We had both specials lamb bolognese, ribeye with Demi glaze and the bruschetta app and all were delicious! I'm not understanding all of these 4 & 5 stars reviews this restaurant has. This is definitely Not a gourmet restaurant that is deserving of more than 2 stars on a good day. We picked up dinner for my grandsons birthday & what a disappointment. Salty overcooked food that gave us the worse heartburn I have ever experienced. The Dairy Queen in Billings is more enjoyable & doesn't give you that awful heartburn that didn't let me sleep all night. The cost per person this place charges it's an outrage considering the heartburn, super salty food obviously cooked by a person in desperate need of extensive culinary training. Enzo has seen better days when the restaurant had an executive chef that is no longer there. Attention Owner: hire an executive chef or risk losing clientele. read more

So Yelp says they are open until 11pm but due to Covid they are closing earlier we got there about 10 minutes before they closed. They seated us and were extremely pleasant and friendly. The food was off the charts good! I had the Greek Salad, split the shrimp cocktail and the Halibut special ~ amazing! My husband had the Veal Piccata ~ perfectly prepared. I asked my husband where in Billings he wanted to go for his birthday, and he chose Enzo's. It had been about two years since we had been here. It was just as good as we remembered! We ordered the Crispy Calamari for an appetizer, which was exquisite! It was both crispy and chewy, and dipping it into the voodoo cocktail sauce created the perfect taste combination. My husband had a steak that was cooked to perfection, along with a draft beer, and I had the Greek salad entrée topped with beef steak. We enjoyed every bite of our dinners. Enzo's no longer serves a bread basket with the meals, but it is still available for a small charge. Very solid meal, from soup to nuts. Best meal I've had in Billings in a long time. Excellent standard menu choices but our group of four all went with the specials for entrees and were not disappointed. However, first the starters. We all split a fantastic burrata salad with some of the best grilled bread I've ever had. Rarely does a couple of slices of bread make the difference but this was exceptional. The Tuna Tartare was very good as well- very fresh and well seasoned. The entrees were exceptional. A hyper-fresh thick slab of halibut was perfectly cooked and accompanied by a very delicate burre blanc with just a hint of lemon. Could have licked the plate. The lamb "steak" (was cut from the leg) was spot on- perfectly cooked to medium, well seasoned and again, very local and very fresh. Combine all this with a very reasonable wine list and attentive service (she seemed to have a bit too many tables our night) and you've got a winner here. read more

I had high hopes coming in and immediately liked the interior and music. The atmosphere was great and the service was good. Prompt but not overwhelming. I drink a lot of water but they were great about keeping my glass full. Unfortunately I thought my entree was only ok. I got the duck which was overcooked for the medium rare I ordered. I could have overlooked this since the meat was still rich and tender however the rest of the dish was equally disappointing. The sauce on the udon noodles was bland and just left me wanting more flavor. I would give it another try but would not get the duck again. read more

I first tried this place a few months ago upon first moving back to Billings. This is my 3rd visit and literally all areas a 5, every time. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Candles, soft jazz music. Rustic and contemporary decor. The staff are wonderful. Tonight I tried the Rustica Rigatoni and added a spoonful of goat cheese on top. The capers and goat cheese made this pasta dish oh so delicioso! I have tried it with the andouille sausage as well, really good! The Red Beet and Gorgonzola salad is equally tasty. Lightly blanketed in a balsamic vinegarette. The pepitas give it a nice addition to the all over flavor. Great wine selection too! read more

Ran in quick without reservations. They accommodated us so quickly and in such a friendly way! They were "following all the rules" while making us feel welcome in these Covid times. We were in view of the kitchen and were blown away watching them work their magic! We actually had three appetizers, one is not pictured. The Crispy Calamari could not have been done justice in the photo. Loved both the voodoo cocktail sauce and the garlic aioli sauce. All three were amazing and the wine was great! Again, the service was what made it most special. We've been here before, don't get to Billings often, but definitely come here to Enzo Bistro & Wine Bar when we get the chance. read more

