This was a pleasure all the way round. They advertised locally sourced ingredients and I believe them. Service by Kate was excellent especially as we had a large party(12). The restaurant is well laid out and I loved the rustic ambience. My Country Fried steak was the best I've enjoyed. The jam that came with the toast was likely homemade and first rate. We all loved it!

This place was surprisingly large on the inside. Parking lot was a little small but overflow can go into the neighboring lot or the street. When we went inside, Nick actually greeted us and spoke enthusiastically about the food. We tried a few things and everything was great! The coffee actually came with chantilly cream to put on top. I'd recommend this place if you're in Cleves!

Blackened Bleu Bayou Burger with chips

Came here on a Saturday night and wasn't crowded but not a bad crowd. This is the second time I've been here. I didn't have pictures of the first time but I had the fried chicken and the bread pudding and they really good. I really like the fried chicken which had a good crust and was moist. The wife had breakfast with goetta and the goetta what I thought I heard was homemade, don't quote me in that but it tasted like it was homemade. This time I had the blackened bleu bayou burger and the wife had the Italian sub with onion rings. They ask you the temperature you would like the burger and I asked for medium. Chances that the burger is cooked this was long shot and it was slightly over medium but not enough to dry it out. The burger had a very good taste and it was a handmade patty which I like. The bleu cheese had the nice strong taste and you get a bleu cheese dressing on the side. Overall this was a better tasting black and bleu burger that I've had. The wife liked the Italian sub. It was a good size and she thought it was better than what she has had. Onion rings were good. I couldn't tell if they were hand made or if they were premade. They were thick and the onion came out when you bit into them which made me think they were fresh onions. I did get a root beer float. Nothing really special about that.

The food was delicious with medium to large portions. The service was a touch on the slow side but incredibly efficient and very nice. It was mostly older people which made me hesitate since I had teens with me.

I've always…read moreliked the roast beef at this place and I still do but not close enough to go there often. The inside got rid of all the Roy Rogers pictures and added a cowboy theme. We've passed by this place and they do t seem to be crowded but we went during lunch and there were people eating there and going through the drive thru which is good. I had the roast beef sandwich with fries and the fries are okay. My wife had a chicken sandwich and I don't remember which one but her complaint was the menu board doesn't tell you what is on it. Her's had bacon which she didn't know and it came with a special sauce. What I did like about the place is that they have items you wouldn't find at a RR. One thing I didn't like is that I ordered a double but the roast beef was cut thicker so it was hard to tell if I got an extra slice instead or more thinner sliced meat. But it was still good with the BBQ sauce and horseradish which I like here since it's like RR. My wife liked the roast beef so she may eat that next time.

Sunnyside Grill -- Cleve Ohio…read more Run, don't walk to this hidden gem! I recently stopped at Sunnyside Grill in Cleve Ohio , and this place absolutely delivered. The menu is simple, the portions are HUGE, the prices are right, and most importantly--the food is done right. I went with the Bourbon Glaze Burger, a 12-ounce burger cooked medium-rare, with crinkle-cut fries. At $13, the burger comes with chips, but for just a couple extra bucks I upgraded to the fries. That burger was massive--I could barely finish it! And I left completely full and very happy. My wife ordered the Turkey Reuben, swapping the sauerkraut for coleslaw, along with crinkle-cut fries. Another generous portion and absolutely delicious. Our waitress, Maria, was fantastic. She was super friendly, made some great recommendations, and you can tell she really knows the place. Maria has been there for 14 years, while the restaurant itself has been around for 21 years under the same owners. That says a lot! The restaurant was crowded when we visited, but not completely packed, and the atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. If you're looking for a place with huge portions, reasonable prices, friendly service, and no need for a complicated menu, Sunnyside Grill is worth checking out. For my $13 12-ounce burger, I got way more food than I expected--and that's exactly the kind of hidden gem I love finding. Run, don't walk! You'll leave full, happy, and wondering why you didn't discover this place sooner.
