For our main entrees, we had the fish & chips and cedar plank maple glazed salmon with a homemade chimichurri. First of all, I'm huge on fish & chips, and I can say this place has one of the best I've had. The batter is perfect and the tartar sauce is homemade! You can taste the freshness. The salmon was cooked perfectly. Not overdone at all. The chimichurri sauce was really good too. We finished off with the crème brûlée, and that was probably my least favorite. It's not bad, but just mediocre. I highly recommend making reservations, especially on a weekend. It gets very busy!

We were in a larger group of 10+ people and must have overwhelmed their kitchen as a bunch of us had ordered the carbonara with some waiting an hour to get their dishes. There is both the pub side with TVs for sporting events, and the dining room side with a log cabin type classic feel. Wait staff are extremely friendly. Got here just before a rush - the place does get very busy! Appetizers we ordered the tapas trio - which is your selection of 3 apps. We got the chicken satay with an awesome peanut satay sauce, the deep fried cauliflower, and the truffle potatoes. The truffle sauce for the potatoes was amazing. Very complex and just enough to split. The main course with the braised short ribs with the mashed potatoes. You don't have the upgrade the side - the mashed are a staff favourite. When the main course of braised short ribs came, it was amazingly tender, fall off the bone, and the sweet sauce was just right. The creamy mashed potatoes and veggies made a perfect finish. Cannot compliment the place enough. It lived up to the reputation and we will be back again! Great place for a dinner with friends or family just a few minutes from the slopes.

But when the server brought out the fondue with a half inch of liquid on top and warned us we would have to stir the fondue a lot to keep it from splitting, we knew we were in trouble. I've never seen fondue split like that. There was an inch or so of runny milk on top and a gluey blob of cheese in the middle no matter how much we stirred. It was a shame because the flavor was pretty good but the texture gave me the ick. And the quality to price ratio was outrageous. We might consider trying them again for chocolate fondue but I wouldn't come back for cheese.

While my husband ordered their cheeseburger sliders. Everything was ok, nothing out of the ordinary and it wasn't bad either. The salad was fresh but oddly had pickles in them (which I didn't mind because I love pickles). The fries in the poutine were crispy and the gravy was flavorful and hearty. The only complaint I had was they put whole black peppercorns in there which made it really spicy when you accidentally eat one of them. There's also a lot and I got annoyed for needing to take the time to separate them out to ensure I didn't pick it up along with the fries. I didn't try the cheeseburger but my husband said they were decent. We were also shocked by the large portion size as we couldn't finish everything. One of the reason that got us interested in trying Lucille's was their $1 oysters. At this price point, their oysters were farm raised but we thought it was pretty decent for the value. They are on the tiny side, a little briny but still had a tad creamy after taste which I liked. The oysters were also the reason why we decided to return for dinner for the second round. For dinner, I ended up ordering their wood plank salmon, which came with a side of salad which was crisp and refreshing. As for the salmon, it was unfortunately a little disappointing. The portion size was smaller than expected and the fish was a little overcooked and dry imo. My husband ordered their steak since they mentioned how they dry age it themselves but he said it didn't not taste like it was dry aged and it was overcooked even though he ordered medium rare. We had the same server for both our lunch and dinner and he was great. Extremely friendly, attentive and patient with us. When we went for lunch, it wasn't just at all but I do recommend making a reservation for dinner. We walked in thinking it's not very busy but it ended up being most of the tables were reserved and we got stuck at the back table next to their work station and exit which was very uncomfortable and cold because the servers had to keep opening the door to walk in and out between the inside and outdoor patio. Overall, this is a good option for both lunch and dinner. Prices are a little high but expected given it's in the village of a ski resort. This was probably one of the better meals we had during our stay.

For our meal, we decided to order two of the massive Tomahawk steaks to create our own custom, family-style sharing platter for the table. We had the four course meal which was safe compared to other fine dining restaurants we've been in Québec and Ontario. Nonetheless, it was really delicious; for us, the duck breast meal was the star. The cocktails however were under average for a Michelin Guide recommended fine dining restaurant. Service itself was absolutely great. My one remark would be the time in-between courses were quite long (3 hours for a 4 course menu). The ambiance was great and they sat us in a beautiful half-moon booth. Thank you for this really nice experience!
