Excellent food, service (John was our server), and atmosphere. We started with the crab dip and pork belly and Black Stallion Cab. They were all three excellent. For our entrees, I got the smoked meatloaf which was full of flavor. My wife got the rib eye steak. It also was incredible. For dessert we had the vanilla bean creme brulee with the Sandeman 20 yr port. Again, absolutely excellent. We had no complaints and took tons of left overs home. We definitely had none of the issues listed in the negative reviews. This restaurant is rated exceptional on Open Table, and I agree completely with that rating. read more

The atmosphere and service are very nice. Pork belly and calamari apps were very good. The duck was quite delicious. From our group, the overall reaction was positive. Steak frites and Lamb were also very good. Unfortunately, the flounder and seafood Mac and cheese were a little bland. All in all, it was a good experience and I'm sure we'll be giving this restaurant another try in the future. read more

Great food and service! I've been here a few times and had a great time every time. I was last here on Monday evening. I had the rack of lamb, and my date had the steak frites. Dinner was fantastic. We then finished it off with the croissant bread pudding. Our server was very attentive, knew the menu well, and we never had to wait, or wonder where he was. read more

Ate here for lunch for the first time yesterday. Service was excellent as was the tuna Niçoise salad. Large portions. Full bar with lots of bar seating and high top tables, seated restaurant area, and very nice shaded outdoor seating. Looks like they have live music. Went for lunch, ordered the Gyro but never again. Food was not hot!? They weren't busy, 2:00 on a Tuesday. The Tzatziki sauce was terrible. No cucumber taste at all, actually had horseradish in it!! Worst I have ever had that I can remember. I am a huge fan of Gyros & this was very disappointing. $15 for nothing. Brought over half of it home & fed to animals. Should have sent it back but was having a much awaited nice visit with a friend and did not want to spoil it. The service and atmosphere was great. read more

Terrific service from our waiter. Unfortunately the kitchen staff took forever to get our food out. Slow. Painfully slow. So SLOW! It took 15-20 minutes to cut two pieces of cake and scoop one serving of ice cream and deliver it to our table. The food was okay, but getting food to our table was ridiculously slow. read more

The kung pow chicken was very bad. I highly do not recommend. My chicken was grey and the quality was very bad. I didn't want to complain and have it sent back so I stomached it and now I feel like I just ate a pound of fries. Yuck.. my sister got a steak and that was decent! So it's the only thing keeping this place from being 1 star. Probably the best restaurant in Hagerstown. Amazing appetizer menu. The champagne vinegrette for the salads is delicious. Wide variety of entrees will make everyone happy. And the desserts are great - try the Italian Cream Cake. I've always had great service there and feel well taken care of. read more

Despite having a unique ambience and certainly being one of the more interesting restaurants in the area, I cannot give it higher than a three star review. The hostess was exceedingly snobby and obviously didn't like that we were not dressed to the nines to go to a restaurant in Hagerstown, Maryland in a strip mall. Our server was fine, but not particularly good. Food was average at best and while portions were large, it is debatable whether they were still worth the price. The salad they give you with your entrée is trying to be something it's not and the decorations on the walls were straight out of a Marshall's. It's a confusing mix and just not worth the price or the attitude. read more

We were really excited to try this place out but were disappointed by nearly every aspect of the experience. If I could give zero stars I would..... The staff was snarky and rude. The food was below average. The pate' was dry and the beef bolognese tasted like chef boyardee. When one of the staff overheard me talking about the food (I did not complain to anyone directly, he was just eavesdropping) he actually went and got the manager. The manager (apparently offended that I compared his beef bolognese to chef boyardee) promptly threw us out of the restaurant because we were unhappy with the food. He literally said "If you don't like it, you can get the f*** out". Maybe he was having a bad day....regardless this place isn't worth your time. read more

This place is stellar. What a downtown Frederick feel in the north end of Hagerstown, the atmosphere of an actual pianist playing a grand piano on stage surrounded by white cloaked dining tables. I have dined here several times with friends and sampled many different dishes. The first night we tried the Mussels and the Fried Green Tomatoes. Let me tell you, I make my own mussels and these knocked it out of the park. The house made champagne vinaigrette for my house salad was delicious. The 9oz filet was cooked to perfection and tender. Best restaurant to date for lamb shanks. And brunch? It's to die for. Crab Benedict with actual lump crab and virtually no filler mini cakes under poached eggs- I can't wait to get into try to duck or the 18oz ribeye. Other dishes worth an honorable mention is the Dijon Salmon and the French Onion Soup. Finish your meal with their lemon cake or homemade Creme Brûlée. Honestly, I have yet to be disappointed and there is something for everyone with their unique menu. read more

