Best meal we had in Myrtle Beach! We got oysters, pork belly + scallops, wedge salad, tomahawk ribeye, crab cakes, and lobster Mac. Definitely get the pork belly appetizer! Not sure what they do to it, but it's delicious. Oysters were fresh, and the salad was also tasty. Crab cakes were very good-- lots of crab. The tomahawk steak was cooked perfectly! I also liked that it wasn't overly salted, so you could appreciate the beefy flavor. One of the best steaks I've had. Only negative comment does not have to do with the food or staff. The food, service, and atmosphere were all perfect. Our waiter was so friendly and was on top of our orders. There was never a point where we had to wait a long time to see him. A lot of the food I wanted to try was market price, so be prepared to pay a different price each time. The last page of the menu is the chef special page, so come by each day and expect to see different items available. I had an 8 oz filet that was one of the best I have ever had. This is the Best Steak House in the greater Myrtle Beach area. Beats out New York Prime by a country mile. The wait staff at Bistro was unreal! Knowledgable in reference to the menu and gave us a lesson at the table on all cuts of meat available with the addition of Chilean Bass for thse who are not carniverous. Opened the door when we arrived and departed. No snooty valet to deal with as there is enoughparking for all and you dont have to be frantically searching for a fiver in the lot. My husband had a bone in rib eye, lobster, asparagus, and macaroni & cheese. He drank two 9 oz glasses of a house white. I am on a bit of a diet so I had the lump crab meat and U10 shimp cocktail combo to start and the spinach and blue cheese salad with strawberries and cashews in a champagne vinigarette. I drank one grey goose and soda. Heavenly! Everything was perfect, perfect, perfect. Best restaurant in the 4 years I have been here. I am a foodie from New York and have eaten my share of creations by chefs and owners who are 5 star or recipients of the James Beard Award since Tim and Nina Zagt published starting publishing their yearly surveys of restaurants in 1979. My favorite steak house is Peter Lugers (only in Williamsburg of course) cuz I'm rough around the edges and can't resist that sauce! Bistro 90 rivaled Lugers in my eyes. The owner now has to loosen the purse strings and get in a designer (or not) for an interior do over this winter of the decor which I think included red carpeting and painted monstrosities the likes of Brad Pitt, Marilyn Monroe, Michael Jackson etc, etc. This is fine dining. Instead it reminded me of the outside of the Legends on 17. I sat down and quickly said to my husband, "Let's get out of here." I'm glad I stayed but Ixnay on the decor. Your better than this. Will be back sooner than later and hopefully by Spring 2025, I will see real wood floors, muted whites or creamy beiges on the walls complete with cool black and white photos in large black frames of the original residents of Longs, Conway and Myrtle Beach dating back to the 50's and further back if possible. Wood tables would be nice in a butcher block motif that you cover with a white cloth or white paper as new diners arrive. No room for boxes since our party savored every bite. The steak was nothing short or perfection and our sides were seasoned just right. I was really looking forward to eating here and there were many good reviews. However, I think the food was average. I has a fillet and it was perfectly cooked as were the green beans served with it. The potatoes...tasted like they were cooked a day or two before and coated with something and deep fried. Not edible. How hard is it to make fresh potatoes? Baked or mashed? Wine was half of what a normal glass would be; salads came and had maybe an 1/8th of a wedge with two full pieces of uncrumbled bacon criss-crossed on top and just not what we expected a wedge to be; dressing was not great. The Chicken Alfredo was served first and a few minutes later the Veal Piccata was introduced to the table. I verified with the server that I had ordered the veal piccata and he assured me I had; well, what he brought was Veal Marsala that had capers tossed on top - I was told that was the chef's special way of making the piccata but he would check in the kitchen and make sure. During his absence, I made the same inquiry of another server and she told me it looked like Marsala to her, as well but she would check - sure enough the chef makes the piccata with brown sauce! A guy came over (w/o introduction but probably a manager - but who would know?) and asked how my meal was. I told him of my issue -- I've eaten both Marsala and piccata for many years and never seen brown sauce used for piccata - yes, there were capers but no lemons nor was there even a hint of lemon or butter -- Marsala without the mushrooms is what I got. I was assured by this guy that capers are what make the piccata - not lemon/butter sauce. Hmmm...learn something every day. The Alfredo was luke warm; the bread was cold; the server was not great; the food was extremely overpriced (with the piccata a/k/a Marsala removed from the bill) our tab for one water, one 4 - 6 oz wine, one chicken alfredo and two small wedges our bill was $50.08 PLUS a "convenience fee" for using a credit card. This experience was a breath of fresh air for our MB ladies getaway weekend. We did not have any luck on "beach row" for food our first day and a half. So, we went off into the rough and found this diamond. Everything was just right - very professional and attentive service, wonderful food, lovely atmosphere. We enjoyed oysters, fried green tomatoes, salads, the cowboy chop, baked shrimp and a filet. We finished with one crème brûlée. Dined in some of the best restaurants in the city. Stefan absolutely hands down surpassed any service We have ever had in NYC. I could write poems about this place. I've been to multiple Michelin rated restaurants - probably a dozen or so, and this rivals the best of them! What is impressive, truly impressive, is that they have mastered multiple types of food. You get places that are good at one dish, maybe two; usually either seafood or steak, but I've never seen one master both - until today. I only had outstanding dishes, the kind you write home about, even though home is 6,000 miles away: - the pork belly and scallops. Where do I start? The scallops were buttery and flavorful; the pork belly has this amazing glaze (my mouth is watering again just at the thought!) - the crab cakes. The only one other time in my LIFE I've had crab cakes that good was in Austin TX in 2012. And I've had more than my weight in crab cakes. These cakes have no fillers - and I'm not just saying hey look at that claw meat - no no no siree, this is pure lump crab deliciousness through and through, big chunks of just amazing crab, in an herb butter omg this was so amazing. Would I trade a child for these crab cakes? I plead the fifth. - I ordered the filet mignon with au poivre (peppercorn) sauce on the side. By that time my mind was completely blown. I ordered it rare. Now I've had decades of eating filet. DECADES. