinner for food that was just average. The tomahawk steak had several fatty and chewy pieces, which was disappointing for a $150 dish. The scallops were overly salty, and the portion was mostly potatoes. Additionally, the Caesar salad could have used more dressing. I called the restaurant, but the manager only addressed seating -- which wasn't even my concern -- and offered a 10% discount on three future meals, even though the restaurant is three hours from home. The manager was unhelpful and came across as quite rude. Restaurant is a complete waste of money. Don't go!

Appetizer beet & goat cheese salad and the steak & barley soup were great. My "nice pear" mocktail was very good as well. I ordered the vegan scallops, which at first were served overcooked and very un appetizing. However, I sent them back and they came back. Excellent so they did the right thing. The bread pudding for dessert was also very good all in all a nice meal and a nice atmosphere, albeit a bit chilly inside.

The Water's Edge is a charming restaurant overlooking the water creating a cozy atmosphere and is perfect for date nights, or family dinners. Sitting inside and then outside for cocktails after dinner, the staff was very courteous. The steak was prepared to perfection, and had an excellent char on the outside, and flavorful inside. The risotto was the perfect pairing with the steak. The pricing was reasonable considering the area, and quality of the food and the cocktail/wine selection had a variety of options to suit different tastes.

Looking for 5 star food and a great view then look no further. From drinks to desserts The Water's Edge has it all with top notch service. The grand fire place offers a wonderful warmth on a chilly night in the Pocono's or opt to sit by the windows and enjoy the lake view. 11 of us met for drinks and dessert and we had the most wonderful time.

Somehow I forgot to post this A WHILE AGO: Actually, 4+ STARS based on our two visits. In recent weeks we enjoyed a excellent, creative menu and informative courteous and friendly service at Water's Edge. Frankly, I never would have thought of Memorytown as a dining destination but, thanks to a comment I stumbled on in a FB group, we gave Water's Edge a try - and we are very glad we did. We dined here twice within about 3 weeks. A good varied selection of vegetarian options are available. Last evening my dinner consisted of mushroom vegetable soup (delicious and slightly peppery) an excellent summer vegetable salad plus three generously prepared appetizers; Ahi Tuna Tartare, Cauliflower Risotto (cheesy risotto topped with sautéed cauliflower florets and a skillet-made Mac & Cheese (about four different cheeses). My wife enjoyed the Mushroom Veg soup as well (a special of the day) as well a s beautifully prepared Striped Bass on a bed delightful slaw and perfectly roasted Yukon Gold potatoes. On our prior visit, we each had the outrageously delicious and rich Loaded Potato Soup. Water's Edge presents a respectable wine program with a modestly priced line of house wines by the glass and quality bottles at a range of prices. A wide choice of specialty cocktails are presented. My one criticism is that the bar itself has. It yet matured to support a full range of cocktails (please get some Campari so I can have a Negroni when we next visit), even as it has a solid choice of Bourbons and Scotches available. Overall - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Well-deserving of all the five-star reviews! Nice ambiance (except the TV over an empty bar). Service is attentive and thoughtful and the food is delectable and lovingly presented. Highly recommend.

The sandwiches came with bagged kettle cooked chips! I wasn't able to picture everything because everyone had mostly scoffed their food down immediately. Lol. Definitely recommend their brownie sundae for dessert, with their Double Dunker ice cream! SO GOOD! I also included a video of one of our rowdy kiddos having a good time with her food! Super worth it dining experience, I will say there is absolutely no signal to use your cellphone, so more family bonding haha. This place is amazing and would definitely come back.

My husband had the snowball which he thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommend both. They only have a few bottled beers but had many wines to choose from. We went with the special soup of the day which was a tomato soup with rice --- it was to die for! For our entrees, I went with the blue salmon which came with a baked potato and veggie of the day (creamed spinach with feta cheese). My husband opted for the pork tenderloin. He doesn't like spinach so they accommodated that by offering a different veggie (broccoli or green beans). My husband was very happy and raved about the broccoli and said the pork tenderloin was the best he ever had. For dessert, we went with the brownie towers, which came out kind of hard. The waitress (Jeannie) apologized and even brought us out another piece. It's a very relaxed atmosphere. We sat on the porch, it was really nice. The only thing I can recommend was maybe adding light dinner music to enhance the experience. All in all, the meal and experience was worth every penny and I highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area.

The staff was very nice and seated us promptly, we were sat at a table that was booth on one side and chair on the other but it was an extra tall bar stool type table. Soon as I sat down the sun was right in my eyes. Yes only a small nuisance till the bar tender shut a blind (because the bar folks were effected) but there were so many empty table. Why sit us at this table ? There were plenty of other tables that would not have had this issue. Not sure why the hostess would not know not to use this table for this time of day. Other then that the place was very clean and a normal pub type atmosphere. Nothing super special though. We started off with an appetizer called the "Texas Twinkie" - okay. I read "twinkie" and think some form of cake/bread with a filling. What we got was more of an egg roll. The outside was either a wonton type wrap or a tortilla then filled with brisket, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, jalapeño, and BBQ sauce. This was very delicious but definitely misleading in the name and the menu didnt really describe the item, it only give the name and listed the ingredients. I bring this up because we also ordered the traditional pizza.... what we got was more of a flatbread and pretty bland as well. Super basic bread with a lack of flavor marinara sauce and cheese. Also the sauce to cheese ratio was sad. You can tell this because all the cheese on the slice would come right off with 1 bite. We would not order this again based on the price and what was served. I also had the French onion soup. This was pretty well done. Not to salty, no crazy cheeses added. It was well balanced and was worth getting. My partners entree was the barley creek whiskey BBQ sauce on chicken tenders. These were just ok. The sauce seemed more tomatoe based then normal for a BBQ sauce and again just wasn't what one would expect from the name whiskey Bbq sauce. I am sure people do like this place but it wasn't very impressive to us. 3 out 5 stars is a fair rating as service was good for the most part, the place was clean with a decent amount of menu options, but the execution of the food lacked and the menu names are definitely misleading for the items we had ordered.