Ugh, where do I start? Seated promptly upstairs, and the interior is very nice. Saturday night at 6pm, it was crowded, so we expected it to be kinda slow. We started out with a glass of the current special red, a Megaphone Granache, which was really nice and smooth. Ordered the Sicilian flatbread as an appetizer, the Carbonara pasta and the pasta rustica. The flatbread was a disaster. Not only was it paper-thin, and I mean that - was as thin as a sheet of paper, but it was soggy and the toppings horrible. The sundried tomato pesto was bitter, the artichokes taken from a jar and the arugula salad heaped in the middle. I've been making and eating Italian flatbreads my whole life - never have I seen a flatbread so thin and tasteless, certainly not in Italy when I visited. Ok, on to the entrees. I'm at fault for ordering the carbonara because I saw that the menu said "Americanized" and it had cream in it. But I figured I'd try it. And what's up with having to pay an extra $1.00 for an egg with Carbonara?? Are you kidding me? That's an essential part of the recipe. The dish was disgusting. It was drowned in cream so that you couldn't taste anything else. There was no parsley or garlic flavor, the pancetta was overcooked and the egg actually made it worse. Carbonara is a simple to make but complex tasting dish. And guanciale should be used instead of pancetta. The pasta rustica was okay, but very bland. Oh, I almost forgot when they brought out bread and olive oil and balsamic vinegar. They nicely brought a small dish, put some olive oil in it and the poured some balsamic in also. Unfortunately, the balsamic vinegar they used was so cheap, acidic and vinegary it was inedible. Good Modena balsamic is actually sweet with a slight bite. This stuff tasted like white vinegar with red food coloring. When we asked for a second glass of wine, it came quickly but actually tasted quite different. And it would've been nice if the waiter had removed the empty first glass of wine instead of just leaving it there, despite us putting it on the outside edge of the table, that he walked by a dozen times. Please, spare yourself the grief, find somewhere else because the chef is incompetent or insane. read more

Only reason I gave it 3 stars was for the quality of the food. We have eaten here before and everything was great. However, this was hands down the worst service I have received in a long time! I served tables all through college and understand customer service. There was two couples at dinner. After the server took our order that was the last we saw of him. We were not once offered an additional drink from the one we ordered when we sat down. In fact, 3 of the 4 water glasses were completely empty and not refilled once the entire meal. We had to physically get up from the table and go to the server station to ask for crushed peppers for a pizza we ordered. We had not eaten here for at least 3 years and I doubt I'll be back. read more

I didn't catch our server's name but he was excellent, very knowledgeable and professional. I wanted to order one of the specials, a swordfish piccata, they had unfortunately just run out so I ordered the veal piccata instead. It was very good but the real star of the meal was my date's steak. She ordered a coffee rubbed rib eye that was amazing. As good as the veal was, I wish I had ordered it instead. As an added bonus, the waiter comped a desert due to being out of my original choice. Another popular spot in Billings that's been a fave to so many people I know. For some, it's THE place to go for a special occasion. Hadn't been in years so we went out for our 30th anniversary. What a bummer! Every single item is a la carte, including a bread basket with bread that was NOT the least bit special, fresh or house made. The menu is all high priced but again nothing stood out that begged me to order it. That night anyway it all looked the same. We don't spend money to eat out often so this was a HUGE bummer. The food was average at best. I ordered the seafood linguine which had 90% pasta and 10% seafood. I'm not an amazing cook but there wasn't one item I couldn't make at home for 1/4 the price. Pretty good little spot for fine dining but affordable and not downtown. We ordered a bottle of wine on a Saturday night, which was not a terrible markup from the store, but something good to try. Server was excellent at pouring, serving and telling us about the specials. We sat upstairs which was a nice quaint spot. My husband got the Alfredo spaghetti with scallops and shrimp. It was solid and not too expensive. We took home leftovers and it heated up well. But I kinda thought I probably could make it at home. Plenty of shrimp and plenty of little bay scallops so that is excellent. I got the Greek salad, with the additional pita and steak. I really enjoyed the steak and salad. It had a good bite with the feta, and olives. My steak was prepared to my liking-rare and was very flavorful, Juicy and rare. The pita was hard as a rock. I'm not sure why. Other people in my party got a panini and hamburger. The specials sounded amazing and if I was more hungry I would have gotten the lamb or maybe the fish. Overall it seemed to a Billings caliber "fancy" restaurant, which is okay by me. read more