Celebrating mothers 93 birthday, one of the worst dining experiences of my life. Took over 2 hrs to get food, staff did not respond until we started to ask about food. Took 30 minutes for desert, did not get it till told waitress to cancel dessert and bring bill. Miraculously dessert was ready. Total time over 3 hrs. Will never go back read more

I wanted to try this new place out. We ordered the fried calamari and it was so tender and not rubbery. Also ordered the french onion soup which was good. Cauliflower steak was very good and the Flounder was good. They have happy hour but it is only at the bar. The have a man playing piano as background music. The chef is outstanding. Unfortunately the owners poor etiquette and bad customer service drives people away. I have witnessed on two occasions him shouting at staff and once even told a customer to get the **** out. I called ahead and asked for seating at 3:00 and was told it would not be a problem. Upon arrival the owner approached me and asked me what I was waiting for and I told him I needed a table for two and he proceeded to tell me that they were closing in five minutes and if I had read the advertisements I would've known better. Horrible. I will never return. his staff are quitting because of his attitude. Word of mouth is big in this town read more

The food was AMAZING, but it doesn't compare to the service! Nina was INCREDIBLE, from start to finish. She recommended appetizers and entrees alike, but her knowledge of cocktails was what ultimately won us over. This girl should be behind the bar! So many creative ideas and suggestions. This is my second visit, with the first visit being rated better. Pros: Equal to both visits were: excellent interior decor; excellent service; and excellent food. Cons: If there is going to be a sign that says wait to be seated then possibly there should be a person readily available rather than having to stand and wait. My first visit I just ignored the sign and went to the bar. While the interior decor is very nice, the noise level in the dining area on this visit was ridiculous, and not all the tables were occupied. On my first visit which was to the bar, the dining area was not busy and I did not notice the intensity of noise that I did on this second visit. When I mentioned the noise level to the server it was stated there had been a number of comments like that and that the restaurant was looking to correct the situation. I do look forward to other visits to this excellent restaurant but if it is busy and noisy like on this last visit I would leave. Everything was wonderful but the noise level made dinner far less enjoy and not at all relaxing. read more

I celebrated my birthday with a friend. We had a great time. Service was excellent, the owner even stopped by to chat, and the filet mignon was melt in your mouth. So good! Definitely my favorite place to get a steak. Can't wait to go back. read more

The food was adequate, but unoriginal. Our server, Lindsey, or something like that. was nice enough but very pedestrian. My wife ordered the burger and by all accounts it was superb, easily the best part of the evening. The location being in a strip mall did put a bad taste in my mouth before I walked in, which may not exactly Fair, but it was how I felt and it did color my overall experience. The menu seem very similar to a wine bar we visited a few months ago in Martinsburg while visiting family in WV. Almost like they were inspired by it. Overall, I'll probably come back, but maybe not on an overly regular basis. I do think if my server had better social graces, it would have been a more enjoyable evening. read more

Dined here about two weeks ago and it was not a great experience. Ordered the shrimp bisque as an appetizer. No hint of either shrimp or sherry and was ten times more salty than required. Had to ask for half and half to cut the salinity. Hoped my bucatini would be better but was disappointed. Obviously frozen peas that had been undercooked and were chewy. The decor is better then the previous restaurant, but I have not enjoyed the food at all. My steak on the 1st visit tasted like it fell in a fire pit , beyond gritty . I understand charbroiled but black char? Next tried the chicken salad sandwich, which has zero flavor. To top it off the host was , a total can't say the word , but less then polite will work . My husband and I had lunch here yesterday. Our server Alexa was very attentive. We wanted something different for our anniversary and chose this place. WOW!!! First we love Stella on draft. I visited Bistro Eleven for the first time Saturday night. All I can say is the experience was amazing. The server (Zack) was the absolute best, the presentations were excellent (as were the portions) and the food was perfect. A wide variety of appetizers, main dishes and an excellent drink selection.
