I am constantly on the hunt for delicious local eats, as I really enjoy supporting small business owners in my county. Ever since Bistro Saechao opened a few months ago, I have been wanting to try their food! I first found about this place via their social media accounts. I finally had the chance to try Bistro Saechao out earlier this week! The Thai Satay sandwich had always called out to me, and it was delicious! The sandwiches are all freshly made to order, and I got it on the French roll. The peanut coleslaw was so refreshing! The chicken satay was super juicy and flavorful, with tons of sauce dripping from the sandwich. The French roll was perfectly crispy and held up well with all the sauce from the chicken and the peanut coleslaw. I love a good alternative to traditional banh mi, and this was excellent. As for the drink, I had the Tutti Fruity smoothie in a 16 Oz, and as it was a pretty warm day, I was thankful for such a refreshing drink. The ube foam was a great addition to the smoothie, and all of the components meshed well. Nothing clashed in terms of flavor or texture. Bistro Saechao is inside Jackson Fitness, but it is a quiet front area and there are bar chairs inside as well as a few rustic metal tables outside to sit if you wish to eat there. The owners are super friendly and are always keen to answer any questions about the menu, and the food is made with care, so expect a reasonable wait time after you order. I would love to try the other food/sandwich selections Bistro Saechao offers, as well as their other smoothies. I will be back in the near future! read more

I drove 40 min out of my way to finally try this place and it did not disappoint! Came strictly for their Friday special- shrimp pancit. My Lord! It was amazing. I have been wanting to try Bistro Saechao for a while now. I'm so happy I finally tried it today. I got the asian bowl & the chicken satay sandwich. Both are AMAZING!!! Hands down one of my new favorite spot to eat. I also got a brown sugar milk tea with boba. My only complaint is that the boba needed to be cooked longer but I still drank all of it! I wish I could've added a brown sugar drizzle. But it doesn't need it. Love love love this place. read more

My wife and I were on the way from Sacramento to visit the Black Chasm Cavern during the lunch hour. We were happy to find a new location that had just opened, Bistro Saechao, which was nearby. We were eager to grab a quick bite to eat as there were minimal food options in the area and we did not want to deal with restaurant wait times - also we weren't wanting any greasy nor heavy food. The bistro is located inside Jackson Fitness. Upon walking in, you are immediately greeted by Bistro Saechao. The interior is small but modest with modern touches to the high ceiling. I loved that the seating area gives you a clear view of the preparation of the food. We come from a Southeast Asian and Pacific Islander background - same as the owners. When we read their article on the local newspaper, Ledger Dispatch, we were instantly intrigued to see their take on Southeast Asian & Pacific Islander food with a western twist. As an Asian person, I am very picky with Asian restaurants especially when there is a modern twist but they proved otherwise. I ordered the Pilipino Adobo sandwich w/ chicken. I've never thought about pairing coleslaw with chicken adobo, let alone in a sandwich ! The cilantro and cucumber gave the sandwich a refreshing taste and the jalapeños were the perfect hint of spice. I had a wonderful experience and will for sure come back to grab some quick eats. I would say this is now my go to spot now when in the area. Not only is the food good and quickly prepared, it's healthy + delicious and affordable! I wish I got more photos but I was too busy enjoying my sandwich. The owners are very friendly and very attentive. They seem to already have made good relations with the locals here even calling them by name as they walk in. Gotta give it to them for creating something amazing and bonding with the community they are setting their roots in. I highly recommend this place if you need a quick bite to eat in or take it to go on your way to work or any outdoor adventures. This place has delicious, flavorful food which is hard to find in Amador County! Lol. I highly recommend the chicken philipino adobo sandwich on a French roll, it's amazing! The wait is a little long so I recommend to call it in ahead of time. The berry blast smoothie is also amazing! read more

I found this little place on Yelp while driving through the area and looking for a bite to eat. Trust your Google Maps because you're going to end up in a small business park... and the cafe inside the entrance to a gym. Don't let that dissuade you in any way. We were greeted by one of the owners, Ellen, who was friendly and engaging. There is limited seating indoors but we took a spot ate the little table. Ordering was uncomplicated, menu varied and VERY reasonably priced. It didn't take long for our order to arrive, fresh and piping hot. We split the BBQ Quesadilla (really good) and the Pilipino Adobo sandwich (AMAZING). Such a wonderful experience at this business; I wish the owners nothing but wonderful successes and hope to visit them again soon! We ate here for lunch and had 2 types of quesadillas, chicken adobo and bulgogi. Both were probably some of best savory quesadillas I have ever had, and I travel for a living. In addition we had some of their smoothies that were equally delicious. The owners were very kind and polite. The food felt fresh. We learned they make most of their sauces from scratch, in addition to the kimchi they use in their food. They also sell their kimchi and I am looking forward to purchasing some for home. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is in Jackson looking for a healthy and delicious meal. read more

My favorite place to stop at on my lunch break while in Jackson. Get the Mr. Greens smoothie. It's tasty and refreshing on a hot workday. I keep wanting to try the other smoothies too but this one is SO GOOD! Pictured is half (because I ate the other half) of the Korean Bulgogi sandwhich as a wrap with beef! Crunchy and flavorful. Food is always made to order and with fresh ingredients. Wrap was filling and I'd recommend the protein box as well! Great service and a welcoming environment. Awesome sandwiches! Stopped by this little bistro on the way home from Tahoe. Located a little off the beaten track in a fitness center. Had the adobo chicken on sourdough and satay chicken on French breads. Both were delicious and the bread so fresh and soft! Will definitely stop here again! The woman who runs it was so nice and friendly. She even let our dog come inside as it was a bit chilly on the patio. High marks all around :). read more

This is a nice hidden gem in Jackson city. The food and drinks are made upon order. I grabbed the Asian Bowl with chicken and Thai satay sauce. The noodles and greens hit the spot and the flavor was *chef's kiss*, including the spice level I was looking for. The menu is great if you're looking for something healthy, on the go or to sit down and enjoy. The owners are friendly and definitely know their stuff!