We came in for a pre-wedding party. Large group of 15+ people. The staff was more than gracious. The manager on duty paid special attention to our group. They do not serve cocktails but the wine and beer list is extensive. There were samplings of many item favorites from the menu. I had a delicious steak salad. Not ideal but we needed to have dinner prior to our other event. While we were eating we got a call that our table was ready. The hostess was surprised and apologized. We met another couple here in anticipation of a special, relaxing evening. A table of 10 extremely obnoxious young girls were seated across from us half a hour later. They were obviously drunk by the time they even arrived, yet the servers kept bringing them alcohol. They should've been moved upstairs but instead were allowed to ruin our entire evening. and everyone else's, including a couple trying to celebrate their 45th anniversary. Rude, inconsiderate behavior. These girls belonged in a bar, not in the center of a restaurant where others were there to enjoy. Couldn't hear a thing except them. Left with a serious headache, a large bill, and an extremely lousy experience. The owner was even there! What a joke. Obviously you don't care about our long-time business and prefer to cater to disrespectful spoiled brats. Ruined the evening for many, including our guests. Next time we will save our money and go someplace with actual CLASS. I know you won't post this. I hope you are happy letting them ruin the night for everyone else. read more

LOVED THIS PLACE! Let me start by saying that I am extremely skeptical of eating places that are $20-30 a head, I so often don't get full, or feel that the quality of food didn't match the price tag. With that being said...this place killed it! Our waiter was literally the most informed, well spoken, courteous man I have ever had the service of being waited on in my entire life. The veal my girlfriend got was delicious beyond comparison, and my rack of lamb had me glowing for hours after the meal. Most importantly though... THE CHEESECAKE. -I love cheesecake. I take it very seriously. And I am willing to say that the coconut cheesecake they had is second to none. So good. If your in a hurry or don't want to do a fancy dinner...I recommend going their and just getting the cheesecake to go, you will not be disappointed. read more

I was in Billings on business for a week. My second time there, I was still overwhelmed by the dominance of chains in the area where I was staying. A coworker who'd spent more time in Billings raved about Enzo. We attempted to go one evening with our rather large party of out-of-town coworkers and were turned away, as they could no accommodate our large group that night (a Tuesday). I was not privvy to the experience, as the other half of our group had arrived before us, but they felt their treatment had been "rude" and "snobby." The next night, the smaller group of us who had not born the brunt of being turned away decided to try again. We were seated immediately, served impeccably (by Eboni), and greatly enjoyed our food, including our indulgent desserts. I had the beet salad and the soup of the day, followed by the creme brulee. For our last night in Billings, celebrating the completion of our project, we convinced the rest of our group to return. This time, on a Friday night, we made a reservation for our large group, without incident. We were glad to have the same server, who did just as well with our large group. Even our coworkers who were skeptical were thoroughly won over by the end of the evening, even before we were sent some additional complimentary treats. Any future trips to Billings will certainly include a meal or two at Enzo. read more

I was at Walker's on Sunday night, and comparing the two I was feeling like Enzo was coming out pretty favorably for the first 3 courses, if only because they seem to be more confident in their identity than Walker's is. After the main course, I thought it was going to be a 4 star review, because the dishes really came together into a meal that was all executed pretty well. Then we were served probably the worst dessert I have ever had in any restaurant I have ever been in, diners, bars, and chain restaurants included. It was a martini glass half full of bailey's and kahlua, with a tiny scoop of chocolate ice cream in it. I almost spit it back out! As a cocktail it would have been marginal, but as a dessert it was a disaster. Since that was the last thing I tasted at the meal, it left me with a much less optimistic view of the place than I had after my perfectly decent carbonara. I will give them high praise for the manchego on the insalata caprese, and the poached egg on my carboara though. Those were both excellent touches. Our server was also great. Next time I will skip dessert, and come out happier. read more
