    Beet salad and calamari

So I still am obsessed with Bistro 11! I go at any chance I get. I came to update that I've tried the French onion soup, I'm not sure what's taken me so long but it's the best French onion soup I've ever had!! Two more of my new favorites are the Atlantic Cod piccata and the roasted beet salad-- adding pics of all! Must try. Still love the low lighting and how accommodating they are with seating and when you need to make reservations. also, Eric always makes sure to take the best care of us, thank you!

I have always had a lovely experience at bistro eleven. The staff Is super friendly and the inside feels fancier than other places. The food is yummy. I did not love my chicken but I wasn't expecting an actual chicken so that is on me. The potatoes were wonderfully crafted!

Got seated immediately. Very nice ambiance. Server was very informative and attentive. Food was good.

Crispy Chicken Sandwich - looked good, but it was not.

Inconsistent is the best way to describe Bistro 11. This is our third time here and both times 2 & 3 were underwhelming, to say the least. Second visit was husband and me again at lunchtime on a Saturday over the holidays. They were somewhat busy, but not terribly so. However, the table of 2 seated about 15 minutes after us got their entrees before we even got our salads. There was a large party in the back room that also arrived after us (~20 mins or so) who were being served food before we got our salads either. The food on visit 2 was good, but since we waited 53 minutes for it, we were kind of over the whole experience. Visit #3 we came on a Thursday evening with a party of 8. We expect some delays with that to a degree, but yeesh- this visit was probably about a 4 out of 10. We ordered the crab dip again and asked for old bay when ordering since we knew it needed it. It didn't come with it. Asked for it 2 more times and it still never came. Literally when finishing our last 2 bites, it arrived. Gee, thanks. Not to mention we were brought an extra baguette that we didn't request, but were charged for on the check. #notcool Our waitress was kind, but she was new and very overwhelmed. The owner/manager/whomever is in charge should keep a close eye on new servers to make sure they're okay when serving larger parties on a busy week night. There were a LOT of problems with service. * Some of our party never got their apps. * We never got our salads. * Waitress offered to bring them after we got our entrees. Instead we asked her to just box them up with dressing on the side. We had ordered Caesar salads. The ones we took home (& didn't notice until we were home) were garden salad with a vinaigrette (that we never would've ordered) on the side. * Drinks were forgotten. * Waters were only refilled once. To be fair she came back with water another time, but no one needed any at that time. * No dessert was offered. Husband ordered the chicken Chesapeake and the chicken was not done. Sent it back and he ordered a crab cake instead. The crab cake was good, fries were not limp this time, but had a an off flavor. I got the crab imperial and it was good. Less saucy than any crab imperial I've ever had, but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. Roasted veg on side were good though some bits were burnt. One other item of note that I didn't mention before; there is no salt and pepper on the table. To me that's a sign of a pretentious chef who thinks their food doesn't need s&p, which would be fine if it didn't actually NEED it. But everything I've had here has been under seasoned and is in definite need of additional seasoning. Either taste the food you're putting out and make sure it is actually seasoned properly or be like any other restaurant and put the damn stuff on the table! And this isn't just my opinion. Others in our party said the clam chowder needed more seasoning, one had the chicken and gnocchi and called it flavorless and unmemorable. There is a lot of potential for this place. The ambiance is nice, but they need to get it together. I'm not excited to come back any time soon after these past few experiences.

Great food, great service and a great atmosphere. Hard to believe this is in the small town of Hagerstown.

The drinks were affordable and strong, which was a definite plus. However, my main issue with The Lodge is the seating situation near the stage. If you're sitting in front, be prepared for people to stand directly in front of you during the drag show. I would've preferred if the drag queens, owner, or even security had stepped in to ask them to move. It was frustrating to have 6-foot-tall, 300-pound women completely block our view--especially after paying $18 per ticket. Also, watch out for this one wild white lady in a black shirt and floral shorts who acts invisible and blocks multiple people. If you ask her politely to move, she'll argue with you and even try to escalate things by telling you to "step outside" like she's about that life. Overall, for our first drag show, we had fun--but if you're going to enjoy the performance, be ready to be annoyed because no one there is enforcing basic courtesy or crowd control. Fair warning it is located in an area that's very dark at night so be on high alert. If coming from Hagerstown it will be on your left, if Frederick your right.

It filled up fast, and there was a lively bar crowd, and also an engagement party celebration upstairs. All of the servers were so friendly, and happy to share their favorite dishes and beers, etc. We started with the wings, which were great, and then we had the house salad with salmon and the burger and fries. OK, I did not order the burger and fries, but my boyfriend did, and I ate half the fries on his plate, they were that good! Great, friendly, with generous pours for wine, and just a really friendly, great place with perfect food for a winter day. I wish I could find a place like this in Washington, DC.

There's a lot of potential here, but when your wagyu burger costs more than Le Diplomate's iconic burger in DC, I'm expecting something amazing. Every ingredient was very seasoned on its own, but when combined, the burger was overwhelmingly salty. I could barely taste anything besides salt. The cocktails were also overly sweet, and I regrettably had to send them back a couple of times. That said, our waiter's service was excellent. But this place needs a lot of improvement. Way too salty, too greasy, and overpriced.
