Every bite hits, creamy lime crema, fresh pico de gallo, crumbly queso fresco, pickled onions, and a touch of micro cilantro that brings it all together. We were excited to try this place for brunch, but unfortunately it fell short of our expectations. The atmosphere was extremely loud. The dining area is open to the kitchen, so you can hear orders being called out, noise from the kitchen preparing food and conversations from other tables across the room, which made it difficult to enjoy a conversation at our table. Service was also lacking throughout our visit. One thing we were particularly excited about was the lemonade flight. It looked like such a fun and unique offering, and we assumed the lemonades were made in-house. Instead, i watched them fill glasses with Minute Maid lemonade as the base and then add flavored purées. The concept is great, but the execution could use a little more refinement. As for the food, the eggs, potato hash, and sausage were all swimming in oil, which made the meal feel heavy and unappetizing. Overall, there were some interesting ideas here, but the experience didn't live up to the hype for us. The cost did not reflect the food or service. Overpriced for what we got. The owner was booing and disrespecting a great employee simply because he gave his two-week notice. The reason he quit? His paychecks kept bouncing twice in a row. Multiple employees also had their check bounce because of the owner. The employees who work there do a great job and deserve credit for their hard work. However, an owner should never treat employees the way this person has. If this is how employees are treated after giving their notice, I would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. I just had one of the best burgers of my life at The Grove by Lemon Tree, their Jalapeno Burger. I like it is only mildly spicy, with delicious and juicy Wagyu beef, pepper jack cheese, perfectly toasted bun, and a sweet sauce and house brined sweet and sour pickles. The food and service are wonderful. So why one star? It is virtually impossible to sit inside. Americans are so noisy to begin with, but there is not one piece of soft goods to absorb any sound. Hard floors, tables, chairs, wall, and glass. I was there two weeks ago and my guest and I had to flee immediately after eating, without getting time to finish our conversation, because the noise literally prevented any conversation. I went yesterday and, while tables and chair were available inside, it was a hostile environment again, with deafening noise even though only half full. The noise just about blew us outside anyway when we opening the door and stepped inside. We did sit outside but it was shaded and chilly. PLEASE: Owners, put fabric up on the walls on curtain rods. Bring in a sound engineer. You really have to solve this very serious problem. read more

TLDR: Yummy food. Friendly staff and owner. One of my Boise faves. It's high time I reviewed Lemon Tree on Park Center! I rave about this restaurant whenever it comes up in conversation, and those who happen to have been there too have nothing but good things to say. The food is super yummy and fresh. My friends who are vegetarian enjoy it too. My personal favorites include the enfrijoladas (I get them with chicken tinga, but it's not necessary), the taco bowl, and the sausage and pear sandwich. The chicken tinga option is yummy, but honestly I enjoy the cauliflower too! I believe I usually get the lemon tree salad as a side, and as a picky salad eater, I love this one Highly recommend the lemonades and lemosas! If you're with some friends, try the flight to taste test the different flavors. I don't dislike any of them, but my favorite is definitely the strawberry basil. The staff are always friendly, and the owner is really great. He has been there at least half the times I have gone to dine in, and he is often checking in with patrons and helping out the staff. He also offered my mom and I some menu items to try when I brought her for the first time, which was super nice. She, and my dad, also enjoy dining here when they're in town! I really appreciate their now revitalized brunch menu. I used to be a little disappointed when I came in during a brunch hour, but they've added quite a few items (I will once again vouch for the enfrijoladas), and I might honestly start seeking out brunch hours. I've since moved further out from this location, but I still find reasons to drive over and grab a meal, or order pickup. It's one of my favorites in Boise, for sure. My only critiques may be that it can get a bit loud during peak hours, and the metal chairs are a bit loud when they scrape against the floor. The service and attitude was terrible! My daughter was on a tight schedule as she had to pick up a sick dog before the Vet was unavailable. So to save time we ordered on-line and were given an 11:20 time to pick up the order. We got there, let them know that we were here but then weighted until 11:35 for the food to be ready. They left us standing there without any explanation or estimate of when the food would be ready. They would just look over at us periodically and not say anything. We finally got our food, without a "thank you for waiting" or "sorry about the delay" comment. They just handed the bag to us. At this point we only had 10 minutes before my daughter had to leave so we asked if we could sit at a table outside and the waitress said yes. The table had a sign that said "please ask inside to be seated" but we had done that so proceeded to sit down and unwrap our food to eat. We were then approached by a man in a dirty t-shirt who told us that this table was reserved only for guests who chose to dine at the restaurant. Not for take out orders. He said that we could stay there this time but not in the future. My daughter told him that we had asked and were told it was OK to sit there. His response was that the girl (without looking to see who my daughter had asked) was new and should not have told us that we should not have been allowed to sit down. Keep in mind that this was not even during a lunch rush as it was only 11:40 at this point. Almost 2/3 of the tables were empty! In addition, they had been late getting our food to us. We got up and left because at this point it was 11:45 and my daughter had to leave to get her dog and get on the road home. I was pretty frustrated with the situation so it was best that I left also. I have eaten there a number of times in the past and even met clients there twice. Now I will never go back and never recommend them to clients or friends. read more