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the best I've ever had. Better than Alexander's steakhouse by miles. Better than Michelin Star restaurants. The crust on that filet was perfect. The middle was perfect. It was so tender I could've cut it with my fork! And then the sauce. There is a master saucier in there. It is simply unfathomable to make such an amazing sauce, it must've taken days. The layers of flavors - the richness of what must've been quality bone in that sauce, the fresh peppercorn, it wasn't spicy or raw or overwhelming - it was complex, rich flavors that made an already perfect filet heavenly. Update: we came back for Mother's Day, because every mother in my life (mom, grandma) deserves this of course. Updated with more cocktails and more dishes. Guess what? Outstanding. The shrimp cocktail was incredible - giant shrimp; large pieces of crab on top. The Chilean sea bass was buttery, flavorful; with a silky sauce on top. Again, a true pleasure and privilege. I would eat here every day if I could and this would be my last meal. I'll be back! And I feel privileged to have experienced such a perfect meal. read more

I have never been more pleased in my life at a restaurant. First, the service is impeccable. Everyone there was extremely attentive and always had a smile on their face. Roland (the owner) made it his personal duty to make sure I was enjoying my evening. To me that makes the experience even better. Second, I love the atmosphere of the restaurant. The music isn't too loud and the lighting is the perfect level of not to dark and not harshly bright. Finally, the food is excellent. I had the salmon which came with a potato croquet (delicious and delightful) and green beans. The salmon literally melted in my mouth, the potato croquet was fluffy and perfectly cooked, and the green beans were perfect. When people say this is the hidden gem of the Grand Strand, they are not wrong. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone that has the chance. read more

This was such an amazing experience! Was visiting Myrtle Beach from Miami and my friend recommended this restaurant. What a beautiful hidden gem! Ive been to Michelin star restaurants in NY and this is right there for South Carolina! To start of our host on July 15th at night was extremely professional, polite and welcoming which really set the place. When she presented the wine list I immediately knew I was in for an amazing meal. There definitely is a wine for every palate level from refreshingly aromatic to powerfully bold. Then we looked at the bourbon list and noticed flights of Pappy Van Winkle, how is that even possible! I was torn! I asked our server, Annick to help between our temptations of wine and she didnt miss a beat at suggesting one of my new favorite Pinot Noirs, Darioush. The manager came by to open it for us and was such a delight to talk to, very accommodating! We started with the pork belly and scallop appetizer and it was such a wonderful choice to really engage our taste buds with a sweet and savory mix from the tender and juicy bites of belly with scallops, who would have thought it would blend so well! Our server, Annick recommended the chophouse salad and it was perfect while we waited for our steaks, sweet morsels of cashews, spinach, strawberries and cheese! The manager checked on us again and helped us decide on another bottle of wine to go with our steak choice, he really does seem to enjoy what he does and engaging with guest. We decided to share the Ribeye and Annick was amazing enough to have it split on two plates for us for convenience, with a couple extra sides of Brussels sprouts and pork belly, risotto, and the lobster mac and cheese. We definitely ate with our eyes but it was so mouthwatering. The steak was cooked to a perfect med rare and seasoned perfect. I dont know what that other review was talking about, they obviously dont understand that a good cut of steak barely needs seasoning! Annick and her server assistants gladly bagged up our leftovers in a seamless service! Then came the deserts, we had already peeked at our options on the drink menu that remains on the table and decided on the Banana fosters cheesecake, my friend was overly delighted that the Cheesecake came from a NY deli that no longer sells their cheesecake but still produces it for restaurants like these. It was a perfect choice to end the night! We also shared an espresso martini which was gorgeously decorated with 3 espresso beans. Very nice atmosphere in LONGS, SC. Represented as fine - casual dining for lunch / dinner Monday - Saturday. Visited on this Friday evening after an on line menu preview. Appeared to offer something for everyone from steaks to pizza. Warning no pizza / Stromboli on Friday or Saturday nights per our waitress. These items are carry out only. They have attempted to make patrons aware via their on line / Facebook page of this but these sites don't retain that information (?) per or waitress. It didn't work for my 12- year olds with one who wanted a bone in filet and the other who wanted a pizza. The steak sides are predetermined with no options. Noting that cauliflower, green beans and roasted potatoes were the options. The cauliflower and green beans did not intrigue us as steak parings. The domestic beer selection was limited. Noting the wine list did appear passable and they seemed to offer some rare bourbons. However, after three requests / inquiries and all NO responses I pulled the plug on the experience. We paid for our buffalo calamari appetizer (eehh), our drinks and left our 20% tip. The maitre d came by to offer his apologies but with no accommodations to our preferences. One very strong compliment to management. The wait staff is great with the affirmative close technique. They are almost convincing that the options they have are what the customer wants. Our experience was not casual nor fine dining. Casual dining offers options for all. Fine dining embraces the customer experience and desires.