Our server never came back over, we never saw any food. One person in our party got up to ask what had happened. Our waitress forgot to put our order in and instead of coming over and saying that when she realized she just kept us sitting there wondering where our food was. I appreciate the emphasis on fresh vegetables, especially in the cauliflower tacos and the mushroom artichoke "cheesesteak." I love that they give a number of options (including salad and a tasty tomato-basil soup) as sides. I would love it even more if they would offer a housemade veggie burger! The service is friendly and efficient. This is a great place to stop for a healthy, delicious lunch on the east side. Seriously the worst service we have ever experienced. First it took forever to take our order. My husband finally went to the counter, thinking we had to order there and was informed that they'll take it at the table. Eventually we ordered our food, specifically pointing to the happy hour menu (both my husband and I wanted the two tacos for $10). We received our drinks, but my son did not and had to wait until the waitress walked past to inform her of the error. Her response was that she didn't hear it. Then we waited and waited. I looked over at the open kitchen and remarked that I hoped it wasn't our food at the pass because it had been sitting there for a good 15 minutes. And of course it was. Half of our food was cold, plus the tacos were three each from the full price menu. I had to try my son's burger just in case it wasn't an impossible burger and we hope that the cheese from the tacos was vegan for my lactose intolerant husband. The Griddle had a super long wait, so we ended up going here, and by the time our server came by for our food order, we probably would have been in at the Griddle. I got the lemon tree breakfast sandwich with a strawberry basil lemonade. The drink was really good. The sandwich was ok. Needed salt and pepper. Some sort of seasoning. The bacon on it was pretty good on its own. Couldn't taste it in the sandwich. Also, the greens on the sandwich tasted weird. I don't know if it was them or the garlic aioli. Something was off. The fruit, all 10 small pieces, was super yummy. Not one hitter bite. My friend got the jalapeño berry lemonade. She couldn't drink it. The aftertaste wasn't good. Way too much jalapeño. She got a mushroom sandwich. Didn't say anything about it. These two meals and drinks cost just under $50. I don't think it was worth the price. read more

I love this place. We stumbled on it after getting frustrated with the hour + wait at the Griddle next door (another sad case of too many wankers moving to Boise). This place is near my 'hood so I come here regularly. Food and prices: The prices are reasonable and the food is tasty. Love the breakfast sandwich (minus the dirt-like taste of arugula). I have tried many of the breakfast items and have always enjoyed them. Portions: I am a small plate eater, so the portions are perfect for me (and I appreciate the reduced food waste). But I would guess that big-portion people might not be happy with the portion sizes. I usually finish my entire meal which is rare when dining in the western U.S. Service: has always been great. Efficient wait staff and the food arrives very quickly. Atmosphere: lovely as well. Simple and clean. It can get loud when crowded, but that's most restaurants these days. It's not usually crowded at 11 am and we haven't ever had to wait for a table, which is surprising given Boise's population explosion. I liken this place to a European cafe with portions for people who don't need a ton of food and space (though of course it's still much larger than most European cafes). Now we don't even bother with the Griddle because this food here is just as good! read more

A classy breakfast and brunch spot in Boise with a twist. I am so happy over the moon excited for the owners and the team at Lemon Tree. The Parkcenter location is what Boise deserves. There's something for everyone to enjoy. We are a mixed dining group. I am a vegan, my kids are omnivores and my wife is a vegetarian. Eating out is at times a lot of work and requires compromise. That is not the case at the Lemon Tree on Parkcenter, there are plenty of options for everyone. If you're a vegan, you won't be regulated to a plate of french fries. If you're keto, or vegetarian there are options as well. Jasson and his team have this motto,' Everyone is welcomed!' and it is so true. If you're a fan of the other locations, that's great but the Parkcenter locations take it up a notch and then some. The dining room is classy and the staff is dressed to impress. There are plenty of details from the purse hooks under the counter and the outlets for those that are working remotely. The community table has a story all on its own. There are plans to offer table service. I had the Eggless Quiche. Epic is an understatement. Wow. For those who may not know, Just Egg makes a vegan egg from Mung beans. It is a fabulous egg substitute but can be tricky to cook with. Kudos to the Lemon Tree team for acing the eggless test. The consistency and favor hit all the notes. My fellow diner had the Monkey Bread French Toast. It's the Lemon Tree's own Banana Bread that is then twisted and transformed into French Toast. WoWoWoWoWoWoW! It's large and in charge. I had to help her finish it as it was so good. We can talk about the lemonades as my personal fav - Prickly Pear served in a Mason Jar with its accompanying garnishes is just the right drink for our hot summer months. The menu is still evolving but I hear that Tacos and Burgers may soon appear if not already. If you haven't yet been to Lemon Tree on 10th Street or their other location in Harris Ranch, now is the time to visit. Each location has its own vibe and feels and is unique to its neighborhood. Lemon Tree has taken the best of the best and made it better, The Parkcenter location is a chef's kiss with a 12 out of 10. Check them out! read more

The sandwiches that I've tried are all okay to very good- Bahn Mi -way too much peanut sauce both times I've had it from here. Might as well throw peanut butter on the sandwich. Overpowered the rest of the ingredients. Mushroom Artichoke- A little salty, probably from the artichoke brine. Their side salad was very good. My main complaint is concerning their pricing. I can't justify regularly paying $15-$18 for a sandwich with some veggies on it. It looks like they have a hamburger here as well as jackfruit tacos that range from $18-20, so steep prices seem to be pretty consistent across the board.
